realistically there is nothing that would normally appeal to me about this book, but having stumbled upon Steve as an author last year and found his books facinating, I felt compelled to read this one.
Once again, Steve manages to weave so many strands of the story together for a totally unpredictable finale, thanks so much, I thoroughly enjoyed this book in only two sittings!

The first novel I've read by Steve Cavanagh and I immediately want to read everything he's written (I do love it when that happens)!
Twisted really does live up to its name. The shocks and twists hit you out of the blue and are so skilfully done that the shock is all the greater. To try and describe the plot in much detail would be to give spoilers, but I was sufficiently gripped to read it in a couple of days. Highly recommended.

Flipping Heck, I thought the first book was good, this is a rollercoaster, well worth the wait, begin to wonder what the inside of Steve cavanagh's head is like, the plot is hectic, well done.

BOOK REVIEW
If you have read previous books by this author then you know what a delicious treat you are in for . After reading Thirteen and The Plea i knew that this book would also be a pleasure to read. The anticipation of what was to come left me rubbing my hands in glee. A stunning standalone novel that showcases what an amazingly creative mind the author has. Who is JT LeBeau ? That is the question. A question asked repeatedly throughout the book, but does it get answered ? You wont be able to or want to put this book down it's just so intoxicating. The plotline is merciless in its quest to answer the question of the true identity of LeBeau. With more twists than a Corkscrew ride, plenty of nail-biting tension and wow did that just happen moments, this book does not disappoint. A great tension building book that was not only truly enjoyable to read it confirms in my mind the author's greatness as a thrilling crime writer. Go out and buy it in all its formats as you will want to read it again and again and again.

Wow, wow what a rollercoaster of a read it has so many twists. You think you know what going to happen next an then you get another twist. This book definitely keeps you on your toes. I will not tell you any of the story as I want you to experience this fast pace book and it twists.

Ok, so I like books with twists, but someone needs to issue a warning on this one, for the twists are aplenty. I should have started reading fuelled by coffee and on high alert.
Instead, I opened it at bedtime and was quite happily reading along, feeling the characters, enjoying the scene setting, loving the backstory ... and then ... WHAM - The first twist hit me right between the eyes (and it's a damn good one too), and there I was wide awake with little hope of settling down till I'd read one ... no two ... no three... chapters more ....
So, here you have it - this one is Twisted by title, Twisted by nature and Twisted throughout ..... I LOVED IT!
My Thoughts
It's difficult to know where to start with Twisted as there are so many ways i could include huge spoilers, so I'm going to be minimalist in this review, so you can go off and experience the twisted mind (do you see what I did there) of Steve Cavanagh for yourself.
The twists throughout were beautifully executed in my opinion and that was a real driver to get the book finished quickly to see the final twist and i just love it when you have that adrenalin pulling you to read on.
Being a crime author myself, I was intrigued by the story being set in the publishing, crime fiction world and it had my synapses clicking all over the place. In places it was tongue in cheek, in others it seemed very realistic about the publishing world and that drew me in too.
The main detective characters were quirky, appealing and human and the others (I'm not going to specify, for sure as fate I'll drop a spoiler) were brilliantly written.
Cavanagh is skilled at taking you by the hand and leading you blindfolded right up the garden path, only to turn you upside down, twirl you round and transport you somewhere else completely - truly masterful technique of setting red herrings that blend so well that it's not until he chooses to reveal them that you realise you've been had.
Twisted is pure edge of the seat, adrenalin, edginess from start to finish.

Twisted
I was in a bit of a reading slump until I picked this little beauty up. I couldn’t put it down, read it in two days. Highly recommended if you enjoy a gripping thriller with twists throughout.

Well, the book certainly lives up to it's title! One roller-coaster of a read with an unique storyline. I'll be reading more by this author.

I enjoyed this book but not as much as Steve Cavanagh's other books. I found the start of it quite long and drawn out - I only started to enjoy it once Maria had been attacked and it started to get interesting. I suppose this long introduction was needed though so that the twist would be a good one. I liked the characters from the police department and found them interesting. I liked all the twists in the book and they kept me reading. I would recommend this book.

Having heard a lot about Thirteen I was excited to have the opportunity to read Twisted - a stand alone book by Steve Cavanagh. I started this book a couple of days ago and finished it this afternoon. Wow...what a rollercoaster of a ride Steve takes us on with this book. I don't want to give too much of the storyline away as the less you know the more you will enjoy the brilliance of this author. This is a very clever story indeed. I don't think I have read another book with so many excellent twists throughout. The book is fast paced, full of drama and would make an excellent movie. I will definitely be adding the Eddie Flynn series of books to my reading list. You have got to read this addictive thriller....you won't be disappointed!
Thank you to Netgalley and Orion Publishing for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Fantastic start to the book the first few pages have me confused and re reading to check my understanding, it throws you immediately into the plot and wow its good. The characters and plot kept me interested and intrigued throughout. I knew the twists were coming, but each time, they surprised me and what twists they were, right to the end. Great book.

A slow start to a great read. It is my first time reading anything by this author and I wasn't disappointed. The ending wasn't what I was expecting. I would definitely recommend reading this and I would like to thank the publishers and netgalley for letting me have the book to review.

