I LOVED this book! Everything about it is perfection. The banter between James and Elizabeth is funny and their chemistry sizzles. That's one of my favorite things about a Katy Evans book - you can always feel the connection between the characters.
And Katy writes the most devilishly delicious male characters. A little wicked, a whole lot handsome, and cocky as hell.
5 MILLION DOLLAR STORY!! Katy Evans has done it again with the perfect story to keep you turning pages. James is perfection in everyway possible. Lizzy is so strong, beautiful and knows what she wants. These two have so much chemistry they will heat your Kindle up. If you love great writing and perfect characters, here you go.
This one was really fun. Jimmy was all kinds of hot and unrefined in the very best possible way. Lizzy was trying to be so perfect she forgot to be herself. I loved their banter, their chemistry and also the way they changed each other for the better. Great, easy read.
Million Dollar Devil by Katy Evans is the first book in her new Million Dollar series full of chemistry and steaminess. Lizzy Banks wants to become the CEO for her father’s company. She needs to find the next face for the company and never expected it to be as difficult as it has become. Then she meets James Rowan. James is a social media celebrity who gets paid for the stunts he performs.
James and Lizzy have chemistry right from the start, but since James will be working for her, she wants to keep things professional. While she works to make him into what they need, she can’t deny how the man he is intrigues her. Lizzy is driven and strong. James is caring and strong and has no issues showing Lizzy how he feels. Million Dollar Devil by Katy Evans was steamy and witty.
Happy reading!
Million Dollar Devil is the first book in the Million Dollar series and the first book I have read by this author. It was very well written and engaged me from the start however I was really put off by both Lizzy and James to some degree. She let daddy run her life and James let Lizzy treat him like he wasn't worth the dirt on her fancy shoes. The ending seemed a bit rushed and a bit of a let-down.
Despite all that however as I said, it did engage me from the start and I finished it pretty easily. I will certainly be on the look-out for the next book in the series.
Katy Evans has done it again with a unique and sexy story about a million dollar contract.
All Lizzie wants to for her father to take her seriously enough to take over the company when he retires. She's never been what her father wanted, but she's determined to show him that she can be what he needs. When she's asked to find the new face for the next line of suits, Lizzie didn't realize how difficult it would be to find the perfect someone. Until she happens upon a seedy bar and sees him; Jimmy Rowan. The man who will do anything for a bet. One look at him and Lizzie knows she's found her perfect guy in all senses of the word. Jimmy has had a difficult time ever since his family died. Now it's just him and his brother trying to make ends meet by posting crazy daredevil bets on YouTube. When Lizzie offers him one million dollars to become her model he's all in, especially for the chance to get to know Lizzie better.
I enjoyed this story a whole bunch. I liked how Lizzie struggled with who she was expected to be and with who she wanted to be. I enjoyed her back-and-forth with Jimmy and how he always kept her on her toes. Jimmy was a fun character. I liked how he wasn't really doing the favor to Lizzie for money, but for her. It was majorly fun.
I did have some issues with this story although I can't fully pinpoint what I didn't like. I guess it was the world Lizzie lived in or maybe the unnecessary drama? I'm not entirely sure. I just know something about this story stopped me from loving it.
The sexy scenes were fun and I liked how not everything wasn't cut and dry and easy. The characters needed to be knocked down a couple of times before they understood what was important. Overall, a decent read. I had no trouble staying in the story.
Lizzy is the heir to her family’s fortune but what she really wants is to prove to her demanding father that she is worthy and wants to succeed on her own merits. When she is tasked with finding the ideal man to showcase their new fashion line, she didn’t think it would be so difficult or that she would meet him in a bar.
Jimmy is a popular YouTube celebrity who not has the looks but has the personality to be the perfect spokesman. For a million dollars he is willing to let Lizzy shape and mold him into the perfect image that she wants. The only stipulation is that their relationship is business only but with these two opposites that shouldn’t be a problem, right?
Witty banter, hot chemistry and a hero that is so much more than he appears will keep you entertained in this fun and flirty romance.
4.5 Stars!
Elizabeth Banks is a 25 yr. old socialite from Atlanta's Midtown area who grew up in a world surrounded by men, and is now trying to thrive in a company that caters mostly to men. She's a rich heiress to the Banks LTD fortune, and as the only daughter of Harold Banks, she's always striving to get her father's acceptance and approval. She wants to impress him and prove her worth, so when she's given the task of finding the face for the launch of their new men's line, failure is not an option, and she plans to deliver. The only issue is she can't find the perfect man, so she decides to create one when she stumbles upon the delicious Jimmy Rowan. He's a stunt guy on YouTube who exudes raw sensuality, and will do anything for a dare. He's a little rough around the edges, but she still believes he could be the solution to all her problems. He becomes her newest project as she works to transform this daredevil beast into a suave, sophisticated, debonair model.
He may be a diamond in the rough, but when she's finished with him, every woman in the city will want to be on his arm. Unfortunately even Lizzy isn't immune to his charms, and has to control her attraction to him. He has become completely irresistible, and makes her feel alive and happy. She can be herself with him, and he continually amazes her in so many ways. They come from different worlds, but nothing else seems to matter when they touch. Can Lizzy keep things professional and avoid falling for James, or is she already in over her head?
Million Dollar Devil is an all new contemporary romance by Katy Evans where opposites attract and sparks fly. It's a fun, flirty, romantic comedy I really enjoyed.

