Quite a good read, kept me engaged, really enjoyed the plot and the characters and i would read more from this author.
Anna and Liam have split up after supposedly being on the way to getting married in the future.
After moving away, landing at wild flower park alike Sophie her best friend living next door, married with kids and currently pregnant, Anna thought she too would be by the time she hit thirty, when she's twenty eight and suddenly single once again.
Meanwhile from Sophie's perspective she wishes her nightmare kids and do nothing husband weren't holding her back career wise like they are and feels they take her for granted especially when Dave doesn't plan holidays or treats for them to do instead just messes around with his gaming.
After Hudson joins their company and Anna and Sophie hear he's gay it doesn't stop Sophie having a huge crush on him and later when Liam shows up again unasked for Anna and Hudson tells a lie that's so huge but could it come true for them?
The book is full of drama from Sophie going into labour on the park, Hudson going to New York with Anna to show her his hometown and where they could end up working with some really cute moments, university reunion invites keep arriving making Anna uneasy and Connor not being fully boyfriend material in a huge drama involving her parents and some drugs as well the book takes many twists and turns and drama you don't see coming it felt like a thriller not just chick lit!
Anna being alone takes on a cat from the shelter which is lovely to read adoption isn't ever hardly raised as an issue in books and especially as it links her to her cat's former owner who loved him so much she took him to him and have an old man many forms of friendship.
I loved the depth in this plot Bella's books keep on bringing more!
Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!
I was glad to meet again the cast of characters and read this heartwarming and entertaining book.
I like the style of writing of the author, the cast of characters and the setting.
The plot was engaging, the perfect escape for a lazy afternoon.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.
Recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
I have read some of Bella Osborne's books before, so I was delighted to receive an early preview copy from Netgalley.
This book features Anna, who has just been dumped by her fiance Liam. She is trying to rebuild her life in her lovely flat. Anna is treated to have a fresh start, but she suddenly has the attention of three men, including Liam. She finds it hard to know which one she can trust.
This book has lots of twists and turns which kept me interested. There is also a lot of humour, surrounding Anna and her neighbours Sophie and Dave.
I really enjoyed reading this book, I definitely recommend it.
This was an okay read for me, sometimes it felt a bit long winded, and dragged on in places but I’m glad I stuck with it as I loved the ending. Not sure if I would read books from the author again though
Hadn't read this author before and hadn't realized it had first been published in 4 parts. Glad I'd read it as a whole. Had a lot of twists and turns.
These are simple cozy village stories with likable characters and colorful settings. Great for a spring break read at the beach.
Originally published in four individual parts, this is the novel in full and in my opinion the best way to read it.
Anna's life takes a massive turn when she is dumped by her fiance and then moves to a house on the edge of Wildflower Park. A private park for residents and one only accessible by key and location of house.
Determined to concentrate on her career, Anna wants to put all thoughts about men out of her head. That is until she literally bumps into her new colleague and then starts getting mysterious flirty texts from a random stranger. It seems that Anna is not going to be able to avoid men, but it also means she is going to have to face the past that she has also been avoiding.
Sophie, Anna's neighbour, colleague and closest friend is frustrated with being a mum and a wife and no one is treating her as Sophie. Pregnant with her third and dealing with all sorts of problems, Sophie makes some radical choices and tries to show how much she does.
I was unsure of where this story could go and whether it would take the all too familiar path and whilst you could say on the surface it does. Bella Osborne makes her characters face their fears. She handles the sensitive issues with tact and confidence and you feel time and thought has gone into the portrayal and how the characters and ultimately the readers will react.
This is a really strong book with characters who are relatable, humourous and who you can not just sympathises but also empathise with.
A story of the strength of friendship and how no matter how wild life gets - your friend will be the flower you always rely on to keep blooming.
I’ve read one or two Bella Osborne books before and she’s a fairly decent chick lit writer. My expectations of this were that it would be a fairly average story however it surpassed my expectations. Anna is a lovely character with a complex background, her story starts with her splitting with her fiancé however we establish over the story this is nowhere near the most devastating event in her life. Then there’s her friend, colleague and neighbour Sophie, pregnant with her third child and struggling, she is extremely relatable and also adds a lot of humour to the story. There is a degree of predictability that comes with the genre in honesty and I worked out some of the plot part way though but overall it’s a very enjoyable read.
I have enjoyed all of Bella Osborne’s books and A Walk in Wildflower Park is another that doesn’t disappoint.
When Anna is dumped by fiance Liam, she decides to take time off from relationships and concentrate on herself. On the other hand, Sophie is a mum of two with another one on the way. Their lives couldn’t be more different, but they are there for each other in every way.
A fun book with great characters, A Walk in Wildflower Park is story of love and friendship. With an unexpected twist towards the end, it makes for a lighthearted, entertaining, and enjoyable read.
Thanks Netgalley, Publisher and the Author, love this series, really like this authors style of writing and this was just another great read, great storyline and great characters.
It took me a few pages to get into this book but I am really glad it worked. Beautifully written and a story with so many twists and turns. You think you know what is going to happen and then something else comes along and turns the story in a different direction. I am not going to give any of the plot away but will say please read this it is another of Bella Osborne's great reads.
I loved this book and was hooked from the offset, I connected with the character Sophie and was keen to see the pathway her story would take. I was almost late for work one morning when I struggled to put the book down. Bella Osbourne has created another place where I'd like to live.
I was surprised at how funny I found this book. It made me laugh and feel all warm inside as I read the friendship between Anna and Sophie. It is the perfect book at read on a girls holiday and I would recommend reading it on the beach with your friends! I'll be suggesting it to one of our bookclubs in the library that love contemporary romance and friendship.
