I am in love with this story..these characters and Katy Evans!! Katy brings us an original, refreshing story that is the perfect combo of smart, sexy and sweet! Million Dollar Marriage is one of my top 5 reads of the year!

I had never read a story quite like this. The hero (Luke) and the heroine (Penelope) both have their own financial problems and in result end up standing in line next to each other awaiting the casting of the soon-to-be-on-tv show "Million Dollar Marriage". It was apparent from the beginning that these two were complete opposites but their chemistry was real. The challenges they were to face would either bring them closer or show them just how different they are. It was so beautiful to watch this story unfold. AND ladies...Luke is the man!! He gave me all the feels!!! I need me a lumberjack like Luke!!

This story has made it official for me..if Katy writes it..I'm reading it!!

Thanks Netgally! Love the story. Well written and lovely story with a Alpha male. Don’t like these type of stories maybe it’s not for you.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

Evans has another great read out! Luke and Penny are paired up for a reality since they are both in dire need of money. The catch? They have to get married. What comes next is two weeks of tough challenges, conflicting personalities, and enough sexual tension to keep things interesting.

I appreciate that they weren't trying to be perfect. They each had their flaws, but they were able to work together for the competition, falling in love as they went.

The love scenes were hot, but it was the emotional scenes that were the really great parts of this read. I was so completely invested that I wanted to focus on what they had to say to each other.

I really love these books that Evans has given us and I can't wait to see what comes next!

This story is everything suspenseful and swoony and oh so sexy. I loved every minute of reading it. The characters were complex and intriguing and the storyline held me captivated. I love Katy Evans writing and I can't wait for more.

received a free copy of this book courtesy of the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
When I saw a Katy Evans book up on Netgalley for review my trigger finger just couldn’t resist (even though I was getting so much closer to that Nirvana point of 85%). Katy Evans always produces the best romance stories and the best heroes. This is my second adventure with her books- the first being REAL. The title really had my attention – who doesn’t love the thought of A Million Dollars and in this day and age she has capitalised on the reality TV concept…Genius.

Nell -the beautiful but intelligent girl that prefers her own company to that of others. Socially awkward and with more brains than most of us have in our little fingers, she exudes class and poise. Meet Luke, our hero, drop dead gorgeous and the confidence that just falls from him in waves. Both have one thing in common and that is their lack of money. Nell’s father refused to support her through college if she chose not to go to Harvard. Therefore, she has accumulated 500k in student fees. Luke owns his family’s bar – it was his grandfathers’ baby. However, there is several mortgages out on the bar and it has also accumulated a serious amount of debt. Both of them hear about this reality tv show and get through – only one catch….why is it called Million Dollar Marriage. The book is told in dual POV and it reads and flows beautifully. It’s interesting hearing Nells awkward and scared thoughts against contrasting Luke’s uber confidence.

Can the duo complete all the tasks and walk away with the Million dollars? The money is needed by both of them -can they get past their differences and make the short experience work? Will they develop feelings for one another and make a real marriage or will they annul as soon as they possibly can.

I loved both the characters and their arcs were completely perfect. I enjoyed the yang and Yang component of the main characters. Sometimes life throws you a lemon but sometimes darling, you have to make the most fabulous lemonade from next to nothing. You don’t get a dress rehearsal in life, so you just got to lace that fucker up and go with it. Million Dollar Marriage is a fierce romance story with beautifully written broken characters. Your heart beats fast, your stomach clenches. Katy Evans is the master of the Alpha Male. Tack sharp writing as per.

Million Dollar Marriage
by Katy Evans

Another fun and exciting read from Katy Evans!
Million Dollar Marriage is on a league of its own, fun, sexy and all the feels.
Yes, this one was a new twist to the typical type of romance storylines. But it worked, I found myself just falling for the wildly fun antics the story took on and thoroughly enjoyed the enticing journey it led me on.

Million Dollar Marriage by Katy Evans tells the story of Nell, who has tremendous school debt and decides to go on a reality show called Million Dollar Marriage in order to pay off all of her school loans.

She meets Luke who is also in huge debt, with the bar his grandfather left him and caring for his grandmother who is in a nursing home. He had a rough few years when he was younger, living on the streets and using, but has cleaned up his act.

The two get paired on the show and that’s when the fun begins. In all honesty, I don’t normally watch reality television, but I was hooked and completely engrossed with the characters and the plot.

Although we met Luke in Million Dollar Devil, this book can be read as a stand-a-lone. Neither Nell nor Luke have anything in common, but the chemistry between the two is off the charts and you will have to read Million Dollar Marriage to see where the story takes us. I truly adored this book and I didn’t want it to end. I hope we will have the opportunity to re-visit these characters in a future Katy Evan's book.

Good book and liked the story line.

I loved the characters and how they interacted with each other.

You’ll have to read to find out if “fake love” can turn into reals love!

Awesome read! I loved it right from the first chapter. The h/h are perfect. Their chemistry is electric. I seriously couldn't put it down! Katy Evans is a great writer and I'm definitely going to read more of her books.

Nell and Luke's story intrigued me from the start. My daughter watches the Bachelor and Bachelorette religiously so I was curious as to how this game would play out. Would it be more like that or the Amazing Race or something. I loved the game and how these two navigated it and got so close to one another. Their feelings for one another were so real and genuine. I felt like they were thrown into this crazy scenario and got so much out of it. This was a great story that I didn't want to end. I loved Luke and Nell. They truly cared for one another and both grew so much in the story.

Excellence opposites attract. Unique storyline with great characters and so much to love. Taking a chance and giving the one you never thought you’d want a try. The dynamic between Nell and Luke is off the charts and the whole reality show angle is fresh and gloriously addicting.

