When something happens out of the blue turning upside down your steady life, don’t cry, don,t blame yourself and read the new novel of Rebecca Raisin “Rosie’s Travelling Tea Shop” . You will be aware that you could be brave and strong as much as you propose although you think it is not possible.

A good example of it is our heroine Rosie who left your successful job as a prestigious chef , so as to put ahead of the wheel of her new pink caravan Poppy. When her husband dumps her the day of her 32 birthday, she notices her life has to turn 180 degrees. Therefore, she gets out of her most modern kitchen to run her own travelling Tea Shop (Poppy) and travel around the country selling the best tea you have ever tasted.

This is an uplifting story that will help you to ease your own worries while you enjoy with this totally heartwarming reading.

This was a light, humorous and uplifting read that I really enjoyed!
Rosie is a funny, loveable character with all her quirks and I loved how she not only coped with the shocking changes in her life but grew with them.
From being a busy sous chef in a Michelin starred restaurant in London, who lives a life planned to the extent that even dates of arrival of future children have been decided, Rosie becomes a 'Van Lifer'when betrayed by her husband.
Traveling and cooking comfort food and never staying in one place for long goes against every principle of her previous life where she craved order, to do lists and the comfort of stability and rock solid plans.
Helped by her new friends who are also travelers, she sees the beauty of being spontaneous and enjoying life without worrying about much more than the next day.
Making friends and one very special friend opens her up to the possibility of taking a chance again to fulfill her dreams of a family and love.
It was a kind of fairytale in a modern setting for me. I loved the positivity and also the completely exotic lifestyle of the travelers. If life throws you a curve ball, what better than to shake it up completely and do something you would never have dreamt of before?
There is humour, emotion and delicious food as well.
A totally enjoyable read!
I will definitely look for more books by the author.

I was fascinated by the whole concept of the Van Livers, it sounds quite appealing. At least when you're single and have a job or hobby that lets you earn some money while travelling. It also surprised me how many festivals there are in the UK, it's really one after the other. Unfortunately they don't play a role at all in the book. Rosie only talks about setting up the van at this or that festival now, but that's it. I think there could have been a lot more atmosphere created by elaborating a bit on those. But at least Rebecca Raisin captured the daily life of the ppl in the campers very well, although it is probably very romanticised. I guess in reality it is not so easy to get all necessary permits, have everything so organised like Rosie, produce culinary specials in such a tiny kitchen, get all those customers without doing any marketing or find a best friend the minute you join the camper movement.

Rosie's story is sweat-natured, even though some Things here are also too unrealistic. She was a Chef with a Michelin-star, and has been in the business for many years, but after all this time her salary allowed her to save only a couple of thousand so far? Max has been in the US army for 10 years, yet he repeatedly calls himself a pacifist? And this catfishing business was also quite surprising and the reasons for that not really comprehensible for me.

But it is a nice comfort read, and the idea with the book-themed tea varieties is great!

I loved this book! I want a traveling tea shop too! Such a fun, quirky, sweet story. One of my favorite reads this year!

I loved this book!!! Great story with wonderful characters and a very cute book cover. I actually yelled Noooooo in my head when I flipped the page and the book was over. It needs to be a series. I could definitely read more books about the traveling adventures of Rosie, Aria and Max. This was a great twist on the tea shop/bookstore books. There's still tea, cakes, food and books but they travel. You should never drink and shop because a bright pink camper van with the moniker Poppy might show up on your doorstep. The book had all the right touches. I loved Rosie. Although, she was a little dramatic at times. She went into hysterics with the thought of having to sleep in the woods in a broken down Poppy and being attacked by a pack of wolves or possibly vampires. Max had me at Jason Momoa. He was just so perfect. Pretty much anyone would have been better than Callum. Seriously, on your wife's birthday???!!! Aria made a great friend and I wouldn't mind getting to know her more. Loved when Rosie shouted after Max asking him if he wanted some spotted dick. Of course it made me giggle. Now I want to climb a mountain and meet a mountain pony.

Definitely recommend the book. It was a fun read, full of humor, great friendships, a little bit of romance and of course tea and books. Can't wait to read more books by the author.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from HQ Digital through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Really loved the characters and in all honesty I've been left with a bit of a book hangover.

Sometimes you need some light and easy reading material for lifting mood, and this is one of those books. I enjoyed reading from the start till the end.
It is a Rosie's story about finding herself while she is on a journey around UK in her campervan that she bought while she was drunk after she was left by her cheating husband.
Just perfect book that keeps your attention. I'm looking forward of reading Rebecca Raisin other books

Cosy? CHECK.
Gigglefest? CHECK.
A book perfect for snuggling up with and forgetting the world? CHECK.

Oh what a snuggly, humorous, light-hearted read this is! Rosie's life she once knew is now no more thanks to her husband dipping his fondue stick into another chefs fondue. With an uncertain future ahead of her, the world is now Rosie's oyster and, along with help from her new pal, Poppy, Rosie can start believing that life won't be too bad after all.