Elizabeth (Lizzie) Banks is on the hunt for the perfect male model, one that’s set to be the face and body of the up and coming campaign promoting menswear from Banks LTD, her father’s corporation. With the top candidates having refused her offers she starts feeling like she’s at the end of her tether, but stopping off for a drink at a dive bar in the wrong side of town changes things when she lays eyes on the infamous YouTuber James Rowan, he’s well known for performing outrageous stunts for money, he’s a total daredevil a gorgeous one at that. Lizzie’s attraction towards him is instantaneous, not only does she think he’s gorgeous she also sees his potential to be the new up-and-coming face of Banks LTD’s latest clothing line, with a few tweaks here and there Lizzie feels that James is the right man for the job, which in turn will help her when it comes to proving to her father that she’s more than capable of taking over the role of CEO at Banks LTD.
James is intrigued by the beauty he instantly recognises as the heiress of Banks LTD, his intrigue combined with his attraction towards her sees him agreeing to become the clothing lines new model, plus there’s the million dollars which he plans on using to provide a better upbringing for his younger brother he’s guardian of.
The pair are both insanely attracted towards one another and James tries it on with Lizzie every opportunity he gets yet she tells him that there can only be an employer/employee relationship between them however lines are crossed and things change for the pair, now they need to decide if what they have growing between them is worth losing everything they’ve worked for. Can they go back to the way things were before they gave into temptation? Do they even want to? At the end of the day what it all comes down to is, will they risk it all for love?

I'm a big fan of Katy, but this one.... I didn't finished it, too cliché, too slow (practically until 25%).
I guess I'm not in the mood, so I certainly give it another try (as a fan of hers) later...
But even then, I don't think I'll give MDD more than 3 stars, honestly....
I need more depth, I expect more from my favorite Romance authors.
I admit I haven't read a book from Katy Evans since Real and I figured it would be great to check her out again. Sadly, though, I just wasn't thrilled with Million Dollar Devil and it almost felt like a chore to finish. I will say that I did like James and Lizzy and was happy they found their person in the other. But it was the time taken to get there that kept me somewhat bored.
The way James and Lizzy bring out the better in the other as they embark on a quest to make James the new "Banks man' and future supermodel is truly sweet. But it's the lack of detail that made this story another run of the mill opposites attract kind of romance. I wanted more of James and his brother Charlie and more depth to Lizzy and her overbearing father's relationship to fully understand the whys of their actions. There was too much left on the surface as James's transformation from 'sewer rat' to polished businessman comes to a close.
More emotion and more time exploring their inner thoughts may have tightened up the story and made me more invested in their respective journeys. I just felt as if I didn't truly get to know James and Lizzy enough to keep me interested.
Overall it's not a bad book per se, it's just one I wouldn't consider rereading or recommending.at this point.
2.5 stars.
Million Dollar Devil is Cinderfella at its best! He's clearly not from the right side of the tracks and she's an heiress beyond his wildest dreams. They are both sexy but from different worlds. She's up in the clouds and he's literally fighting "in the sewers."
Jimmy isn't the posh polished pricks of her past. He's rugged, good looking, and real. However her needs are sophisticated, regal, and fake. One makeover and a lot of tutelage and James Rowan is born. But at what cost?
I loved the chemistry between James and Elizabeth. I love how they both become someone else. I especially love his latest dare. Every hopeful romantic out there will love Million Dollar Devil!
One word hot. Two words panty melting. Either option works to describe Million Dollar Devil, whichever you choose you get a hot, panty melting read.
Lizzy Banks struggles to meet her fathers expectations. They aren’t just made of money, when you think money, you think Banks. Lizzy’s father has traditional views on what a woman’s roll is as part of a wealthy family. Those views do not involve Lizzy taking over the company. When the opportunity is available to Lizzy to find the face of their new men’s suit range she jumps at the chance to prove her father wrong and show just how capable she is of leading the company into the future. Once small problem, none of the suitable men are willing to act as the face of Banks latest line.
Looking set to fail sends Lizzy on the path to the wrong side of the tracks to James, Jimmy to his mates. A professional stuntman he will do any thing for some cash. Surely he can’t pass up Lizzy’s offer to be the new face of Banks suits. What could possibly go wrong with getting a guy from the wrong side and polishing him up? An incident with wax, and some hot steamy kisses could be on the way.

