I loved PS I love you and was excited to read this sequel but worried it wouldn’t live up to the first book.
I was not disappointed I loved it.
Cecelia’s books are always easy to read and touch the heart and this was no exception.
Brilliant sequel
Thank you

Postscript draws you back into Holly's world as if you never left. It is now seven years after Gerry's death and Holly is feeling more confident that life can go on as Holly, and maybe even Holly and Gabriel. It is in this mindset that she agrees to her sister's request, to take part in a podcast sharing her grief experience, and particularly Gerry's letters, and what they meant for her.
Facing her grief again, even seven years on is difficult and you feel her pain and the real fear that she may slip back into the dark abyss if she examines her grief journey too closely. Nevertheless, she delivers and the response is positive, but someone seems too involved and Holly's reaction is avoidance, and this has consequences.
What emerges as you progress with this story, is that Holly's recovery is superficial. She manages to convince friends and family that she is moving on, and feels less pain, but deep down the grief and sense of loss remain.
Helping others leave their loved ones, messages to help them move on after death is not something Holly feels capable of initially. Her relationships with the P.S. I Love You Club members are an emotional journey for Holly. Her courage forces her to face up to her grief, and finally realise that moving on, doesn't mean forgetting, or loving less.
There is a maturity in this book that comes with age and experience. Holly in Postscript is different from Holly in P.S. I Love You. Grief and loss change her irrevocably, and healing only comes from acceptance, and courage to embrace the change and the new person she has become.
Postscript's stories of pain and pleasure, despair and hope and loss and love are emotive and life-affirming, and every bit as potent as the original story.
I received an arc from Harper Collins UK - Harper Fiction via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I loved this book and it was a great sequel, it did not disappoint.
Written in the same casual yet warm style as all of her books Cecelia Ahern managed to tug at those heart strings again. It didn't feel like a repetition when the original story was recounted and could well be an excellent stand alone book too. I loved the way Holly's maturatiy was expressed and the author showed that whilst you can still love those that are no longer with us, our hearts are big enough to love again. I really recommend this book.

I adore this author and this book was a brilliant read and one that is perfect to escape for a few hours and loose yourself.
Characters that fall out of the pages of the book and make you fell apart of the story, the setting comes alive and captured is well with words.
A great read. that I would highly recommend.

Omg how excited I was to see this book . I absolutely loved the first one !! 7 years after the death of Gerry , Holly is persuaded to help other terminally ill people find their own unique way to leave their imprint with their loved ones .The “Ps I love you club “ . Through this she is overwhelmed with memories of her time with Gerry .
And easy read with humour and sadness and a well overdue sequel .

It’s so hard when you really love a book and it’s a firm favourite in your heart, then you find out that there will be a sequel. Will it live up to the hype? I was excited to read this book, but also scared that it wouldn’t be as good as I needed it to be. I have often thought about Holly and how she had found her life after the previous book ended. You want her to find happiness again, but not to forget about Gerry because that wouldn’t happen in real life. Well, this book didn’t disappoint. It made me laugh, it made me cry and it felt right. Thank you for writing it, Cecelia. I can’t imagine how much pressure you must’ve felt!

PS, I love you is an amazing story and with Postscript, Cecilia Ahern has created a beautifully written follow up that does not disappoint.
Holly seems to have got her life back on track but without living it to the full, Gerry is still a very strong presence. Her sister asks her to do a podcast sharing her experience and the fall out of that podcast brings her in to contact with some amazing people who open her heart to life.
This story will have you in tears but once finished will also leave you feeling very positive.
I was given a copy of Postscript by NetGalley and the publishers in return for an unbiased review.

I was actually extremely worried about reading this book as well as extremely excited !
P.S. I love you being one of my all time favourite books.
A sequel, especially after a long period of time is a very brave thing to attempt, but I needn’t have worried, Cecilia has nailed it!
I absolutely loved this book Cecelias writing has matured,
It is a beautifully written book, heartwarming but also heartbreaking, Holly is still Holly! Yes time has moved on and the original cast have grown up - maybe ? But with the addition of some strong new characters this book is another classic. It was lovely being in Holly’s world again but have the tissues ready .
Thank you to Netgalley, Harper Collins, and Cecilia Ahern for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

I've just finished this gorgeous story with definitely a few tears in my eyes....an inspiring and lovely story that I didn't see coming but a heartwarming twist in the tale. Throughly recommend!

