I liked the story of the book and all the bits and details about Alabama and the south but ultimately the writing style threw me off. This wasn't the book for me.

This book is dripping with local history and details of Phillip’s life painting a rich and detailed picture of Alabama. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