“You should’ve said what you were up to from the start.” The daredevil’s voice sounds oddly husky as he stretches his arm behind the seat, his gaze falling to my mouth as he cups my nape in his big finders.
He pulls me a little closer. I panic and put on the brakes. “Oh, No..wait. Not that. I have a business proposition for you. Business. But let’s get you cleaned up first.”
He looks at me in confusion, then glances back at my lips with ill-concealed hunger. I lick them. Once. Twice.
“You don’t want this? You seem pretty into me.” He glances pointedly at my nipples, pushing against my shirt.
“I...ah..” I try to cover my chest, and when I hear a slow chuckle, I glance back up. “Could you stop starting at my chest?”
Can I get a James Rowan please!!!!! A handsome rugged dare devil Who does these dares on video for money. And does everything he can to protect and raise his little brother.
Lizzy works for her father and wants anything to get his approval and to prove to him she can take over as CEO when it is time. Being put in charge to find a model to be the Face Of their new ad Campaign. Everything hangs on her finding the perfect guy!!!
When she finds herself in a part of town she never has been before she goes into Tim’s bar. Where she runs into Jimmy! Where they both can’t resist the pull towards each other.
She offers him a lot of money to make him the perfect guy for the Campaign. Which can help so much with his brother and everything but he is way more interested in her than the cash. Failure is not an option for Lizzy. But can she resist his dirty talking alpha ways? Will it all explode in their faces? Book given to me by author on netgalley.
I really enjoyed Million Dollar Devil. I am obsessed with the sexual tension in this book!! Holy cow! James and Elizabeth together was like an explosion waiting to happen. I couldn't get enough of their banter and their blatant attraction for one another. Gah! So hot!
James "Jimmy" Rowan was so deliciously sexy. Unpolished yet charismatic. He made me weak in knees. I absolutely loved his relationship with his brother. It took me a little bit longer to come around on Lizzy. I wish she had a stronger backbone when it came to her father. I did come to like her eventually. Especially after she started building her bond with Jimmy.
I devoured this sexy and flirty read in one sitting. Million Dollar Devil is a prime example of why I keep coming back to Katy Evans's stories.
The title is the perfect description of the sexy and devilish handsome James Rowan.
He is now for me my TOP book boyfriend that Katy Evans has created.
He is sexy, adventurous and full of surprises that make you understand why Elizabeth Banks picked him to be her muse.
The angst and instant connection of these two characters had me well entertained that I could not this book down till I found out if the Million Dollar Devil would be everything Elizabeth wanted and more.
Plenty of steamy and sexy times that will leave you squirming in your seat.
Such a well put together story and all I could picture was James in those suits!
Go get this Must Read book!

It pains me to write this since I have loved all the Katy Evans’ books I’ve read in the past. But, this one didn’t work for me at all. I couldn’t connect with the story from the beginning. And I absolutely hated both main characters, but especially Lizzy. She was just awful. I thought her reasons for everything she put into motion were terribly wrong. Ultimately, I just couldn’t get over these things and could not finish the book.

Can something real happen on lies?
Well let me start by saying I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
Authors Blurb: Heir apparent to her father’s company, Lizzy Banks needs a man. The perfect man. But when the rich “fundbabies” she usually rubs shoulders with prove impossible to hire, she takes a chance on a raw beast of a man salvaged from the wreckage of a bar brawl.
James Rowan earns a modest income as a YouTube daredevil, but he can’t refuse Lizzy’s million dollar deal. As she polishes his rough edges, creating a sophisticated gentleman fit for the highest circles of society, not only does she bring out the perfect man—it’s like she’s making the man of her dreams. How can she resist?
Though Lizzy loves seeing James in his clothes—and out of them—he isn’t the kind of man you bring home to Daddy. Her father’s disapproval and the pressure of the campaign have her eyeing the straight and narrow, but Lizzy’s finding it awfully hard to resist the devil on her shoulder…
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕
What do you do when you need a man? You find one. But he needs a lot of work. This is where Lizzy Banks found herself. Lizzy need to approve to her father that she can handle the family business. Lizzy finds James Rowan for the new men’s lines. Problem is he is hot, but he need some working on to get him ready. James is always looking for a way to make money. So Lizzy has offered James a million dollars if he can help her pull this off. Off the bat you can feel the sparks coming off the page, but this is work. These two keep the back and forth fun and very flirty. This is a great book by Katy Evans. I always enjoy her books.
Ahhh! Katy Evans has given me another alpha to love! Jimmy is irresistible and irreverent. A brawler and a daredevil, he's rough around the edges but has a huge heart. When beleagured heiress Elizabeth stumbles into the bar where Jimmy holds court, she sees a glimpse of the perfect man buried beneath his gruff exterior. And that perfect man is the key to solving all her problems...
This is a wonderfully modern spin on Pygmalion. It's a rags to riches kind of story with a delicious amount of passion and emotion. Liz and Jimmy/James have incredible chemistry. She doesn't stand a chance at keeping their relationship all work/no play. Swoon....
I loved the depth and layers of each character...their life-hardened exteriors concealed hidden vulnerability. I loved getting to know them as the story unfolded, and as they figured out what truly mattered. I'm giving all the stars to the devil and his heiress!