It's been 7 years since Holly lost her husband in 'PS I love you', and 6 years since she finished her letters. Her sister persuades her to take part in a podcast discussing bereavements and finds herself swept up in the lives of a group of people, all of who have just a short time left to live. Heartwarming, heartbreaking and compulsive reading. The perfect sequel.

The sequel to PS I love you! Long awaited and much loved!!
The book starts slow- building the background of Holly and how her life has progressed over the years. She has a new boyfriend and a new career,
But her PS I love you days have only just begun!
With the introduction to new characters we learn that Holly has room in her heart to remember her husband and help others when (and how) they need it most,
Beautifully written and heartwarming. A must read for Ceclia Ahern fans and a great follow-up to the original.

Thanks to Net Galley and Harper Collins Uk for an ARC of this book in exchange for a review.
Apologies that I am late to read this book and review.
This is a brilliant sequel to PS I Love You.
It’s been 7 years since Holly Kennedy lost her husband Gerry, who was only 30, to cancer.
She has made a new life for herself, working in her sisters second hand shop and she has a boyfriend, Gabriel.
Holly reluctantly takes part in her sisters podcast and shares her experience on grief and loss. Following on from this a group of four who have different illnesses set up a group calling themselves ‘PS I Love You Club’. And they want Holly to help them leave something behind for their loved ones.
Holly is even more reluctant to be involved but after meeting the group it’s hard to put them out of her mind. The challenges the four members and Holly come up against show that through heartbreaking loss we do become stronger, so Holly finds herself helping the club, putting her relationship with Gabriel at risk.
This book is very well written, it’s a compassionate touching story which Cecelia Ahern’s followers will love.

Wow! What a touching, tear-stealer of a read!
Well, I blubbed like a baby come the end of this one! The sequel to PS I Love You starts 7 years on from when Holly lost the love of her life, Gerry. She’s coping well and is happy in a new relationship with Gabriel. That is until her sister Ciara asks her to take part in something. This stirs up old memories for Holly, regarding the letters that Gerry left for her to find after he had passed.
Joy, Paul, Bert & Ginika are terminally ill. They have decided they too want to leave something behind for their loved ones, just like Gerry did for Holly. Who better to help them than Holly herself. Should she? Shouldn’t she? This is what she asks herself over and over. After much deliberation, she takes on the challenge and this is where the emotional rollercoaster begins.
I’ll be honest I was delaying reading this book for fear I wouldn’t love it as much as it’s predecessor. I needn’t have worried, it was just as beautifully written and touching as PS I Love You. Cecilia Ahern has one hell of a gift, being able to create a sequel that pulls at your heartstrings all over again.
I was unsure initially whether I wanted Holly to help the PS I Love you club. I didn’t think it was the right thing for her to do, just when she was getting on with her life. I even found myself thinking, no, this isn’t the right kind of thing for the sequel. I was so wrong! Joy, Paul, Bert & Ginika are all such lovable characters and all touched my heart in a way I can’t really describe. Holly absolutely did the right thing helping them. The book follows the journey of Holly helping each individual in a different way. What I love is there are also parts where we visit memories of her time with Gerry. I love that he is still very much part of this book. There is plenty of humour throughout as well which works perfectly to make you smile in amongst the tears.
I think this could be read as a stand-alone book, but if you’ve not read PS I Love You then personally I would read that first. This book should definitely be made into a film!
Thank you to Cecilia Ahern, Harper Collins UK & Net Galley for my copy of this heartwarming tale of Love, Loss & the remembering ❤️

I love Cecelia Ahern and I loved 'PS I Love You' so I was delighted and excited to read the next installment. We rejoin Holly 7 years after the events of 'PS I Love You'. She is about to sell her house and move in with her new boyfriend when her sister talks her into doing a podcast about the letters that Gerry left behind for her following his death. Following the podcast, Holly is thrown into the path of a group calling themselves the PS I Love You group. They all have terminal illnesses and want to leave letters behind for their loved ones. Seeking Holly's advice is good for them but Holly doesn't feel so sure, and isn't helped by her boyfriend going all moody and moving his daughter in with him instead.
This is almost perfect Cecelia Ahern, marred only by some of the characters feeling a little one dimensional. You don't need to read 'PS I Love You' first, I think that this works as a stand alone novel. The Holly in this is the Holly I loved from the first book and her voice still feels authentic and real.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

5 stars out of 5 for me for this book... This sequel to PS I love you is even better than the first book, it's even more powerful and beautiful. I absolutely loved this book! I really liked being back in Holly's life 7 years after her husband died and 6 years after the opening of the last letter. I didn't expect this book to be so good. The storyline is very well thought and very well written. Cecelia Ahern is a genius! Excellent book! Just a little warning, to understand what's going on in this book you absolutely need to read first P.S. I love you.
I highly recommend this book to all women's fiction fan!!! It's a must!

