Interesting storyline, but I just couldn't get into it. Not the author's fault, it just wasn't for me. Would still be willing to read other works.
I thought the premise of this was actually very brave. In the beginning however, no matter the progression of the story, I found it quite hard to read. Sadly it seems to reinforce stereotypes. Also I’m sure some patients may have identified with Aki, it may be a step too far for others
Sorry to say that I didn't get to this in time and it was archived before I could read it. It looks intriguing though and I'm keen to read it.
Interesting subject matter and dealt with in a heart warming way, with some gentle humour. Certainly increased my knowledge a little and my sympathy a lot for those in similar circumstances.
An interesting story, set over a period of 4 months whilst Akins on the road of recovery and about how her little family get through this period. It’s not an extraordinary tale as the author says, just an everyday story going on around the world. It’s a story that needs to be told and needs to be discussed more often. The little strengths people and families have, the ordinary problems and issues they live. This was well written, thought provoking and I really hope lots of people read this.
