This was the first book that I read by Karis Walsh. The book was very descriptive about a country setting in Oregon where Kassidy grows lavender and where Paige is dispatched by Kassidy's father to shut down her business. Although the book was descriptive it seemed slow to me and lacked essential dialogue between the two main characters. I enjoyed learning about lavender farming and all of the uses for this product. However, this slow burn romance just did not contain enough character interaction for me. There is also only one quick against- the-wall love scene toward the very end of the book.

3/5
Paige Leighton is a corporate consultant whose only interest is to make her client's business profitable. She has not time for sentimentalities in her business or in he personal life. When she takes a side job offered by one of her clients, the last thing she could imagined was that she would fall for a woman whose live revolves around her lavender farm.
Kassidy Drake lives surrounded by her beloved rows of lavender but she might be about to lose her farm unless she makes some changes. When she meets Paige there is an instant attraction and slow burn romance starts to develop.
This book was too slow for me, personally. There wasn't enough dialogue and your spend most of the pages in their minds. I would have like a bit more interaction.
Nonetheless, it is a cute slow burn romance for anyone that like those.

I enjoyed learning more about the world of lavender farming - the author had clearly done her research into the professions of her leading characters. Despite being set in a work setting, the long descriptions of the various aspects of lavender farming and running an indie business in a small town didn't bore me at all. The writing was engaging and I enjoyed the slow burn attraction between the two leads. However, the ending felt rushed and one making up scene in particular towards the end detracted from the wonderful romance the author had managed to build.
Love on Lavender Lane is a lovely romance, the type of story I expect and look forward to when I see the author is Karis Walsh. Ms. Walsh seems to excel at stories that are character and relationship driven rather than action-adventure tales. This book is a good example of her style.
With Paige Leighton and Kassidy Drake, Walsh has created two vibrant and realistic characters. The two characters have an instant attraction to each other that is evident throughout the story. The setting is nothing short of spectacular, and Walsh’s descriptions make you feel like you are right there. She doesn’t describe the setting, she makes you live it. I’ve always loved the settings of her books.
This is a very slow-burn romance. Most of the book has the two flirting and trading jokes with each other. I saw a good deal of romance, but not a lot of passion except in the characters thoughts. The one sex scene seemed rushed and happened rather late in the story. I would have loved to see the two come together a bit sooner with maybe one or two of the sex scenes the two characters fantasized about.
Love on Lavender Lane is a flirty, humorous, sweet, relationship-driven romance that will make you smile, chuckle, and say “aww” as you read. If you like a good slow-burn romance, you will like this one. If you love Karis Walsh romances, you should love this one.

This book has all the ingredients for a fine romance. There is a very picturesque setting, a cute dog, fun dialogue and some annoying siblings. And it almost works well, but somehow it just lacks a spark. I’m not sure why, or what would have improved it, maybe more strife from the twins would have added a bit of zip. Close to being very good.
Paige Leighton, the business consultant. Good at what she does. I really liked her disposition and her dog Dante. Kassidy Drake, the lavender farmer. Talented, shy, and recovering from an unhealthy relationship. While reading, I thought about finding your passion and the role of family and friends. This read was a slow burn with much flirtation and reflective self-talk by Paige and Kassidy. In general, an enjoyable story of discovery of self and finding happiness.
A slow burn romance set in a small farming district. Kassidy runs a lavender farm and Paige is a business consultant who is haired by Kassidy's estranged father to "help" her rescue the farm or better yet quit the farm. Paige and Kassidy slowly get to know each other after a false start. It's a comfy read that includes good friends, flowers, food, and pets.
I am a huge fan of karis Walsh her books are always excellent. I was pulled in by the attraction right from the beginning. I felt like I would visit this lavender farm and enjoy all the smells and food. What more could you want a little romance, lavender flowers and food makes for a wonderful night.
Paige is a business consultant who is successful yet has no passion for the work that she's doing , she walls herself up but yet is very open to help people do better in their business. She doesn't let people get close to her and is more a one night stand kind of person. Kassidy is the owner of a lavender farm which she loves . She maintains a distance from people, since at the age of seven she was the caretaker of her twin siblings with no father around and a very depressed mother. Before they meet both women see each other at a potluck dinner and are very attracted to one another until Paige made a thoughtless comment about Kassidy 's lavender chicken.