3.5 Stars

The premise of this story was like several reality shows rolled into a book. Luke and Penny are both in need of money and get persuaded to audition for the next big tv show. They are two very different people so when they are paired together there is alot of friction. I found Luke an engaging character with a true zest for life. When he starts to bring Penny out of her shell I found myself giggling at times. My issue was Penny I just couldn't take to her as a person. I found her personality quite irritating to be honest. For me Luke was my favourite part of the story.

3.75 stars--MILLION DOLLAR MARRIAGE is the second instalment in Katy Evans’ contemporary, adult MILLION DOLLAR erotic, romance series. This is twenty-five year old, Dr. Penelope ‘Nell’ Carpenter PhD, and twenty-eight year old, bar owner Luke Cross’ story line. MILLION DOLLAR MARRIAGE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalment is revealed where necessary. Luke was first introduced in book one Million Dollar Devil.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Nell and Luke) MILLION DOLLAR MARRIAGE follows the reality TV show Million Dollar Marriage where qualifying contestants find themselves married to a complete stranger on day one. Enter twenty-five year old, Dr. Penelope ‘Nell’ Carpenter PhD, and twenty-eight year old, bar owner Luke Cross, who are paired together for their antagonising personalities, contrary discipline, and opposite physical appearances. Nell owes a half-million dollars in student loans, and Luke’s bar is mortgaged for the same amount. Winning the Million Dollar Marriage game would benefit both but falling in love was never on the agenda. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Nell and Luke, and the potential fall-out as perceived betrayal threatens to pull them apart.

MILLION DOLLAR MARRIAGE is a story of opposites attract where a game show similar to ‘Married at First Sight’™ combined with ‘The Amazing Race’™ finds the contestants battling for a one-million dollar prize package. Our heroine, Dr. Penelope Carpenter struggles with her attraction to a man who is her complete opposite, while Luke Cross quickly becomes enamored of our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to YouTube sensation James Rowan (Million Dollar Devil); Luke’s grandmother, as well as a large number of contestants and officials with the reality game show.

MILLION DOLLAR MARRIAGE is a story of ‘battle of wills’, opposites attract, and physical endurance as our couple muse endure a series of obstacles before crossing the finish line. As the contestants slowly succumb to a losing battle, Nell and Luke’s time together forges a stronger bond, leading them towards a happily ever after. The premise is entertaining; the romance is seductive; the characters are colorful and charismatic but it took me awhile to warm up to our story line heroine who struggled to accept Luke as her game show partner.

This book is really good and it has you hooked from start to finish. I absolutely love Luke and Nell. Like Paula Abdul says “ Opposites Attract”. This book had me laughing, and there was Hawt moments too. This book is a must read and I’m not saying anymore. Therefore read it so you can find out how good it is. Thank you Katy Evans for another amazing book.

I don't watch reality TV but these two could convince me! Million Dollar Marriage is the perfect feel good, smiling because you can't stop romance. Everything is hard. As complete opposites, Luke and Nell are definitely not the favored team. These two couldn't be more different. But what none seems to notice is the fighting...not the fighting that everyone sees. No, I'm talking about fighting their attraction.

Million Dollar Marriage is sexy and sweet in all the right ways.

Million Dollar Marriage by Katy Evans is book Two in the Million Dollar Series. This is the story of Luke and Nell. I have read the previous book but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Luke is trying to save his bar and to do so needs money of course. Nell has been a dedicated student working toward finishing school. But now with goal in site she learns of her large student bills she has...so she needs money too. This leads her to a reality show. Luke ends up taking the same route that leads them to meet each other and to be paired up. But can these two opposite people find that maybe they aren't so different.
Enjoyed their story.

Million Dollar Marriage by Katy Evans is book two in her Million Dollar series , a series of standalones. The previous book is Million Dollar Devil.
Penelope Carpenter - Nell - is a woman who is in debt and needs money. Her conclusion? Go on a tv show and marry a starnger for money, a lot of.
Luke wants the money too and that Nell isn't bad to look at makes the deal sweeter. But they seem to have nothing in common, except wanting the prize. Reel turns into real pretty quick.
Million Dollar Marriage is a witty and fun summer read, excellent written and with a couple that kept me on the edge of my seat.
4,5 Stars.

This is book two in a series, but can be read as a standalone.

Luke, a high school dropout, bar owner (he thinks it’s a dump) and good friend of YouTube sensation Jimmy (Book one), needs money pronto.

Penelope (Nell or later Penny) has been going to school for years, always extending her degrees instead of finding a job and paying off her student loan. She needs money to pay it off now.

When they both sign up for a reality tv show “Million Dollar Marriage”, they meet while standing in line and they couldn’t be more opposite, but both find the other intriguing...or not.

When both get picked and are paired up, things start to heat up. Fun games, fights, kisses and getting sh*tfaced bring them to the end, but will they win or lose? And will they both get over their personal issues of not being good enough?

This book was a very fun read, I couldn’t put it down. Will definitely read more by this author!

I received this ebook copy from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.

Million Dollar Marriage is book 2 in a series but can be read as a stand alone. This is Luke and Penny's (or Nell's) story. Luke is the bar owner and friend of Jimmy's from the first book in the series.

I felt the story was original and a fun read. It flowed nicely. I loved Luke and Penny. They try to win a reality TV contest and are made partners in the competition. There was definitely tension, suspense, and passion in Million Dollar Marriage.

Overall, a great read. Not sure if there will be more to this series but I would read another by this author.
