Do I have to wait until August to read what happens next? Author Joshilyn Jackson delivers again with her new novel, Never Have I Ever. The story begins with a new neighbor, Roux attending a book club for "zombies mommies." As the night progresses (and the drinks increase), the group of ladies begin playing an unfamiliar game. What will they learn about one another that has been buried deep below mortgages, marriages, and self-love mantras?

Although the extract only contained the first chapter of the novel, I can see the story unfolding with amazing twists and interesting characterization. This story feels a bit different from other novels I have read by the author, which makes it all the more enjoyable.

I look forward to reading the entire novel when it is published on August 8, 2019.

I received an excerpt of this book from Netgalley and now I need the rest! I found what I have read so far, to be very intriguing and highly addicting! I look forward to resuming where I left off!

I received just an extract of the book but I'm definitely craving for the whole book.

I loved what I read. absolutely loved.

As I have only read the extract, I'm quite limited in how much I can review here, however; This is a really interesting premise, a book group amongst a small, exclusive neighbourhood including the local 'yummy mummies', a lot of wine and chat - seemingly not a lot of it about books. Amy is hosting the book club on the night in question and a new neighbour - Angelica Roux turns up and she seems to know more about Amy than she's letting on. She immediately makes an impact on the group by not trying to 'fit in' and just this makes her seem different - but what is she really there for?

I enjoyed the opening chapter of this book, the writing was engaging and so it did grab my interest.

A strong start. Interesting characters and the promise of secrets uncovered.

I didnt get the whole copy of the book but what I got to read I enjoyed. I look forward to reading more of it.

This was a juicy extract! I always get a little bummed when I realize it is an extract, because I am so impatient when it comes to a good story. I am definitely excited to read the whole novel!

interesting start, would i read the rest, yes i would. this is my first time reading her books and found it an intriguing premise.

If just the first chapter of the book is so good, I can't imagine how the rest of the book will be. I'm a sucker for psychological thrillers and this one seems to be right up my alley! Definitely on my to-read list!

YESSSS this book was a knockout! I am loving the title first off and then after starting to read it I was really hooked! Y'all definitely need to read this one... you will love it, I promise!

Being relatively new to NetGalley when I requested (and received) this ARC, I didn't realize this was an extract - a mere 30 pages of the book to come. Right from the start, the well-crafted writing pulled me in and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. And then the extract ended and left me hanging - I NEED MORE! I need to know what happens, and how this develops!

Joshilyn Jackson never disappoints, and Never Have I Ever looks to be no exception. When Roux takes over a neighborhood moms’ book club meeting one night, moms whose lives have been a steady diet of play groups, nap times & potty training suddenly are jerked wide awake. Roux teases out damaging secrets, mostly aimed at narrator Amy, who instantly realizes that Roux has arrived with big ulterior motives.

This excerpt has me wanting more, and no doubt that this latest Jackson novel will shine bright like the others.

This review is for the EXTRACT only of Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson and OH BOY I wish it was the entire book. This was such a great sneak peak at what I can only describe as whats going to be this summers hottest psychological suspense novel.

Great mysterious characters, and a plot that I think is going to play out deliciously! Looking forward to reading the rest of the book SOON!