I really enjoyed following Rosie's journey from Michelin starred to tea connoisseur. Watching her confidence grow as the storyline progressed was such a joy, even if i did find some of the storyline to be a little unnecessarily padded at times. Even though this story is a heartfelt and light read, there is theme covered throughout the book which has a more of a serious element to it. To be honest, I'm still not too sure on whether it fits in with the overall vibe of the book or whether it was needed, but that aside, the rest of the book was absolutely spot on. Rosie's friendships with Aria and Max were brilliant and had me in hysterics. Such a wonderful balance of colourful characters - they were an absolute pleasure to get to know.

'Rosie's Travelling Teashop' is the creme de la creme when it comes to confidence building and thought-provoking reads. If you're stuck at the crossroads yourself, you might find yourself purchasing a pal like Poppy and embarking on a new journey.

A fun, touching novel which proves that true friendships really exist. Another belter from Rebecca Raisin.

A heart-warming, funny novel about relationships, love, friendship, and new adventures and a pink campervan named Poppy!
Rosie, a Michelin-Starred Sous Chef, married to Callum believes her life is in order and she’s on schedule with plans for children in January 2021. That is until the early hours of her 32nd birthday when she’s tired from a long shift at the restaurant her husband says he wants a chat and Rosie’s well-ordered life comes tumbling down around her. Callum has been having an affair and has packed his bags and is leaving her. Rosie drowns her sorrows with a few glasses of wine and having been told by Callum that she is, “not spontaneous enough”; Rosie makes a huge drunken decision and invests in a campervan, a bright pink one. Rosie decides to go travelling in her new purchase, and calling the campervan Poppy decides to head off on a new adventure, turning ‘Poppy’ into a travelling teashop.
A lovely light read, heart-warming with laugh-out-loud moments. Great characters especially the lovely Rosie who I instantly identified with ensured I was hooked from page one. I was rooting for Rosie and enjoyed reading about her adventures with her travelling pink teashop, campervan Poppy. A wonderful weekend read, which allows you to escape into Rosie’s world. I look forward to reading other Rebecca Raisin’s books in the future.

What an infectious book this was....I smiled from start to finish with sheer joy. Oh to be brave and pack my life into a little pink bubble of hope (called Poppy) and travel the country feeding the masses tea and cake.

I loved everything about this book. The writing was open and warm with a side order of humour. The characters were a joy to behold and lifted the story to create something extremely special. Rosie is now listed in my top character category with her OCD and penchant to plan. I absolutely loved her and she made the story glow. Aria was the perfect side kick with a love of happy endings and a heartbreaking and precious back story to match. Her messy abode would be akin to my way of traveling, with books in every nook and candles lit on just the right side of caution, to make me love her even more. But what's a story without a swoon worthy demi-god? A half story I feel....so let me introduce you to Max - a vegan pacifist with a body to die for. He gave me all the feels and was the perfect leading man.

Rosie and her traveling tea shop is a story that can't be missed. It's a dream of a book that I couldn't put down. So pull up a comfy chair.....pop the kettle on and dive into this heart lifting book, you won't be disappointed.

When Rosie is dumped on her birthday by her cheating husband she hits the wine bottle and on a drunken impulse buys bright pink camper van! Up until this point her life has been totally mapped out with a great job in a Michelin starred restaurant, children expected in a couple of years and a faithful husband! With everything in tatters she sets off in her camper van, that she had called Poppy, and follows the festival trail......... how out of her comfort zone can she be!

A lovely feelgood book, Rosie is a great character who grows with her adventure and the many colourful friends she makes on the way, especially Max.

The story had potential, but was unrealistic and lacking in character development. I would have liked to read more detail about Rosie's travels and less romantic cliches.

I felt an instant affinity with Rosie. She has her issues, but don’t we all *snorts*

*gives you the side-eye*

Don’t even go there with me - we all know my issues have issues...

I can’t imagine the pain and heartbreak Rosie must have felt to realise that her husband, the man she’d made all these plans with (okay, so who knows how much input he actually had *giggles*), was leaving her, and for another woman no less. Rat-bleep-da-bleep!

Spontaneity? I’ll give you spontaneity!

As someone who, on at least a monthly basis, says that she’s jacking it all in to sell up and hit the road in a camper van - I could totally relate to Rosie’s need to escape and start anew. But the more I think about it *taps chin*, a 40-year-old singleton with a mother and three cats in tow, isn’t the most appealing of circumstances in a confined space *snorts*

Sorry, I digress (as usual) ...

Adventure awaits! Well, if Rosie can put on her big girl panties and take a leap of faith that is.
Rosie + Poppy (aka the bright fuchsia pink camper van) = A voyage of discovery.

Following the festival route, Rosie meets a host of wonderful and colourful, eclectic characters who change her life. Who knew that the worst of times could turn into the best of times!

Friendships are cemented and a slow-burn romance with a Jason Momoa lookalike ensues. Yup, you read that correctly *winks* I must confess, I’d have read this book just for Max. I know, I know - I have no shame *hangs head*

I laughed so much reading this book. Especially at Rosie’s propensity for vocalising her inner thoughts. *sings* Awkward, but very funny.

