# Don’t Tell The Teacher # Netgalley
Wow, OMG what a brilliant read, I couldn’t put it down I was in awe of what was to come next. The twist I definitely didn’t see it coming. The writer of this novel, made such a good job of Tomes mum fooling everyone including the readers. They way it was wrote she was so convincing. Poor Tom and Oliver. I thought things didn’t seem right, a school with bars at the windows, plus padlocked gates. Hmmmmm. This book is damnd going, I suggest you read it. A spine chilling addictive read. I bloody awesome book. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author.

A very clever twisted book, seen through the eyes of Lizzy past and present escaping an abusive marriage, Tom her son is terrified of his dad finding them. He starts a new school where strange things happen and Tom's behaviour changes, he also becomes I'll.
Kate his social worker is relentless in her quest to find out what's happening at the school and to Tom.
A clever ending one I did anticipate as a paediatric nurse I have a lot of knowledge on this although I hoped I was wrong.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book; I was intrigued by the premise of a woman and her young son trying to cope with rebuilding their lives after escaping an abusive home life, only to struggle with more suffering in their new lives.
Many different perspectives are used throughout the novel, providing alternate viewpoints of events.
I found the novel to be an easy, enjoyable read, and generally warmed to the characters. The twist at the end had me doubting my own abilities to judge people accurately!

Literally blown away!! Just when you think nothing can suprise you, I'm absolutely blown away by the twist this book took. I started reading it last night and have not stopped. It's addictive. I don't want to drop any spoilers so I won't go into the story to much except to say if you like a story with an unbelievable twist then this is the book for you. I'm still shocked

Lizzie is a single mother fleeing an abusive relationship. Her and her son Tom move to a new area and a new school. But things start going wrong from the start. But will Lizzie be believed?
I did find this book very slow at first. I even contemplated giving up at one point but I’m so glad I kept going. The end was nothing like I’d expected and beautifully written. High,y recommended

Thank you NetGalley for the advance reader copy of Don't Tell Teacher by Suzy K. Quinn. Young Tom takes ill. What is happening to him? The truth will surprise you. Great read.

I really enjoyed this book; I had no idea of the plot twist coming at the end, it totally took me by surprise. It gave a good portrayal of the difficulties working as a social worker; inadequate funding, but being found culpable if something goes wrong. I look forward to the authors next book.

Totally different ending to what I expected. It's not often a book surprises me, but this one did. A good read, very enjoyable.

Thank you to the author and publisher for the advanced copy of Don't Tell Teacher.
This book hits the ground running and continues at a fast pace.
The characters were intriguing. The young boy did talk in quite an adult way as other reviewers have commented but children who have been through trauma often can.
I loved that I didn't see the ending coming as it did, very cleverly written

Brilliant. It’s not often that a twist gets past me, but this one did and I cursed myself for it too!
Absolutely brilliant. One to reread.

What a great read Don't Tell Teacher was, loved the twist, such an addictive read, can't wait to read more by this author.

Oh yes! Now, this was a good read. Gripping, intense, full of twists and turns. I completely loved it.
I didn’t feel like that for the first third or so, it seemed like a fairly middle of the road ‘girl meets controlling boy’ type of read, but oh gosh this book packs the punches. I just loved the formation of plot, the development of characters and the way in which Suzy K Quinn weaves all her intricacies in and out of what you’re reading.
Above all, this book really emphasises the strength and persuasiveness of controlling relationships. Quinn’s narrative expertly directs your perception of the situation and what you feel towards each character, much as a controlling partner might do in a relationship ruled by the balance between power and fear. It’s clever, and cunning - conniving almost. I’m absolutely dying to read it all again, and unearth all those little nuances of the book now I know the outcome. This is a fascinating and compelling read, a real trickster of a book.

Brilliant absolutely loved it read if in a day! Only complaint about it is the little boy speaking like an adult. I would recommend it to anyone.

This book was brilliant kept me turning the pages right to the very last page I couldn't put it down really knocked me for six. Great ending.

Read and reviewed in exchange from a free copy from NetGalley. I devoured this domestic thriller in an evening, and really enjoyed it. Quinn wrote incredibly well, keeping the mystery and suspense going. Her characters were well written, although I felt that Tom was written as older than aged 6, and I liked that the plotline differed somewhat from a lot of domestic thrillers. I also felt some of the comments about schools were not that unusual, despite what characters said. That said, those were small gripes which did not take away from how involved I was in this excellent book.

Escaping an abusive relationship Lizzie and her son Tom have moved far away to start a new life away from Toms father, but there's something strange about Toms new school. Bars on the windows and gates are padlocked once children are inside. What is going on?
Don't Tell Teacher kept me on edge throughout the read, tension building until I could barely take anymore. I loved the realistic view of social services and the clever plot. My only issue with this book was the children speaking like adults, Lloyd is supposed to be ten but was impossible to imagine him being younger than his late teens. Same complaint about Tom as well. Overall a 4 out of 5.

Lizzie and her son Tommy have escaped an abusive relationship and starting fresh in a new town. The school that social services have placed Tommy at is like a prison and when Tommy starts to act strangely and become ill the school is to blame.
This book was not what I expected and the ending was brilliant! The only drawback was Tommy is 7 but speaks like an older child then reverts to a younger child but that’s more me being the mum of a 10 year old and probably wishing my son was as eloquent!
