On amazon this book is promoted as a "twisty must read thriller" and I can honestly say, I agree! This book was so gripping, I couldn't wait to finish it! Really solid and enthralling read, recommended to anyone who loves a good read that keeps you entertained until the end.

A slow burn for me that I thought about putting down on more than one occasion I am glad I kept at it as I wasn't disappointed, it had enough twists to draw me back in. .A very appropriate title tho, as so many characters in this book need to tell the truth. I did think the ultimate plot twist clever, overall I did enjoy the book.

I really loved 'Tell The Truth'. It was a true mystery/ thriller in every sense of the word and kept you guessing right up until the very end. It was interesting to see a professional psychotherapist, then begin to doubt her own mind and what she was seeing happen around her. I liked that the story was told from three different narrators, serial killer, the main character in real time and then her mother in the past. Really interesting and kept things fresh.

Thank you to the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I feel like I've read many thrillers similar to this and this one felt a bit mediocre to me. The plot was overly complicated and some of the reveals are obvious and unthrilling. By the time I got to the end, I didn't care enough about the resolution.

This had just enough thrill to keep me reading and wanting to figure out what was going on before it was revealed. Decent mystery/thriller!

This book was fast paced. Hard to put down. It flowed well and it was very well written. It caught hold of me and had me hooked from the start . I was literally on the edge of my seat reading this book.

A thrilling read which kept me turning the pages, characters you care for and just brilliantly written. Great novel!!

Intriguing concept. Great locale. Characters were lacking to me. Can we just agree that the author lacks an understanding of what a psychologist does? Well, a decent one at any rate. The character frequently cancels sessions and doesn’t seek therapy herself even though she’s noted disturbing character flaws. I think had the author been given a few more years, this would have been a much better story with deeply fleshed out characters instead of the insubstantive ones we meet and learn to dislike.

I read this book in one sitting, couldn't stop reading! Plenty of twists and most I didn't guess. I've not read anything from the author before but I'll definitely look out for more!

Thankyou to NetGalley, HQ Digital and the author, Amanda Brittany, for the opportunity to read a digital copy of Tell The Truth in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
I thought the premise of the storyline sounded really good and certainly attracted my interest.
The storyline itself was slow to start but definitely worth hanging in there to finish it.

This is a fantastic modern family thriller. I couldn't put it down. There are two stories running at the same time for an explosive ending.

Slow at the start and it took me two tries till I stuck with it, but glad I did. Enjoyable read. Will look for the author's next book.

Told in multiple POV, in both 1st and 3rd person. It’s a standalone novel. Alternating between past and present, it’s a twisty read (some of them I didn’t see coming), well-written, fast-paced with short chapters. A real page-turner with a satisfactory ending (albeit a bit rushed)! This was my second read by this author and like the previous one, I enjoyed this, even more than that! Overall, loved it and hope you enjoy it as well!

Tell the Truth - Amanda Brittany

I have to admit that this book was a bit of a struggle to get into but on saying that I definitely didn’t hate it and I will say that it won’t be the last from this author. I found it to be a little all over for me, things didn’t seem to slot naturally for me. What I did like was the well thought approach to some rather sensitive issues.

We travel between the nineteen eighties and the present. From the first page we have the voice of the killer and we spend the rest of the book try to figure out who it is, let me tell you its not who you think it is.

Following a difficult break up Rachel is now a single parent of a four year old child, Rachel who works as a psychotherapist has a happy but fragmented memory of her childhood and the time she had with her mother. The only other blight in her life if that sadly her mother suffers from Alzheimer’s and is in a nursing home being cared for.

One day she begins to get FB friend requests from people she doesn’t know their profiles show that they have literally no friends. Then comes the messages and then the phone call while she’s doing s slot on live television knocks her for six.

Things gather pace and the book comes to a decent ending and I have to be honest and admit that I got it wrong which pleased me.

Tell The Truth by Amanda Brittany is a psychological thriller thats starts with an eerie phonecall to a live TV broadcast. Rachel is then haunted by social media posts and struggles to find answers while looking after her mother with alzheimers and dealing with a break up and being a single mum.

I did enjoy this book but it wasn't one of my favorites. It was a bit slow to start and I found the lack of pace a little frustrating.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC for my honest review.

The story starts out with a confession from an unidentified murderer, and then moves to Rachel being interviewed on live TV and a chilling call she receives on-air. We then meet her mum in flashbacks to 1987 and onward and discover more about Rachel, her mom and a bit of their background.
Her mum, Laura is now in a care home for acute Alzheimer's and during one visit announces she needs to tell Rachel about things that happened in the past.
This comment from her mum, combined with the strange phone call and then numerous Facebook friend requests from the murder victims the murderer confesses to in confessions between the story begin to weigh heavily on her. Added to that she is dealing with a break-up; being a single mom; dealing with her own sick mom - all these things leave her struggling to make sense of her life.
All these strange requests plus baffling occurrences leave Rachel determined to discover what her mom is hiding - which in itself is an uphill task due to the extreme dementia.
The flashbacks to 1987 onward with Laura plus the confessions from the unknown murderer gives the reader a bit of an inside track of events and allows you to develop your own theories with all the knowledge Rachel doesn't get.
I moved through a couple of theories during the flow of this novel and even at about 65% of the way in, I wasn't sure which one was true and it turned out at the end most were way wrong!
The book started off so slowly that I wondered what all the various narratives were about and how they would tie together and then they grabbed me! So then I had to sacrifice some sleep to see where they went.
This was a brilliant read based upon what children remember from very young ages - what is real and actually remembered and what is made up or tweaked by what we were told by our parents and other important people in our lives.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me the chance to read this book.

This was a decent psychological thriller with many twist and secrets. The author writes the story from multiple POV and that adds an interesting layer to the plot. Rachel is a psychologist trying to keep it together as her husband leaves her and her mother has dementia. She tries to uncover who is stalking and sending disturbing messages as the author unravels each piece layer by layer through varies timeliness we begin to see the full picture. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was how slow it was in the beginning but worth reading till the end.
