You are guided step by step to create your flower designs. Thank you to Marie Bowden, NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a great way to learn a new skill with various techniques for creating flowers! I like how it was divided into three sections and the directions were easy to follow. It was such a good idea to have the plant directory section so that if you needed to, you could look up exactly what flower you wanted to create! My favorite part was in the last section where it showed how to bring it all together and enhance your art with additional add-ons. The illustrations were so eye catching! Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC!

First of all, this book has so many beautiful illustrations to look at. I love the format Marie Boudon uses to deliver her instructions. They are easy step-by-step instructions with detailed pictures. I'm just started to learn to paint with woatercolors with these techniques, I hope to improve! Great beginner art book.

In general, the design of the book is very clean and easy to read.
One of the parts that I liked the most and is representative of the artist's taste is the selection of favorite mixes and palettes.
Each example is accompanied by step by step images, they are simple and very clear, for the realization of flowers (Plant Directory, roses, dahlias, anemones, etc). In later sections the artist explains floral compositions and foliage frames that can be used for gift cards, contains suggestions and color blends. The examples are colorful, delicate and for a feminine profile.

My sincere appreciation to the Publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to review the book

DIY Watercolor Flowers is a great source for the watercolorist to learn more about painting flowers. Marie takes you step by step, petal by petal how to create flowers in watercolor.. Watercolor is medium that is difficult to master. Experience with water color painting is helpful to achieve the results presented. I think for an artist with experience in working with watercolor will find this book helpful for learning more about painting flowers.

Thank you to Net Galley for providing a copy of this book to review.

This is a gorgeous and fun book to help you learn to paint watercolor flowers. The author goes into color theory at the start and then leads you through some exercises to get the hang of painting watercolors and using gradients. Then she leads you through painting a variety of common flowers like roses, peonies, carnations, etc. The last section shows pieces to paint using these flowers. I love the style of the flowers and the step by step pictures seem like something that not just I could follow along with successfully but my kids too.

I read a digital ARC of this book for the purpose of review.

This book is beautiful - both the cover and the inside! I just love Marie Boudon's art style - her flowers and designs are absolutely gorgeous.

The book is divided into three parts: Basic Techniques, Plant Directory and Flower Compositions. I liked the step-by-step instructions, and they seemed clear and easy to follow. Unfortunately, I didn't have any supplies with me to try these techniques. I'd be interested in looking at this book again once it's published, so I could see if I could achieve the intended results. I'm definitely a beginner!

The flower compositions are beautiful, and provide a great resource of final designs to achieve, once you have mastered the basics.

Thank you F & W Media and Netgalley for an ARC in return of my honest review.

This is an absolutely gorgeous book that made me want to get water colours out and play right there and then. As a beginning artist I loved the way the book showed how to draw flowers from different views and gave lots of great, basic knowledge on colours, mixing and gradients.

The artistry within the book is delightful and makes a beautiful gift.

This book was super easy to follow and had a lot of ideas. I loved how everything had ideas of what to do and how to do it in a cohesive manner. I'm a newbie at watercolor and this was incredibly easy to follow and recreate. Now I see everything in watercolors.

First of all, this book is so pretty to look at. The instructions are easy step-by-step with pictures showing each step. I'm still not a great painter even with these techniques, but I hope to improve! Great beginner art book.

If you are interested in improving your drawing technique in this particular topic and medium, it's very useful. You need to have some practice to enjoy it completely, but nonetheless this book is a nice introduction to watercolor and includes lots of reference images and step-by-step drawings for different kinds of flowers. My favorite part was the one dedicated to the compositions (bouques, wreaths, etc.) which you can copy or use as a model for your own creations. Highly recommended

A useful book for those wishing to paint water colour flowers. It covers everything from the brushes, paints, colour charts with paint and water, colour wheel to how to do dry to wet and wet to wet and much more.

Great book to get you started, lots of singular examples of flower such as carnations and poppies, then it moves onto whole bunches.

I certainly picked up lots of information from the book and found the colour photography of the painting stages very helpful.

I received this book from netgalley in return for a honest review.

I’ve always wanted to paint flowers (it goes so well with handlettering and bulletjournalling!), but I never could get the hand of it. But Marie has made it doable! She explains step by step how to make specific flowers and vines and leaves, and because of the clear pictures with every step you get a feeling that you can actually do this too. Spoiler alert: you totally can! And what is always a bit tricky for me: how do you arrange them so it becomes a vibrant bouquet or cluster or whatever shape you want? She explains clearly a LOT of options and also shows step by step what you need to do, and even what flowers from previous excercises were used. And she also shows some stunning pictures how you can display your art, too. I love this book and I’ve learned so much from it!

A free ebook was given to me in exchange for an honest review :)

If you enjoy watercolor or even wish to begin, this book isn't a bad place to start. It includes basic color mixing and techniques that would be useful to any basic to intermediate level. The images are beautiful and the book rather inspires you to get your watercolors out and just start painting. I think the instructions could have been clearer at times and the designs more distinct, but overall I enjoyed it.
