A beautiful story about the family we are born into and the family we choose! Nicolette has felt like she didn’t belong for a long time and nothing could change her mind! She stayed away as often as she
Could but all she longed for was to feel needed! One look at Nicolette and Bryant’s life was forever changed! He saw the loneliness in her eyes and suddenly all he could think of was her!
This amazing story takes us on a journey of friendship, family and what it means to never give up! I haven’t read the previous novels and I didn’t feel like I missed anything! All important info was provided and I loved how it all came together!
Another amazing book within the Westerly Billionaire series. Runaway Heir is Nicolette's story. She may seem to be running away from her family and name but by the end of this story you see more to her then that. Nicolette is misunderstood and only wants to know the love of her family. I love her for her strength she shows throughout. When you meet Bryant you know it's just a matter of time. Bryant you will just fall in love with him. He is sweet and a fixer. He helps bring out the best in Nicolette even when she couldn't see it herself. You feel their connection from the start. Such a wonderful read. Family fueds, finding love and saving a town is the name of the game in Runaway Heir. I really loved this one. Go one click this whole series when you get the chance.
This is the 5th book in this series and focuses on Nicolette and Bryant -- much like the other books in this series, it's an enjoyable contemporary romance with a storyline that moves along nicely. I've enjoyed reading about the Westerly family -- very Interesting characters, intriguing plots and steamy times -- very good series! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Entertaining romance. Nothing special, but good enough to read on a lazy afternoon. The same formula this author has used in the other books in this series.
Omg I absolutely love this series. Another great book to the series. I don't like spoilers so I won't dive into the review but it definitely makes you feel good story
Thanks NG for the Arc.
i have read every book in this series and have loved every one i don't like spoilers i like to read a book for myself and not know whats going to happen but i will say its a family feel good book i couldn't put down well worth a look
Reading Westerly Billionaire series is like returning to visit old friends. Runaway Heir is filled with amazing characters we have grown to know and love and we get to meet even more friends in a new town, MacAuley, Iowa (which I'm convinced should have a series of it's own because this place has character).
Nicolette has been kind of the misfit in the family but we get to know her much better and I think she has become my favorite family member now. Bryant is hot, sexy and rich, the perfect fit for Nicolette.
I loved this book, the quirky sense of humor and interesting characters make it stand out among the books I've read recently and this one will be on my re-read list.
I enjoy all the series, this book with Nicolette and Bryant story is a great one.She is trying to find her place in her family and he helps her. Bryant is just adorable, charming and sexy and from the wrong family. I laughed and my heart beated faster on some scenes. It was a good enjoyable read. Looking forward for more from Ruth Cardello.
I love this series! From book one, I was drawn into this world and it gets a little harder to leave after every book. Ruth knows how to paint a picture with her work and it feels like you’re in there with them. Amazing characters and intriguing storyline. If you haven’t started these yet, you need to!
I liked the overall story-line of this book, I just had trouble connecting or even caring for Nicolette's character. She spent the majority of the book in the "poor me" rich-girl mindset rather than do anything to show she was more than what people thought her to be. It was especially frustrating when many of her insecurities could be solved very easily (A DNA test for heaven's sake!!)
Bryant was a wonderful hero. His patience with Nicolette and continued pursuit was saint worthy! I just could never figure out exactly what he saw in her. We were told but never actually experienced anything from her to warrant his admiration. Just a fabulous guy who loves to help "fix" his heroine, I guess.
Colette is so sad and angry at the same time because she doesn't know where she fits in to her family any more and feels so lonely at her brother's wedding so goes on the balcony for some time alone. Bryant sees Nicolette and thinks that she is so hot and beautiful so he follows her when they kiss sparks fly and they are both staggered about how hot there connection and chemistry is between them. I love this series so much there are twists and turns along with so much heartache and sadness. This book is amazing and what you come to expect from an incredible author like Ruth. I have read nearly every book of Ruth's and I have never been disappointed. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed.
