I found this book to be very inspirational. The book, a compilation of passages from the 2005 bestseller A New earth, is a perfect starting point for those trying to introduce more spirituality into their lives. Its definitely a book that can be re-read multiple times and is a great read to centre oneself.
Filled with interesting and insightful information. This book is the perfect book to dip in and dip out of, throughout the week, month or even year.
This is one of those coffee table books that you needn’t read on consecutive days, but pick up now and again when you feel you need some motivation, some guidance or wisdom. I’m still working my way through it but can say that I’m enjoying it and would like a paper copy to dogear and digest more than once, once I’ve finished this digital copy that Penguin UK/Netgalley kindly allowed me to review.
This is a super book by Eckhart Tolle. Its a great book to dip into. Full of insightful writing and a book that makes you reflect and think about life.
Thanks to Netgalley and Penguin UK for the ARC Copy.
I’m desperate to see Eckhart live so reading this was the next best thing... and it didn’t disappoint! Definitely one to change your thinking for the year ahead.
I hadn't read anything quite like this before. I tried to read too much in one sitting and found it a bit much but if you just read small sections at a time and use it to reflect, it can be very inciteful.
This book is a valuable addition to this works of Eckhart Tolle. It is a book to be savoured and enjoyed, read slowly over a number of days and months. There is so much wisdom here about the human condition and it will be very helpful to those seeking peace through mindfulness and meditation.
I was fortunate to receive a complimentary digital copy of this book (through NetGalley) in return for an honest review.
Eckhart Tolle is one of the current top "gurus" and shot to bestseller lists with "The Power of Now". He has written several excellent books since including "A New Earth" and this book is a collection of the best parts from that. It is for dipping in and out of and feeding your contemplative mind as you're sitting on a train or in the bath. Tolle does not write easy books or at least you can read more into them that the surface if you choose. I think you get out what you put in. And in this case it is worth it. Ways to think about our life today. Makes sense to me...
I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley in return for an honest review.
This man is a guru for a very good reason, he knows what he’s on about. Another modern classic from Tolle.
Eckhart Tolle has done it again
another insightful and wonderful book with so much widsom and inspuration.
i couldnt put it down
ive recommended this to so many people
I'm a complete beginner to this topic and as such, this probably isn't the best book to start with. I've never read A New Earth either! However, it is a lovely little book to dip in and out of when you need to hear a few inspiring words of wisdom and spiritual teaching and as you attempt to live in the here and now. Thought provoking.
Many thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this ARC for which I have given my voluntary and unbiased review.
This book is a companion volume to 'A New Earth' comprising a selection of passages the author considered as particularly inspirational or suitable for meditative reading. The author recommends that you read 'A New Earth' (perhaps several times) before using 'Oneness with All Life'.
Having said that I have not read 'A New Earth' but still found this book totally inspirational. It is not a book to read from cover to cover, but to dip into; read a chapter or even a paragraph or two and take time to absorb it. The chapters are not long, but I really appreciated the way each focuses on an aspect of Eckhart Tolle's writing - such as Inner Space or Becoming Present - highlighting a few key messages.
If I were to take a book to a desert island, I would possibly choose something by Eckhart Tolle. His books need to be read and re-read. Each time, something new will jump out at you. Mindfulness has become very popular in recent years and 'Oneness with All Life' is a good reminder of why it is so important to stay actively in the present moment and to create space between our thoughts.
If you feel overwhelmed by mind chatter, emotions, objects or the effort of living your life then I would recommend taking the time to read some pages of this book. Eckhart Tolle reminds us of the importance of simply stopping and taking a conscious breath from time to time. It could be the most important thing we do in a day to start us on the road to being at one with life.
My thanks to NetGalley for a review copy of this book.
Eckhart Tolle, publishing phenomenon, celebrity favourite and the most popular spiritual author in the United States, releases this, his eighth book which is essentially a collection of some of the most helpful passages from his 2005 bestseller A New Earth. This is the type of book that you return to when you need something to inspire, uplift and centre yourself. What I particularly enjoyed was that the quotes and passages are all so deep and much lengthier than those from other similar books.
Oneness With All Life is an ideal gift for those who need a little motivation and let's face it, we all do every once in a while. It does a sterling job at providing some real perspective and food for thought but never comes across as preachy.
Many thanks to Michael Joseph for an ARC.
