Single Dad To Heal Her Heart is written by Caroline Anderson and published by M&B Medical. Livvy Henderson is an ER trauma doctor who has been free from cancer for 5 years. She loves her friends, job and is happy with her lot in life. She meets newly widowed surgeon Matt Hunter who is the father to two small children. The connect during stream building weekend in the wilds of Cumbria. Neither of them are looking for love, instead it finds them!

This is Caroline’s 100th M&B novel and it doesn’t disappoint. The medical aspect of the novel doesn’t take over or swamp the development of the relationship although Matt’s declaration of love and subsequent marriage proposal does seem a bit quick and rushed, spoiling the speed of the storyline. It is a traditional romance, no dramatic storyline or angst, just two characters who’ve had a rough time slowly finding their HEA.

I received this novel from Mills & Boon via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

I love a good medical romance, and this one was excellent. Sweet, romantic, with lovely characters and a perfect ending.

Will be looking out for more from this writer.

Reading the story of Matt and Livvy made me fall inlove with medical romance. She survived cancer, fell in love and became a mother.

I love you tail of a trauma doctor, Livvy, and surgeon, Matt, a single dad. Both have been through great trauma themselves and are naturally drawn together. The speed of the romance is breathtaking, so of course when they stop to breathe, they discover more about each other and Matt starts to imagine they should not continue their romance. As the tale winds around the beautiful surroundings, so do their hearts start to heal. The tale comes to the expected end. A great way to while away a few hours.

So there these two doctors - each has a past that influences strongly in their current life, and she has a very good reason for her extremely healthy diet and her parents’ concern.
There is a very rapid romance as they fall in lust over a few short weeks which then turns into love and a resolution of their past issues so that a true partnership can be forged.
Not an unusual version of the trope but nicely told with a strong empathetic feel to the style and phrasing. Very pleasant reading.

This was a good wee book...really liked the characters and both of them had had a tough time of lat. my only issue was the speed of the romance. Everything Matt said he wanted from the relationship was turned, it seemed in a blink of an eye. This causes the romance and love to seem a bit false. I’m all for a happy ending but it doesn’t need to include a declaration of love and marriage...it just came of a little false

I don’t know how Mills & Boon writers keep coming up with fresh different ideas for storylines. This is my first book by Caroline Anderson that I have read, but my second medical drama book. I really enjoyed this story about a medical team that are climbing up haystacks with the valley below them. There’s a trophy to be won & Livvy Henderson is very competitive, she wants to win that trophy, but her hope are dashed when she falls, landing on some rocks. Single dad, Matt Hunter, consultant trauma surgeon who is Livvy’s team mate rescued her. He’s not looking for a woman in his life, and Livvy has been through enough and she’s not trusting any man in her life, but she can’t help falling for Matt. Caroline Anderson is a very competitive writer who writes beautiful contemporary love stories.

Ms Caroline Anderson at her Best, 5 Stars 🌟

When Trauma Doctor Livvy Henderson and Surgeon Matt Hunter team up together during a team building exercise in Cumbria; neither of them expects that a weekend in the country could be the beginning of something special and lead to a second chance at a truly deserved HEA!

A Single Dad to Heal Her Heart by Ms Caroline Anderson is her 100th book and is the latest book in the Yoxburgh Park Hospital Miniseries; although it is part of a miniseries and includes references to past characters (for instance it was nice to catch up with Ed and Annie, you can read their story in Risk of a Lifetime, if you haven't already!) it can be read as an enjoyable standalone in its own right. So if you enjoy your romances with a strong medical theme, then Ms Caroline Anderson has written a heartbreakingly beautiful, emotional and empowering story which is a must read for all fans of romance!

For your information, I received my copy from Netgalley and Mills and Boon via Mills and Boon Insiders however, this does not influence my opinions as all opinions are my own.

Single Dads are my catnip—one who’s a doctor is an even bigger bonus—and Caroline Anderson confirms why she’s one of my top M&B medical romance authors as she brings us a romance which socks a punch to your heart for so many reasons.

“...since I met you I feel I’ve come out of the shadows and into the light again...”

If there are two people who deserve the happiest of ever afters, it’s Matt and Livvy and you’d have to be a wee bit dead inside not to be moved by what they have experienced. I cheered this couple on from the start, I shared their ups and downs, fell in love with Matt and, having discovered that Livvy is the daughter of Anderson’s first ever hero and heroine, I’m off to grab myself her parent’s romance and rewind 29 years to find out how it all began...which could be dangerous as there are 30 odd books in that series and it could prove expensive once I start.