When the two women meet for the second time and are introduced to one another the second meeting is not much more successful than the first one. Paige's dog tore up some of the lavender plants and then Kassidy is very concerned to let Paige into her farm and to help her because Kassidy's father has paid Paige to help her. Of course Kassidy thinks that her father wants her to go bankrupt and get rid of the farm.
The two slowly form a working relationship but not much more because Kassidy is too full of pain from her childhood to let anyone get close to her.
Will these two ever get over there past pains and let a possible meaningful relationship develop or will they maintain a business relationship until Paige's contract is complete? This is a very pleasant read and the author does a great job with her character development as well as plot development leaving the reader to question what really is going to happen with these two characters until the very end.
3 Stars. This book was not as good as I wanted. It is about Paige, a consultant who helps struggling businesses get back on their feet by restructuring them. She has a client who asks Paige to help his daughter, who owns a farm. His daughter, Kassidy Drake, owns a lavender farm who does not go outside her comfort zone. Kassidy is comfortable with her farm and how it currently runs. Kassidy first meets Paige at a party where Paige insults her chicken dish. Paige then realizes she is working for Kassidy and her farm and is embarrassed. They both feel a connection to each other and as they are both recently single, they are cautious to be in a new relationship.
This book was okay, it had a lot of tension, but it was not good tension, in my opinion. The two main characters denies their feelings most of the book, and that made it slightly interesting. I don't know was it was, maybe the writing or just the storyline, but it was not as interesting as the description seemed better than the actual book. I do not recommend.
A very tepid love story. I enjoyed all the information about the Lavedar farm. And I found all the business proposals very interesting. The dialogue was cute and humorous but I felt the romance lacking. It was sweet but not hot. There was only one sex scene and that was basically a quickie, yuk. The last chapter felt like an epilogue. I would have liked to have known what happened during the time between the quickie and the final chapter.
I received an ARC copy of this book by the Publisher via Netgalley and I am voluntarily leaving my review.
Paige is a Corporate Consultant and helps her clients to run a successful business. Kassidy works at a Lavender Farm and is trying to make it a success. Paige is hired by Kassidy’s father (whom she doesn’t have a good relationship with). I think both the main characters are well written, there is little angst and both characters had good chemistry. I like that it was a slow burn (sometimes a little too slow). Overall it was an enjoyable read.
This book offers what its title says, a romance between lavender fields. Even with the fact that initially both protagonists do not seem to have much in common and also with the way they are going to start their professional relationship, through Kennedy's father, who after using Paige's consulting company to improve his business, hires her to do the same with his daughter's lavender farm.
This complicated situation, taking into account that Kennedy has no relationship with his father since he abandoned her and her mother and brothers when she was six years old, seems doomed to disaster. But thanks to several quite funny situations between Paige and Kennedy, some caused by Paige's dog and fundamentally because of the attraction they feel instantly towards each other, what was going to be a conflict becomes a collaboration that will change the way the two women in facing their personal relationships.
The lavender environment that traps Paige has also caught me during the reading, very pleasantly I must say. And in spite of Kennedy's indecision and some other hurdles, they finally find their way to each other.
I liked the personalities of both protagonists, strong but at the same time vulnerable and without fear, almost always, to say what they feel. And with a sense of humor.
In some parts of the book, I've missed a little more dialogue and less description of the environment and the inner thoughts of the protagonists. I would also have liked a little more intimacy between them. But the book, as it is, is very good and I really recommend it.
3.75 Stars. This was another good book by Walsh. I’m a fan of Walsh but I was really disappointed in her last book Seascape. Walsh has a unique style to her books that I feel very comfortable with and it was missing in Seascape. I’m happy to say this was book was a big step back to the Walsh that I have come to expect and enjoy. While this wasn’t one of my favorites by her, it’s very readable and Walsh-like so I’m happy with this.
This is a slow-burn romance where not a lot happens. This is part of Walsh’s style. She takes characters, with jobs like lavender farmer, that you would not think would be that interesting, but she makes it interesting. It is obviously Walsh does a ton of research for her books and she brings these lower key jobs to life. Her type of romances I normally find on the boring side. I like some excitement, action or just pep in my romances… but Walsh somehow has a magic wand attached to her keyboard because when she writes, she transforms these slower storylines into something I want to read about.
My favorite part of this book was the character of Paige. Paige is someone I would want to know in real life and it was easy to connect to her while reading. I actually wonder if Walsh patterned Paige a little bit after herself. Paige is a job consultant who learns everything she can about different jobs/companies and helps turn them around. It feels like what Walsh does learning about all these different jobs to make her stories so interesting.
