I very much enjoyed this sweet, escapist and lovely novel set in Ireland and with delightful characters. Fun and also thought provoking.
No spoilers but just to say that I absolutely loved the ending!

Absolutely loved this! Feels like I’m wrapped in a cosy blanket.
Loved the characters, the plot, the romance!
A perfect read for winter and can’t wait to read more by Emma Heatherington!

A wonderful story about love, hope, friendship and second chances.
Another lovely book from Emma Heatherington.

Charlie's never forgot Tom, who played with her brother Matthew in a band. Even after she married Jack, the doctor who cared for Matthew after a devastating accident. Can these two come together at last? should they? No spoilers. It's a nice read,

My rating:⭐⭐⭐
I found this book to be quite uncomfortable in places, and I didn't really like Charlotte, or agree with her decisions, so that also made the book hard to read.
I enjoyed (most) of the journey the story takes you on, and the characters, though I feel some of them could have had more depth, such as Sophie.
I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review, so my thanks to NetGalley and to HarperCollins.

I received a digital arc of this from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was my first encounter with this author and although I enjoyed it, I won't be in a rush to read more of her work. It seemed very slow paced for me and I felt it could have lost a hundred pages or so. It definitely seemed to drag a bit, but I have been reading psychological thrillers lately which are very fast paced in comparison! It keeps you wondering whether she will choose Tom or Jack right up to the end.

A cosy and emotional read. The story was though provoking and believable and kept me waiting to see which way she would go. Definitely some parts that were repetitive and could've been mixed up - I found myself glossing over some parts.

Firstly, I'd like to thank NetGalley for the eARC for an honest review. I'm so glad I also got it on Audible to listen along as well.
It's hard to put into words what this book has made me realise. I was rooting for a happily ever after between Tom and Charlie the whole way through until the very end. That ending changed my mind straight away and now I can see that 'what if' can ruin peoples lives.
This book had me laughing at times and then shouting at it at others. I was so eager to see what Charlie's story held. I spent my car journeys listening to this wonderful story and got through it so quickly. This book has really changed the way I see my own life and I couldn't be more grateful to Emma Heatherington for writing such a brilliant book.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves a romance with depth and enjoys a good heart warming twist.

I really enjoyed this book and would read more from this author. May have been first but won't he the last.

I really liked the idea of this book. What could have happened if things were slightly different. The main characters were ok but something just didn’t gel with me. I can’t even say what. I enjoyed reading it but something was off

A new author for me, and I wasn’t disappointed. A lovely, cosy read from start to finish. I will definitely by looking for other titles by Emma.

A very enjoyable book, delving into the ‘what might have been’. I am sure we all have this in our lives, not always with regards to past loves but I would be surprised if we didn’t all have something that we looked back and wondered over. In this story, Charlotte has everything - a wonderful husband, fantastic home and great career - but she can’t help thinking about Tom and what if..... She eventually gets the opportunity to find out, though I’m not going to spoil your enjoyment of reading this book by telling you which way things go!
I would recommend this book and thank Net Galley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read it in exchange for a honest review which is what I have given.

Let me start by saying what a beautiful cover this book has! In fact this was what initially drew me to the story.
Unfortunately, I struggled with this book. I really struggled to get in to it, the story just didn't seem to grip me. It was a nice story just not the festive feel good, I was looking for.

I adored every page of this book. I just wanted to keep on reading and I felt bereft when I finished this book. An absolutely wonderful read.

Anyone who loves a good romance needs to read this book. It's so heartwarming and humorous. It's a story of lost and found! Fab read!

Amazing book that may make you question what you've believed all along about romance.
Emotional story , realistic characters , a brilliant read!

HarperCollins UK, HarperFictionI was given a complimentary copy of this book. Thank you.
All opinions expressed are my own.

I started off absolutely loving this book...it felt like a literary, modern day sliding doors! By half way through, I just became frustrated. The main character really needed a hard wake up call and I felt frustrated, annoyed and dismayed at the character.

This was the first book I've read from this author and it was just okay. It was hard for me to get into and the characters didn't keep my attention.

A tale of love lost and found and really makes for an enjoyable cosy romantic read - a little predictable but doesnt mean I didnt thoroughly enjoy reading it - nice, well rounded characters and a great easy read. Many thanks to netgalley for an arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

A really enjoyable heart-warming read with likeable characters. I'm forever thinking of what-ifs and destiny so found this very relateable.
