My Best Friend’s Royal Wedding turned out to be a really good read. Author Romy Sommer brings humor and insight to a classic romance trope. Vegas waitress and college student Khara meets minor royal arrogant scumbag Adam at a casino dinner when she is his party’s server. He makes a terrible impression. A year later they meet again as maid of honor and best man at their mutual friends’ royal wedding. Adam has always relied on his charm to get his way, but Khara isn’t charmed...not one bit...well certainly not that she’d ever acknowledge, and she has a life plan. Adam’s royal uncle wants to make him his heir, but Adam hasn’t been in the small country in forever, and he has avoided responsibility for as long as he can remember. So we have oil and water and in Ms. Sommer’s capable hands the elements are shaken well with interesting situations, clever and often profound dialogue and yes, some heat. I totally enjoyed the time spent reading this delightful book and think you will also. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this. I expected it to be predictable and whimsical but both Adam and Khara are dealing with some very real and complex issues whilst falling head over heels in love in the style of a captivating fairytale romance. Khara is a strong female lead and Adam runs much deeper than first impressions. A great, easy read - I’d love a series following some of the other characters that we meet briefly.

I was unable to read this novel due to formatting issues, but from the summary it appears to be an adorably fluffy romance that I think many will find enjoyable!

Thanks Netgalley, Harper Impulse and Killer Reads, and One More Chapter for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Khara finds herself somewhere she never would have imagined—she’s the sole bridesmaid in her best friend’s royal wedding. She finds the best man (also in the royal elite) to be a playboy and downright annoying, but is there something more to him?
This was a quick read and good romance. I was hoping for a bit more backstory and character development because the story moved quickly. Overall, it was a cute story and great for a lazy weekend.
