Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title. While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.
I really enjoyed Runaway Heir by Ruth Cardello, she always knows how to write a great book.
I found myself really relating to Nicolette throughout the book, feeling like she doesn’t quite fit in and trying to find her way and place in the world. Bryant is also a very loveable character, given that he is an enemy of Nicolette’s family.
These two were perfect together. I couldn’t put this book down, but am so glad there is more to come from Ruth Cardello!
Everyone in Nicolette Westerlys life is happy but how come she feels as if she is lost and floundering.
Bryant Taunton is a self made man estranged from his father and making his way in the world so when his friend asks him to look out for his family friends Nicolette he is happy to help, one problem the Westerlys and Taunton have been feuding for years.
When Nicolette decides to head to a small town to boost tourism and bring life back to the town.
The village folk are wonderfully well written and I really wished I could go there and visit the sites.
This is the fifth book of the Westerly Billionaires series and I am going to have to go back and catch up on the other members of the familys story.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in return for an honest review
The last of this series was an amazing story! The humor was awesome. Bryant was a funny guy, but full of himself. Nicolette was sweet, but doubtful that she had any redeeming qualities. I loved how she jumped in to help the town, and then got everyone else involved too! Delinda grew on me during this whole series. The ending was hilarious!
What a great addition to the Westerlys series! I have been waiting for Nicolette to get her chance to tell her story and I wasn’t disappointed! It was worth the wait. Nicolette & Bryant are imperfectly perfect for each other!
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Another great read by a talented author I really enjoyed reading it and will definitely read more and recommend reading it
I loved Nicolette and Bryant's story! As the youngest Westerly sibling, it was heartbreaking to see how Nicolette felt she didn't belong anywhere in the family. I loved how Bryant tried to help her realize she does matter and watching the two of them fall in love.
Extremely enjoyed the entire series and especially all the characters. I look forward to reading more of your books!
I just love the way Alessandro sets things in motion. He knew exactly what he was doing when he got Bryant invited to Eric's wedding. One look at her and he was entranced with Nicolette. As she was finding out, hitting rock bottom taught people a lot about both themselves and those around them. Bryant had experienced a simular situation when his mom died so he was able to somewhat guide her. Running away to Macauley turned into a compass toward home for Nicolette. With a little helpful meddling from Alessandro and Bryant she found out that family is a choice. Either everything makes you happy or nothing does, the choice is yours. Delinda is a truly unique character and the more I read about her the more I'd like to know her. She's strong, tough, yet loving. A once broken family is finally on the mend.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, but reads well as a stand alone. Wow what a dysfunctional family, and I thought my family was messed up! I liked Nicolette and Bryant but the others just yuck! I didn't understand how they could all change suddenly overnight. Crazy but the story was fun! I enjoyed although I was sad for her. 4 stars. I think most romance readers will enjoy.
This is the last book in the series and it was as good as the others. I really liked this book and the characters. I liked that the characters from the other books were in this book. I would definantly recommend reading the books in order.
Highly entertaining, emotional, sexy and engaging journey filled with family secrets, intriguing charters, uncertain loyalty, a strong desire to start over and undeniable slightly forbidden passion.... was a thrilling read from beginning to end and I really enjoyed every heart pounding twist and turn.
Of the entire Westerly Billionaires Series, “Runaway Heir” is the best of the lot. Ruth Cardello ended this series on a high note as the Runaway Heir, Nicolette finds herself and a future with the tenacious and compassionate Bryant Taunton.
This is one of those love stories that had amazing chemistry between Nicolette and Bryant, their characters so relatable and realistic, the Westerly clan coming together as they finally come to terms with their fears and insecurities, secrets and revelations. And all through this Nicolette and Bryant find their way to each other.
This is one of Ruth’s best works and not to be missed!!
Received an ARC from Montlake Romance via NetGalley for an honest review.
Nicolette and Bryants story starts with a drama at her brothers wedding. Nicollete feels out of place like she doesn't belong since all the family revelations. Bryant comes along although definitely not a favourite of her grandmother - could be be the one? To help bring some real life back to Nicolettes shadows. Running from the wedding, taking a job to help a small town, Bryant is drawn. Can he win over the Westerlys, her grandmother but more importantly Nicolette? Really enjoyed this book, great writing, great story, great series! Can be read as a standalone but to fully enjoy delve in and enjoy
I enjoyed this book but think I would have liked it more had I read the prior books in the series. Enjoyable!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
She saved the best for last! I binge read the whole series to enable myself to give an honest review. While each installment could be read individually, I feel you get the best feel for this series by reading all the books in order. The family interacts with each other in all the books and is an integral part of the series. This last installment, #5, solves the problems between all the family members, answers the question of who each person was and showed the youngest member of the family that she was worthwhile and that she was an important part of them. I so loved the fact that Bryant was able to convince her of her importance and give her the HEA she thought she'd never find.
It was a great series and I was honored that the publisher gifted the book to be in return for an honest review.
This is the last book of the Westerly Series. This Nicolette’s story. Nicolette is the youngest Westerly and misunderstood. So many secrets but then the truth is revealed.
Nicolette is lost within herself debating her life while at the wedding of her brother. She does not know if she will be brave enough to run a DNA test to find out if the man she thought was her father was really her biological father. She has been running away from finding out the truth or joining in with her family since the secret was revealed of her mother's indiscretion and reason for the divorce of her parents. Now, she feels like a stranger with her family.
At the party, she decided to drink Grappa like it was water. Never a good move! Meeting Bryant was good and bad all at once. The chemistry was there and she had on the dress to seduce him. Too bad he would not budge beyond a kiss because she was so drunk! But they are fated to meet and create trouble for each other. A family feud, a runaway heir, an immovable man, and a town in trouble all play their parts in this emotional and amazing story of family and love.
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.
Nicolette has been such a large part of the Westerly series to this point it was nice finally getting to her story. This story is obviously a romance, but Nicolette’s personal story of her struggles, her personal growth, and the growth of her relationships with her family is really the best part of the novel. Bryant is so easy to fall in love with, more so than many of the other hero’s in the Westerly series, and is really the perfect pair for Nicolette.
This whole book is really a fresh take on the family and a unique point of view we haven’t seen yet on the crazy family dynamic. Anyone who has enjoyed the series so far will love this book and it is one of my favorites of the series.
Book 5 in the series of stand-alone Westerly Billionaire stories and its Nicolette’s turn to find love.
What I love about this series is how different each of the Westerly grandchildren personalities are and how I always feel like I’m home watching this family find the love they all deserve.
Nicolette may be the youngest but that doesn’t mean she keeps her views in check in fact she is probably the most outspoken of all the grandchildren but then family secrets are revealed and she ends up losing her passion for life she ends up withdrawn and sad. A drunken Nicolette meets Bryant at Eric and Sage’s wedding and one thing leads to another, there may be an attraction but Bryant needs to break down the walls Nicolette has put up so will he be the one to get her to open her heart up and lead her to taking one more chance on life and love ........
Families don’t always agree with who we choose as soulmates and will Bryant and Nicolette win over Delinda the grandmother who rules the roost, guess you need to read the book to find that out...
A beautifully written love story that will touch your heart, the characters are likeable and charming and I certainly recommend this to all romance lovers.
