I would like to thank netgalley and the author for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
The romance was too quick and not really believable.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I also purchased a copy.
This was a quick read. While this is the third in the series, it is the first one that I read. I did enjoy the book but Dr. Scott Pratt turned me off a little. When he and Princess Charlene meet for the first time, you could feel the instant attraction. The turn-off for me, he was already seeing someone, another doctor who joined him in the trip no less.
Scott is a highly trained and successful doctor and is asked to come and save the life of a little boy with two brain tumors. His mother just happens to be his old girl-friend, the love of his life (her journey to her HEA with Prince Paul is the first book of this series).
The book is written in a dual POV format. It was helpful here with Scott at least for me. I was able to learn more about him and his prior relationships from his thoughts. This is a clean read and a second chance romance for the surgeon.
A well written romance. I enjoyed the plot, characters and writing. I received an arc from Netgalley and this is my unbiased review.
Her husband should not be so insecure.
Okay, Dr. Pratt is hot. Kings want his services? Damn.
Honey, what makes you think he's old?
Huh, she's quite bold.
Poor little baby.
No one told her he almost married her sister-in-law?

Wham! Bam! The main characters meet and fall in love within a day or two. Not really realistic nor was there any sort of build up. Obviously I felt like the romance was rushed between Scott and Charlene, and the chemistry? What chemistry?! There was none nor any connection between them. Series was just a quick and easy read. I'm pretty sure the series summary was a lot more interesting than the story itself. Nothing to rave about but I will say, what made me even consider reading this was the concept. I really wished the author took that into consideration and really had made this story worth while. It could have been something to rave about.
Good read. I have read several books by this author and like her style of writing. This story was a little uncomfortable for some of the parties but they over came it well. This was also a Princess story and ex girlfriend of Scott, who was the neurosurgeon who did surgery on the little boy Eric. Scott falls in love with the Prince s sister Charlene in just a week. I love medical romance.