Another aspect I really enjoyed was the light humor all through the book. Since it is a slow-burn romance, Paige and Kassidy have this flirty/humor that I really enjoyed. To be honest I chuckled/laughed more at this book than I do most rom-coms so I was surprised and happy about that.
My one main complaint is I was missing some passion in this book. I felt that flirty-ness of two people just starting to connect but I needed more chemistry and finally passion to seal the deal that these two could be a potential long term couple. There was one rushed sex scene that I thought didn’t really add the intimacy I was hoping for.
I’ll mention again this was not my favorite by Walsh, but it’s still worth the read. I was hooked from page one and was never bored for such a low-key story. If you are a Walsh fan I think you will be happy with this book. Or if you don’t mind a slower paced romance this might be for you too.
Gentle romance, excellent chemistry and low angst; this book is to just get into a romantic frame.
Paige Leighton is a corporate consultant, which means she helps businesses that aren’t doing too well to get back on track. Something of a jack-of-all, Paige’s strength is to go into any, literally any, business, study it, study the company that has hired her and offer the best solutions to improve the bottom line. At the end of one successful consultancy, her client gifts Paige’s expertise to his daughter, Kassidy Drake who owns a lavender farm. The father-daughter don’t have the best of relationships and Paige’s interference is not exactly welcome. But attraction and Cupid can strike anyone, anywhere.
The two MCs are well defined and well written. Their interactions and dialogues are great fun. The whole atmosphere of the lavender farm is excellently evoked. Secondary characters, particularly Kassidy’s siblings are really sweet.
This one is a lovely read.
I ARC received via NetGalley and in exchange for an honest review.
Paige Leighton is corporate consultant who does whatever it takes to make her cilents business successful.
Kassidy Drake has creating a comfort zone that just right for her but when she needs to make Lavender Lane Farm successful.
This when Kassidy meets Paige who was hired by Kassidy estranged father she doesn't want to hear what Paige have to say but she quickly realize that she going to have leave her comfort zone if she want to succeed and prove her father wrong.
I like both characters and you feel the attraction between them even though it does seem force at time. This was a slow romance and sometimes I like that in a book but this was too slow there were flirtations a kiss or two but it took almost the whole book for them to get together but I do say it's better then Seascapes.
Wow, this is such good story I loved how the author used humor. Everything was balanced Page was wonderful so thoughtful and the author gave both character such nice personality. To be honest Page was truly anyone who goes to the country side and getting to know what's stereotype and what's true
I finished this book and my standers are quite high for the next. very well written book. Sweet ending
I was giving a free copy in exchange for an honest opinion
Paige Leighton is hired by Kassidy Drake's father to help to show Kassidy that she should give up on her dream of having a successful Lavender farm. Paige does not go along with this plan and is determine to help Kassidy's business be successful for years to come. Kassidy is hard headed and really doesn't want to give Paige a chance, but quickly realizes she needs to.
This book bothered me a bit. I felt that the chemistry between the characters was forced on me. It just didn't seem natural. It also bothered me that even though they were attracted to one another they could only manage a kiss. Really? Also, after the breakup (not sure if it can be called that because they were never together), the ending was rushed. I mean who declares love when you weren't with the person - AT ALL. Oh and I would have never have known about Paige's issues until it was brought up towards the end. I think we should have seen this earlier on. Overall, I was a bit bored.
I will rate this one 2.75 (rounded up).
I have to say I quite enjoyed this book. There's a lot of dialogue in it, which I find it to be usually ambivalent about - because it's hard to write a good one, the one that holds your attention all the way through it, but in this book - you'll have no problem with it.
I have to say, if there is one flaw - it would be Paige's and Kassidy's personal, intimate scenes - there's not a lot of sensual flirting going around, and not a lots of scenes - it's mostly their bickering about business and talking about it - their "personal" scenes, can be put together on 2 pages.
Now, that being said, the rest of the book is excellent. If this issue doesn't really matter to you, you'll find yourself greatly enjoying this one.
Karis Walsh has done it again with Love on Lavendar Lane! This book is a sweet romance with two fantastic main characters. Paige was hired as a business consultant, by Kassidy’s estranged father, to help her struggling business. Normally when two mains meet in this situation, there is a lot of anger, drama, and angst. Karis chose, instead, to use humor to show the push-pull between the characters. It worked so well! The scenery was incredible and I learned so much about lavender! Dante and the twins were great additions to an already fantastic story. Overall this book is amazing! I highly recommend it!
