This is THE coolest book about Egypt! I learned oodles of stuff, such as hieroglyphics, tomb raiders and Queen Cleopatra. The book is designed to teach research - the fun way! Do you want to know the riddle of the Sphinx? I do! And ewww! a whole page about making a mummy!

This beautiful, where’s Wally style book is perfect for those wanting to undetstand a little geography and history. The book is right in the sense that each time you look you’ll discover something new.

A good book, using what is now a standard format – large pages, with very detailed double-paged spreads, and the emphasis on finding things as an educational exercise. The spreads have either two or three easy-to-read paragraphs, and whether they be inside King Tut's burial excavations, an old Egyptian mine or even a wedding party, the fact you have ten things to find mean you absorb semi-trivial factoids that accompany the key of things to be sought. And when you get to the end, lo and behold there are dozens of other things to go back and seek. This is a very good primer for Egyptology, but I know why school librarians are reluctant to buy these things – so many idiots would ring round what's on the to-find list and spoil the hunt for others. Still, if you want to instil a fan of Egypt in the house, or if you home-educate children, this is well worth a look. A strong four stars.

Even if I'm not a children it was a lot of fun to read this book and find the objects.
I loved the well researched historical parts as much as I liked the game part.
I think this is a great book to help children to learn about Egypt history.

My son and I would spend hours looking at books like this when he was younger, and I still have a soft spot for "finding" books. Long's book takes us all the way back to Ancient Egypt. Each 2-page section tells of the history and life in Ancient Egypt while providing very cute and funny images to find among the crowds. Some of my favorites are the farting hippo, flying underwear, stepping in poo, sand angel, alien stone slab, and a man being sick. Long's book provides hours of entertainment, educational opportunities, and all around fun for all ages.