Runaway Heir by Ruth Cardello is book 5 in the Westerly Billionaire Series. This series a family series about the Westerly children and their journey finding to find and who they are.
Nicolette is the youngest of the Westerly children and she struggles find out who she truly is. The story bring to life stuggles many people go through. I love how Ruth write he inner thoughts. I really like Bryant Taunton and they way he handle himself with Westerly family!
This was a great story! I love how it bring the Westerly Series together! I love how Ruth wrote the story. It brought all sort of emotions as I read it! Highly recommended!
Nicolette is attending her brothers wedding, but with questions of her parentage swirling in her mind, she is unable to enjoy the festivities and indulges a little too much in alcohol. Just her luck that the guy who comforts her is one whose family has a feud with hers. Needing some time to be by herself and gather her thoughts and she goes to a small town in Iowa.
Bryant recognizes the loneliness in Nicolette and despite their family feud follows her to Iowa.
This is an entertaining and fun read with some enjoyable characters. I liked how it portrays the importance of family be it close family or a small town.
Loved this book. I haven't read a book by Ruth Cardello that I didn't like, but this one was extra special. Nicolette was from a very wealthy family, but she didn't think she belonged or fit in. So, she was acting out on a regular basis. She meets Bryant at a family wedding where she gets very drunk, but he takes care of her. Bryant's family and her family have some bad history between them, so not many people are happy to see them together. Nicolette runs away but it turns out to be the best thing she has ever done. She loves the small town in Iowa and wants to help them. Bryant (on the other hand) just wants to help her. The book had family dynamics, a confused young woman and a meeting of the minds of all her family at last. Her grandmother is a hoot and I'm glad she softened her attitude about several things.
All the characters on the heroine’s side of the story were irritating. When a plot point is that the heroine doesn’t like herself and is resentful of her relatives who are exasperated with her, it’s hard to have much sympathy for any of them. There seems no motivation for the hero to fall for her except that she was hot in a red dress when he first sees her. But it’s established that he’s led quite a playboy lifestyle and slept with lots of beautiful women so that doesn’t seem enough. Later he says that he noticed how sad and lost she seemed and he could relate to that. Awww, isn’t that nice? I just didn’t buy it. And when he meets her, mostly she’s unhappy, drunk, and a bit slutty and then passes out. Hey, what guy wouldn’t travel across the country to see that woman again?
Add in another plot point that seemed totally artificial as the heroine shows up to try to rescue an unbelievably cute Iowa town from economic and demographic collapse. It turns out that the way to do it is to get the hero and another billionaire friend of theirs to build a factory in town. We’re shown that the heroine has ideas to attract tourists that may or may not have worked, but instead we get deus ex factory from her rich friends.
I just didn’t buy any of this tale or characters including the mean/nice grandmother who is engaged to marry a king of some fictional European country. But if you don’t mind any hint of believability, and let’s face it, believability is never a strong suit in billionaire romances, then you might like this better than I did.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.
Nicolette ran away from her family the only way she knew how since she had so many unanswered questions filtering through her mind. Finding her place in her family is no longer easy. Feeling let down she questions her place since she has spent years spinning in an endless circle. Bryant is the only one who can reach her and help her mend the broken fissures that lurk beneath and bringing two long feuding families back together. I’ve definitely enjoyed reading this series.
I found the story to be quite interesting with a solid plot. I liked how the author wove the romance into an intriguing plot. Overall the writing was excellent.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more of this authors work. I highly recommend this author to friends and family alike.
Happy....that's how you will feel when you read this book. Runaway Heir is the perfect combination of sweet and sexy. Cardello proves with out a doubt that she knows what true romance is.
I remember discovering this author and really enjoyed her Legacy Collection. Lately I am finding that her work is lacking depth and a developed plot.
Neither the story nor the characters were credible to me. The story was outright sappy and I could not relate to the characters. This one was a miss for me.