There were a few standout moments in Rosie’s story that really got to me emotionally. Yeah, I know I’m a sap *blushes*

One such moment which caused a huge old lump in my throat (maybe it’s because of the everything that’s happened to me this last year) was when Rosie has an epiphany:

“The real gift, as I’m coming to learn, is the people in your life, the friendships you nurture, the people you give your heart to...”

Books take you on a journey, and if you come away with the warm and fuzzies then you can’t ask for more than that.

RTTS is a delightful, feel-good romcom which will leave you with a smile on your face.

As soon as I saw this cover and then read the synopsis I knew I needed to read this book. After being dumped by her husband on her birthday, Rosie makes the best-drunk purchase ever… well in my opinion she did. A bright pink camper van!!! Awesome!!! It made me want to break out the wine and see what I could drunk purchase, though I’d probably end up with a packet of out of date cereal!

I have to say this book was absolutely brilliant. Rosie is a driven career woman with her life planned out. She does have a bit of an O.C.D thing going on with her planning, routines, cleanliness, order and everything being in its place. Not a bad thing at all, but it leaves little flexibility in her hectic scheduled up to the eyeballs life.

The arrival of the pink camper van was something that completely went against the grain, it makes her stop in her tracks and think about her life, what she wants and, what she wants others to see in her.

The author took me on a road trip of festivals, with mouth-watering food, drinks, and fabulous company. Rosie is having to adapt to living day to day, going with the flow, rather than the planned out one she was originally aiming for.

With her career in catering, the obvious choice for Rosie’s van is… yep, a Travelling Tea Shop. Specially hand-blended teas and an assortment of foods that are food for the soul rather than the high-end cuisine she has left behind her.

Along the way she finds the perfect traveling companion, they make an amazing combination with Aria, a contrast in many ways to Rosie, but this combination both in personalities and also in how the vans compliment each other is great. I also want to mention Max, the author's description of him…mmmmmmm… there are a few other characters that add their part to this story and help keep the story flowing as the travelers take the vans on tour.

In case you had not realised, I loved this book a huge amount. For me, it was just the perfect book for lifting the spirits and it was so easy to forget about the world while I sat and read it in an afternoon. I would love to see a follow up for this book.

Ideal for readers who are after a light, feel-good book that has a really enjoyable story and it is one I would Absolutely Recommend.

I enjoyed reading about the adventures of Rosie and Poppy! It was exactly what I expected: light escapism, a good holiday read. It made me want to buy a campervan and travel the country though :)

Rosie works very hard as a chef, spending her days plating microherbs just so, it seems. Then she is dealt a devastating blow and takes to the countryside in a hot pink van called Poppy. She meets a girl called Aria and they become firm friends, joining others for whom the nomadic lifestyle beckons.

Other than doing a bit of camping with my parents when I was a teenager and staying in plenty of caravan parks during my lifetime, I have never given all that much thought about what permanent nomads must do to make life work for them whilst on the road, and the unique requirements of living your life in a home on wheels.

The Rosie at the end of the book was a different girl to the Rosie at the beginning, and that can only be a good thing. The bits of romance in the book are fun although Ollie is a bit of a worry!! I kind of wish that the book could have gone on a bit longer though, I wanted to know what happens next, lol.

4.5 stars from me.

Thank you to NetGalley, TBC and HQ Digital.

Sous chef and perfectionist Rosie’s world is rocked when her cheating husband announces (on her birthday) that their marriage is over. He accuses her of lacking spontaneity, so her drunken reaction is to blow her life savings on a vintage pink van (RV/food truck). Eager to leave the pressure and gossip behind, she joins the Van Lifers forum, meets Oliver who suggests she follow the festival circuit, and hits the road. As she travels the UK, dispensing her tea blends and comfort food, she finds friendship with Aria (a fellow wounded soul), a potential love interest in Max, and a colorful cast of characters who sell everything from dreamcatchers to porcelain teapots. The journey is more than miles, though – it’s also about self-discovery and self-esteem building, forgiving herself, and letting go of her OCD tendencies so she can experience the joy she’s been missing. The question is whether she’ll be able to maintain this nomadic lifestyle or if she’ll go back to her well-laid plan for marriage, home, and kids.

This story starts strong with all of the familiar chick lit elements of broken marriages and cheating, life overhaul, and new romance but devolves into amateurish writing. Unfortunately, Rosie’s naivete concerning her online relationship with Oliver, combined with her willingness to believe the nasty and unsubstantiated rumors about Max, lead to a pseudo-love triangle that fails to engage the reader. Rosie treats Max shabbily, even within the bounds of platonic friendship, so the ending seems rushed and rather improbable. The entire premise of being able to set up shop and sell food at major festivals without proper permits and expensive reservations is implausible as well. Fans of Jenny Colgan and Phillipa Ashley might enjoy the book, but it suffers in comparison. 2.5 stars.