Before you read this book I want you to know three things:
1. The police are looking to charge me with murder.
2. No one knows who I am or how I did it.
3. If you think you’ve found me, I’m coming for you next.
I can’t really write anything else without giving too much of the storyline away.
I can tell you that this is a very clever novel with lots of twists all over the place.
Read it to find out how brilliant it is!
Many thanks to Netgalley and Orion Publishing Group for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

What a rollercoaster of a book . Twisted it most definitely is ! A story within a story , of a multimillionaire author whose identity no one knows . What is fact , what is fiction and who is the elusive J.T Lebeau ? My first book from this author and I look forward to reading more . My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my chance to read. 4.5 stars

Twisted is the story of a writer, who goes by the pen name of J T LeBeau. He prefers to remain anonymous to the point even his publisher doesn't know his real name. Only two other people know this man's real identity, one of them is already dead and he's now coming after the other. J T LeBeau is a very dangerous man, but will the authorities work this out in time.
This book is seriously twisted and lives up to its title in every way, at one point in the story I had a real WTF moment and was left totally confused with what I'd just read. Steve Cavanagh has created the perfect thriller in Twisted, the concept is pure genius. I first came across this author when I was recommended to read Thirteen, which I absolutely loved, so I was excited to get into Twisted. This book consumed my mind, even when real life got in the way of picking it up I was constantly thinking about what would happen next and couldn't wait to read more! I won't go into detail about the plot because I feel it will give too much away, you really need to read it and experience the twists for yourself. I highly recommend it.
I'd like to thank Netgalley and Orion for the auto approval and will post my review on Amazon and Goodreads

Twisted by Steve Cavanagh
J.T. LeBeau is one of the world’s most successful thriller writers. You can find his books anywhere; everyone is reading them. LeBeau is known most of all for his genius with the twist. They’re unguessable. But, despite all of the accolades and all of the awards, he never makes public appearances. In fact, nobody knows who he is. Actually, to be accurate, there were a couple of people who knew his identity but they’re dead now. Better, then, not to find out.
Maria is not a happy woman. She thought she’d married the perfect man. They have a beautiful house by the sea and he gives her all the money she needs. But something isn’t right. He’s often away without telling her why. He has a luxury boat and a sports car, while she drives around in a bit of a heap. Maria suspects he’s keeping a very big secret from her. And so too does her lover Darryl. When they discover a bank statement and some other bits and pieces, Maria realises that her husband is LeBeau. It’s about time he shared the wealth. But the hunter is about to become the hunted.
Twisted is a very clever thriller that plays games with the idea of the ‘twist’, something beloved by thriller writers and readers alike. It’s almost like a thriller about a thriller. Steve Cavanagh writes a twisty thriller about the author of twisty thrillers, while demonstrating that sometimes the very worst thing (indeed, often the very last thing) anyone can experience is a killer twist! So, right from the outset, we’re given a barrage of clues, red herrings and false leads. And we’re not the only ones trying to unravel it. Maria isn’t alone either. A lot of people are trying to work it out when, as we’re warned right at the beginning, sometimes it’s best to leave these things alone. If you want to live.
It’s a fun story and it doesn’t let up for a moment – I read it in just one day. The style is reminiscent of the author’s Eddie Flynn legal thrillers (Eddie is amusingly referred to at one point in Twisted). It’s sharp and to the point, it gives us the facts – even if they’re not true – and makes its case. It is, though, in my opinion, rather clinical and at times does feel like an exercise in thriller writing, so much so that characterisation is left undeveloped. This also means that there are some genuinely shocking moments because the shocks are more important than our relationship to the characters. This, of course, is not necessarily a bad thing in a thriller! I was gripped by Twisted more than I was engaged by it but it’s one of those books that, when you get to the end, you sit back and you’re impressed by how we got there. Twisted is certainly twisty and if you’re a fan of twists, then you’ll enjoy this masterclass.

Thirteen

I love Steve Cavanagh's books-especially the Eddie Flynn series. This one for me wasn't as good. I found the plot lines a little too contrived and more of a lesson in how to write a suspense thriller. Nevertheless, a good well-written book. Looking forward to reading more of Steve's books.

Steve Cavanagh is the master of thriller writing, after reading Thirteen I eagerly awaited this book which is a stand-alone and undeniably a one or two sitting read. It's a great title and describes the book admirably as there's certainly lots of twists and turns and the main characters are also twisted, so two for the price of one.

Seriously this author never disappoints. This book has so Many twists and turns the title is perfect I never knew which way it was going and I couldn’t
Put this book down I loved it!

Twisted is such an apt title. This well-written roller coaster of a thriller has so many shocks, reveals and corkscrew twists that its the Nemesis of books.
It took me longer than I thought it would to read this, and that's a testament to the plot and writing; I didn't want to rush. It enabled me to pin point clues that i’ll happily admit perplexed me right up until the penny was dropped.
The movement between the perspectives of a number of characters was interesting to me. Especially considering I trusted very few of them and it added to the mystery, rather than detract.
As the body count racked up, my nail length was almost down to the quick; through a cleverly written, almost-meta, narrative a tense atmosphere is created that will mean so many readers will find this an addictive read.
