Ok, I accidentally requested this novel, just because I saw one of my favorite author’s names on the tagline, without really looking into the rest of the info about the book, and though I don’t usually like to jump into a series this late in the game, I read it anyway. I have not read any of the others stories in this series, written under Katie’s pseudonym Savannah Stuart, but book 8 was good all on its own anyway. After all I have never read anything by Katie Reus that I didn’t enjoy so why would her writing with a different name on the front be any different? Sapphire has had some seriously bad luck with men in the past and decided a long time ago that short affair and flings were all she would ever get out of life, so despite her attraction to Eli, she refuses to let him into her heart any more than he already has. When her best friend calls her, beginning for help escaping a dangerous situation, she suddenly finds herself forced to deal with Eli has her partner on the mission, and resisting him becomes increasingly impossible. Eli knows that Sapphire is his destined mate, if he can just get the stubborn wolf to stop evading him long enough to show her the truth of it, thankfully no one can be sneakier than a cat on a mission. Together they work to defeat their enemies and Eli works to show his wolf that she owns his heart and he is willing to do whatever is needed to prove to her that he is worthy of her love. Eli was a sexy cat for sure (sorry couldn’t resist the pun) and I loved seeing him in action as he fought to protect Sapphire and her friends and to earn her love. I enjoyed the brief chance to get to know him and would have loved seeing more of him. Sapphire was a sweet woman with a inner core of strength to be sure, but she has some seriously silly ideas of why she had to keep her heart protected from Eli. Once she opened herself up and let him have a chance I liked her even more and was rooting for them to have a true chance to be mates for life. I am definitely interested in going back and reading the rest of this series and will add it to my already massive TBR, but I have a feeling that fans of the series will enjoy seeing characters they have watched fall in love in the past and getting glimpses of their lives. I will also read anything that comes in this series in the future too. Just more Katie magic to go on my ever expanding Reus bookshelf.
Sapphire is cursed. Every relationship she’s ever been in has ended poorly. So she’s sworn off relationships and is happy with her life. Until Eli comes along—a one-night stand that turned into more. When things got too intense, she did what she always did. She ran. This time Eli isn’t letting Sapphire go without a fight. When her friend needs help escaping an abusive situation, he steps up, no questions asked. It doesn’t matter that Sapphire won’t tell him why she’s holding back from him. He’s a jaguar shifter and cats are very patient—he’ll wait for his mate to come around. But before he can claim her once and for all, they’ll have to deal with an angry bunch of shifters who are out for blood.
This was a great novella by an author who is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I loved both Sapphire and Eli and the adventure they go on together. I can’t wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend.

Cute novella.
Sapphire, a wolf shifter, is cursed. Every relationship she's ever been in has ended badly, so she refuses to date. She has become commitment phobic. Only resorting to one-night stands, that's until she meets a sexy jaguar shifter, Eli. She meets him in a grocery store of all places and gives him a fake name, than she sneaks out 2 nights later when things get too intense.
Eli is a tracker, he spends the next month tracking down the mystery girl from the hotel that he knows is his mate. He doesn't know why she ran, but he intends to find out. When he shows up at her pack and offers to help her friends escape an abusive situation, Sapphire has to spend 24 hours in a car with him. He intends to break down her walls doing so.
I am a huge paranormal book lover. I love vampires, werewolves and shapeshifters so this book was at the top of my reading list this month.
First off this is the 8th book in a series however it reads as if the first. I was able to follow along easily. Second I absolutely loved Sapphire a strong, independent female. I like that she could stand on her own.
I like Eli because he let Sapphire be herself without trying to tone her down. Together they were a great pair. this love story was hot, steamy and full of action. It definitely ht all my buttons for a paranormal story.
I also liked it was a quick read and was able to enjoy it on a Sunday after by the pool.
I always enjoy Katie Reus’s stories, this one was a very quick read but nonetheless very enjoyable, it had it all action, romance and shifters, what more could I ask for?
Sapphire doesn't "do" relationships. Her previous attempts at relationships have all fallen flat. She ends up having a one night stand with Eli and doesn't expect to see him again. Eli jumps in to help Sapphire who goes to help her friend's daughter escape from an abusive situation.
A good read for a novella. The interplay between Sapphire and Eli is good. He patiently tears down her walls. Her reticence to getting into a relationship is a bit silly and she has blown it out of proportion mentally.
The drama and action surrounding saving the girl from an abusive relationship.
Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Wolf finds her Jaguar. Every friend needs help with running away from her pack and the only one who is free to help her at the moment is Eli, her one night stand that she runs away. So Eli and Every end up on a road trip. Eli is determined to never let go Every again because he knows she is his mate. Helping her friend doesn't go smoothly and their lives end up endangered. It is a quick hot read between two interesting and well-developed character.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
Such a good story. This is the first book in the Crescent Moon series I have read, and I will definitely read the rest of the series. This is a quick read with lots of excitement and passion. I really like the premise of Sapphire needs to help her friend and Eli needs to help Sapphire. The characters are well developed, and the plot is interesting.