This is the long awaited sequel to P. Si love you and it does not disappoint. It's 7 years after Gerrys death and Holly has to accept moving on.
It will make you laugh and cry
The writer has written it in ab easy to read way and I urge you all to read it.
It's a must!

I first read P.S. I Love You back in 2004 when it was released and loved the emotional story of Holly and Gerry and his letters to help her move on after he passed away. Since then I have also enjoyed the film adaptation, which changed a lot of details but still had the same feeling of the original story. In the intervening years I had definitely forgotten some of the details of the book and focussed on the film, so if anyone else is the same, I would recommend re-reading P.S. I Love You before reading Postscript - I wish I had!
Postscript rejoins Holly seven years after Gerry died and six years after his last letter. She has moved on with a new job and new boyfriend but is still treated by her family as very fragile due to her grief. She has also become an expert at distracting herself from thinking about Gerry too much.
When she shares the story of Gerry's letters, people in similar situations to Gerry are inspired to form a club focussing on helping their own loved ones after they're gone. The stories of the PS, I Love You Club members are very moving. I was particularly captivated by Ginnika and Jewel and was heartbroken by the end. It was interesting to see how Holly was affected by each member of the group and how it helped her reflect on Gerry's loss and his letters, although I did find some of Holly's reflections quite lengthy and maybe a little repetitive.
I really enjoyed Postscript and felt like it has enhanced the original story, emphasising how grief for a loved one is a lifelong process but that there can be hope for the future.
I highly recommend Postscript for those who loved P.S. I Love You. I give it 4 out of 5.

I was so excited to hear that Cecelia Ahern had written a sequel to PS I Love You. The book has stayed with me for fifteen years, I enjoyed the film and wanted to know how Holly was coping seven years after Gerry’s death. However, I found myself finding excuses NOT to read it, in case it was disappointing and tarnished the memories of Holly and Gerry’s story.
However, I wasn’t disappointed by Postscript, in fact, Cecelia Ahern takes up the reins of Holly’s life seamlessly. It still has a highly emotive storyline and fascinating characters without ever feeling rushed, like so many sequels do.
It has been six years since Holly read the last letter that Gerry wrote for her. She has taken on board all the life lessons he equipped her with during those grief-stricken months after his death from cancer. Armed with the knowledge that Gerry wanted her to live her life to the full, she has found happiness again…working in her sister’s vintage shop and in a new relationship with Gabriel.
She discusses Gerry’s letters in her sister’s podcast and is surprised to learn that people are inspired by her recollections. However, when she is approached by a group of people with life-limiting illnesses she is wary of giving them the help they request from her.
Will helping the ‘PS I Love You Club’ take her back to a dark and devastating time just when she feels like she has moved on?
My heart ached for Holly as she is torn by wanting to help the PS I Love You members but not wanting to return to the days when she experienced such unbearable grief. However, helping them write their letters gave Holly insight into how Gerry was feeling at the time he wrote them and bought him closer to her. She began to see the letters in a totally different way, through the eyes of the person writing them, not just as the recipient. I loved that the book demonstrates that everyone deals with facing death and extreme grief differently, there is no magic formula, no rules and certainly no quick fixes.
This is not a book about death but coping with life after death. It is a reminder to appreciate everyone you love and don’t take life for granted. The writing is beautiful, poignant and melancholy but not forced or disingenuous. I cried several times but loved hearing more of Holly’s story and meeting much-loved characters once again. All the members of the PS I Love You group were so diverse and each had totally different reasons for needing Holly’s help.
This is a stunning sequel, totally worth the long wait and one of my favourite reads this year.

A beautiful moving read from Cecilia Ahern. Fits perfectly back into the ps I Love you setting pushing a bit further and exploring a life after grief. I found It so very loving and moving to read. Fully recommend

PS I love you has been one of my absolute favourites,so I was so excited to receive an ARC of this book.It did not disappoint. It was wonderful to follow up on the story of Holly. As sequels go,the storyline of Holly assisting the PS I love you group, a group of terminally ill people, was well done. Certainly an emotional read, but with some uplifting moments also.Recomnended.
