Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.
This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience

A good ending to a decent series, I like the character of Jane Hawk and all that she represented.
The setting was claustrophobic, the antagonists always nearly one move ahead but Hawk is dogged in her pursuit of the truth and nobody is a match for her.
A bit far fetched, and not my favourite Koontz book but worth a read!

I hadn't realized this was part of a series of books, and I think I would have benefitted from having read the previous titles, however all in all this was a good read. I would recommend.

I am a big fan of the author and The Night Window by Dean Koontz was just brilliant from start to finish. I was gripped and could not put it down. This is book five of the Jane Hawk series. In this book it brings Jane Hawk's who is a one-woman war to an explosive climax, as the rogue FBI agent wages her final battle against a terrifying conspiracy, for vengeance, for justice, and for humanity's freedom. This book is full of great twists and turns my head was spinning! especially as I had not read the other four books in this Jane Hawks series but will be purchasing these to read.
Big thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins for an ARC. for a review.

This is the first time i have read anything by this author (where have i been?!) and it won't be the last. Even though this title is the last in the Jane Hawk series I was able to pick up the tory fairly quickly. While i probably will go back and read the other it works perfectly well as a stand alone book. I can only stand in awe at the imagination of Koontz. So so good and an entirely plausible concept in 2020! Jane Hawk is a well rounded character and the plot raced by. Loved it and I am sure fans will too.

I wasn’t sure about this book at first as it starts a bit slowly but then builds to draw you in.
I like the characters and that premise makes it stand out, some bits were truly jaw dropping.
Read if you like pretty brutal thrillers.

Lengthy but intersting.
FBI agent Jane Hawk is living in a world of danger. Her battle to expose a global conspiracy risks her own life and that of her five-year-old son, whom she has sent into hiding.
Jane is meticulously gathering evidence to bring a terrifying organization to justice – one that threatens humanity with technologically imposed slavery.
Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK Harper Fiction for giving me an advance copy.

It’s all a conspiracy. The Techno Arcadians Group have developed new technologies to inject people and take control of all their thoughts and actions. This story starts with a hunt of one of the artists on the list who the group wish to remove. The hunt will not go as expected for Hollister. Rogue FBI Jane Hawk is one of the list on the run. False lies will be used to silence her and you will follow her plight though several books, this been the final instalment. I felt you could enjoy this book without reading the previous stories. I was given an ARC of this book by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

A larger book than it’s 433 pages, The Night Window covers a lot of ground and is a thoroughly enjoyable romp.
Dean Koontz is a masterful storyteller, his use of bite size chapters to enable the reader to keep track of multiple characters while building suspense is genius. But his absolute superpower is his creation of off-the-wall, some might say, odd (oh yes, I have just referenced Odd Thomas in a Jane Hawk review) characters, my favourite in this series is probably Cornell Jasperson. In my head Dean Koontz is The Master of Quirk and I love him for it.
I’ve been reading Dean Koontz for more years than I care to remember, over this time he has shifted and changed as an author, but some things have never budged - he’s a stickler for detail, he weaves wonderful characters, is always on point, packs a punch and there is always, always quirk.
Kudos to you Koontz, you keep writing them and I will definitely keep reading them. Highly recommended.
Thanks to Netgalley for providing an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Well the old adage says, leave the best to last and it probably sums this book up nicely. The concluding book in the 5-part series (although if reading from the start, bypass book 4 and go straight to 5!) and what a way to go out! I don't think in a million years I expected the book to end as it did, it was a detour you didn't really see coming not think of how the book/series would end.
Its been a great read along the way (bar book 4) but equally I am glad that was the last instalment.

Wow! The final book in theu series and it did not disappoint.
This book is best not read as a standalone novel but believe me, if you have not read any of the others it is definitely worth starting with the first book and working your way through the series. You won't regret it.
Jane Hawk is a strong, principled protangonist who throughout the series has been fighting for her son, the people she cares for and for freedom of choice. As with the other books there are loads of twists and turns, suspense like on Dean Koontz can deliver, woven into an imaginative colourful and frighteningly believable plot.

Jane Hawk is a fascinating heroine! Although I haven't read all the novels where she is the main character, I have read a couple before, so from the start, when she almost gets trapped by the government officials who are trying to capture her and take her out of circulation I was well into this story. Jane is on an almost one person mission to track down the Arcadians, a sinister group of people who ultimately want world dominance. Luckily she meets a good FBI agent and other like minded people who are able to help.
This is an exciting, fast paced novel. Full of action and intrigue it takes the reader on a roller coaster ride. It's supposedly the last in the Jane Hawk series - but is it?

A satisfying finale (or is it not the finale?) to the series which sees Jane work her way through number of risky scenarios to achieve her goal. I particularly enjoyed the multiple character viewpoint threaded through this novel which kept the storyline fresh and me wanting more at the end of each chapter.

Fast-paced and hard to put down, a real page turner. I engaged with the characters and by the end felt that I knew them personally.Well written and engaging.

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. I have not read anything from this author for ages and ages and always used to find his books and style of writing strange. I read this book but not sure I liked it.

The Jane Hawk series by Dean Koontz has been an absolutely thrilling ride. All the pacing and characterization you expect from this master storyteller in a series that you don't want to end. Jane Hawk's saga climaxes in a tale that brings the Arcadian empire to its knees and is powered by Koontz's majestic writing. A real joy and a book to savour.

I really enjoyed this book, though I don't think it is the best in the Jane Hawk series (for me that is book 4). It ties up the series nicely, as I couldn't see how it was going to have a satisfactory conclusion, but it does, including a twist I did not see coming. While I was reading it, Elon Musk's latest developments for neural research was announced; this was scarily too much like the book!! I think readers need to read the whole series in order to get the most out of the books.

This series has been fantastic. The books are such page-turners and, as well as being thrillers, they've got well-rounded, interesting characters and fascinating technological aspects. I highly recommend!

This is the last book in the Jane Hawk series and what a finale it turned out to be. It’s a very fast moving storyline just like all the series has been and I found it hard to put down. The nanotechnology which the book is all about is a scary thought that could become all too real in the future. It certainly keeps you gripped. I would recommend you read the series in order as it will make more sense. I would recommend this book and series.

A great finale to this very modern thriller. I really enjoyed the whole series. The storyline was simple but unique and the characters were a fantastic blend of good, bad and totally unknown.
Definitely worth reading!
Thanks for letting me review this book