WOW! I so enjoyed Jaguar's Mate by Ms. Reus. She keeps getting better and better. Solid shifter romance and excellent writing.
This is book 8 in the Crescent Moon series and it features Eli and Sapphire. Eli knows exactly who she is to him. This book is about Sapphire’s journey regarding Eli and her “curse.” It was a little difficult deciding who were the main characters. Was it Eli and Sapphire or was it Luna and Leslie? Regardless, the story was a fantastic, sizzling, action-packed shifter romance. I just wish it were longer.
3 1/2 stars
Jaguars Mate was a cute little story, about a Sapphire a wolf shifter and Eli a jaguar shifter on a road trip to save a friend. I liked both Sapphire and Eli, but I have never read any other book in the series before and I think I would of felt more connected to the characters if I had.
The newest Crescent Moon series romance is an exciting and heated read that sets readers’ senses as well as imaginations aflame. Sapphire and Eli are bold and appealing characters that readers can easily connect to while become completely taken in by their story. The chemistry sizzles with volcanic heat and the relationship between them is quite rocky as their passion increases and sends Sapphire running from it. This makes a very entertaining courtship since Eli isn’t letting go of Sapphire without a fight with a fast pace plot that is full of excitement and danger with Sapphire and Eli stepping in to help Sapphire’s friend escape an abusive situation which forces the couple to spend time together. Readers won’t be able to find a dull moment anywhere in this delightfully entertaining read.
This is a decent little paranormal I enjoyed but it felt like it was missing something. I liked both Sapphire and Eli but I never felt I knew them well.
They were sexy together and had some smoldering chemistry which I liked. On the other hand, the story lacked action until the end. When I finished I wanted more—more action, more character depth, and more relationship depth. Still, I enjoyed it and it was a nice way to spend a lazy afternoon.

I haven't read anything by this author before - but I did enjoy this and am looking forward to reading more by her. I have been on a shifter kick in my reading and this fit the bill nicely.
Book 8 in the Crescent Moon Series, Jaguar's Mate, brings us fated mates Eli and Sapphire’s story. A well-paced novella with strong, dynamic characters and an engaging story. This is one I will be recommending to other readers
This was a little steamy break, perfect for a Sunday afternoon with a glass of wine. Katie Reus's writing is always sparking and exciting and this doesn't disappoint. Even if you aren't into supernatural things that go bump in the night, these characters are still sexy enough and endearing enough to hold your attention for an hour or two of escape. Recommend!
Sapphire and Eli had a one-night stand. Well, two-night stand that ended with her slipping out while he was still asleep. She also gave him a false name. She didn't do relationships so she figured she get out while she could and never see him again.
Eli couldn't stop thinking about Sapphire and was determined to find her. When he did, he made up his mind that she wouldn't get away again because he was pretty sure she was his mate.
Sapphire and Eli agree to work together to help Sapphire's friend and her daughter out of a bad situation. They succeed in getting the friend and daughter to safety, but Sapphire and Eli are attacked on their way back to Sapphire's pack as revenge. Will they survive the attack and give Eli the chance to convince Sapphire that she's the only one for him.
Paranormal Romance, particularly Shifter Romance is my first love in reading materials, I will freely admit to that. I happen to love a series that is longer, where we’ll meet up with old book friends occasionally and has an overall appeal that draws me back into that world time and time again. The Crescent Moon series by Savannah Stuart and Katie Reus does all of that and so much more.
JAGUAR’S MATE is a quick story with fast-paced action, two likable main characters, some sexy times, definitely danger to be faced, and a romance that blends it all together seamlessly. Like any of the stories in the Crescent Moon series, this one could be read on its own but I’d still recommend the entire series for an in-depth reading experience.
Sapphire may believe that she’s cursed to never find her mate, but in reality, she’s not looking in the right places – like right in front of her with that one night stand that was so intense that she ran away from him and her feelings. Sapphire needs the comfort, the closeness of her wolf pack and believes she can never find happiness away from them. What she’s not seeing or understanding is that with her mate she will have everything she’s ever needed, but her fears keep her on the overly cautious, disbelieving side when it comes to the man who claims to be her mate.
Eli knows full well that Sapphire is his mate. And this time she’s not running away from him or their fate. Helping her come to the rescue of a friend who is facing an abusive relationship will keep them close, hopefully, long enough for Eli to convince her that they do belong together.
I enjoyed stepping back into the Crescent Moon world once again. Eli and Sapphire are quite the couple with stubborn streaks a mile wide, and they work so well together that the wait for Sapphire to realize just what Eli truly is to her is well worth it. If you’re in the mood for a fast-paced, engaging, interesting Shifter Romance then JAGUAR’S MATE is a book you should have on your need to read list. I had a blast and I believe you will, too.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
JAGUAR'S MATE is action packed with danger and mayhem, but it is also a fun read. There is a lot of emotional depth to this book.
This action-packed, romance rocking, paranormal read will have you up late, not even realizing that time has passed. JAGUAR'S MATE won't let you put it down, and when you hit the end, you want to start over again.
