I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
It took me a while to finally get around to finishing this book after receiving it. I found the overall plot behind the book interesting - like gossip girl or pretty little liars which I loved both the books and shows for these. I just found the story as a whole to be very slow. I couldn’t find myself connecting with the characters and struggled to reach the end of the book. I did find that the book was well written - I just think it wasn’t for me.
Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.
This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.
I will not be giving feedback on this book as I couldn’t really get into it but I think others may enjoy it.
Omg......... this book was amazing I flew threw the pages with Olympic speed I was hooked from the very first page. I found it full of twists and turns threw out and it kept me on the edge of my seat all the way threw I would defiantly recommend this book if you like a good book to keep you reading threw the night hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did
Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.
After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.
I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.
Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.
This book was fine, just fine. I liked some of the drama, but I guessed the mystery identity and it took me 2 months to finish reading.

i really enjoyed the book, it brought tears to my eyes a few time’s too. rosalie’s situation was awful, however the mystery could’ve been fleshed out a little better

This book reminds me of Pretty Little Liars. Anonymous texts sent to teenagers in an attempt to reveal their biggest secrets. Everyone is hiding something and Private Number seems to know everything.
I didn't really connect with this book in the same way I did with Pretty Little Liars. I struggled to connect to Amanda and Rosalie as characters and didn't find myself that invested in finding out who was behind the messages.

When I saw this title, from Kit Frick, I knew I had to read it. I love her writing style and the way that she writes real characters. This book was no exception.
Incredibly entertaining, it kept you on the edge of your seat. A boy who has everything, who wants for a life of anonymity, a girl with so many expectations from her parents to make them millions and a girl who is pressured by her church to suppress and forget the person she really is. This trio of characters makes for an incredibly read.
It was a good YA suspense book that I enjoyed. I liked the twists and turns, the set up and pace.
The only thing that would be better was character development and motives. Otherwise, really entertaining mystery.
Thanks a lot to Netgalley and the publisher for this copy in exchange for an honest review.
All Eyes On Us focuses on two girls - Amanda and Rosalie - who seem very different, but who have a lot more in common than they realise...Carter Shaw, son of a local businessman.
Amanda is part of his social circle and their families have been pushing for them to be a couple since they were little. Amanda's life is mapped out for her. College with Carter, a long engagement and then children, turning a blind eye to Carter's indiscretions because that's what's expected of her. For years, she's gone along with this but when Amanda starts to receive anonymous text messages she begins to question the wisdom of her life choices.
Amanda knows Carter has not always been faithful to her. She knows he is currently seeing Rosalie on the side. But what neither she nor Carter knows is that Rosalie is actually using Carter as a cover for the fact that she is a lesbian and her fundamentalist Christian parents can't accept her choices. Forced to hide who she is, Rosalie decides to use Carter as her cover, while seeing her girlfriend in secret.
The messages that both girls receive are meant to be vaguely threatening, but there's a limit to what people can do if you don't succumb to their threats. Unfortunately, in the vein of the Pretty Little Liars characters, the girls in this respond to the messages and threats and start to let them rule what decisions they make. This is frustrating and leads them into quite unrealistic scenarios.
The book is a bit slow to get going as we establish the characters of Amanda and Rosalie. There's a lot of focus on the parents of Amanda and Carter which makes little sense at first, but we do realise its significance eventually. My biggest gripe was with the character of Carter who was, in essence, a serial cheater and not a particularly appealing character.
Thanks to NetGalley for the advance copy in exchange for my thoughts.
Compulsive reading, this is an addictive suspenseful psychological thriller like no other.
The plot is unpredictable with lots of twists and turns along with solid engaging characters.
There is also a sense of dread as the story deals with the deep and dark corners of the human psych.
I very much enjoyed this and would recommend it to anyone!
This was a solid YA thriller and I really liked the suspense. I have read a number of YA books and couldn’t guess the ending on this one. So, that’s a plus in my book. I recommend the book for readers of Gossip Girl and Riverdale.
Felt a bit flat and lifeless to me unfortunately because of the characters, I found the writing to be good and it kept m reading but beyond that I can’t really recommend
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
All eyes on us conveys a reality of society. A reality of school life. With a serious, serious twist. Thrilling story of deceit, betrayal and friendship. A friendship that comes out of jealously. A fantastic story. Read, share and read again.
Basic premise is sound enough so it's a shame that the exposition is long-winded & repetitive & the characters feel like cardboard cut-outs. Cover has great shelf appeal but overall there are much better thrillers out there for teen readers.
All Eyes on Us was a compelling read that was impossible to put down and was full of surprises.
Thank you to Simon and Schuster UK children’s and NetGalley for providing an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

From my blog rachaelic.wordpress.com:
''All Eyes On Us is YA and came out on 13th June. It is a kind of thriller that has very similar tones to Pretty Little Liars and Riverdale, so if you like that kind of thing then you're certain to love this book.
I love YA because it is so easy to read and I found this book very captivating. We follow two main characters who are both being plagued by a anonymous caller. With some shocking twists, this book very was gripping and I really enjoyed it. It also has some LGBT representation which is great for young readers."
Amanda and Carter are the 'golden couple' amongst their classmates, however, things aren't as perfect as they look. Seems Carter has a bad habit of cheating and his current 'side chick' is Rosalie, however, Rosalie is using Carter as a 'beard' to placate her fundamentalist parents. With me, so far? Both Amanda and Rosalie receive anonymous texts which threaten to reveal their secrets.
When I first started reading this I thought it would be a DNF. I understand why Rosalie did it, the fear of what would happen at home if her parents found out she had a girlfriend, but to deliberately continue to hurt another girl by even fake-seeing her boyfriend felt wrong. I persevered though and it actually turned out to be a good read which had one or two surprises by the end.
Thanks to NetGalley and publishers, Simon & Schuster UK Children's, for the opportunity to read an ARC.
I haven't picked up a Kit Frick book before now but the premise of this really intrigued me and I'll definitely be checking out more of their work in future.
This follows dual perspectives from both Amanda and Rosalie, girls who are involved with a boy called Carter. The girls start receiving anonymous messages with threats and its clear the girls are being watched. The girls are desperate to find out who 'Private' is before its too late...
The way this is written really makes it a quick and easy read. I will say that for the first maybe 40% of the book I felt it was lacking in feeling a little. Very much a tell but not show vibe but it improved as the story went on. I honestly preferred the character of Rosalie, the struggles her character faces were so real and jarring and her motives felt clear and understandable.
Now, I read a lot of mysteries and I always love to be someone who figures out the whodunnit element and I kind of feel let down by this reveal. When I started this book I honestly said to my husband "I bet its soandso because they're who you least expect." and it totally was. The reveal was handled well I think, there were lots of red herrings so that even when one character is certain another is doubting so you doubt with them so I enjoyed that. After that however, the ending happened so fast, the scene escalated so quickly that it felt really unbelievable for me.

Amanda was just to stereotyped for me. Throughout the majority of the story she states that shes with Carter because she loves him and everyone knows because their families are well off they're meant to be together. She comes to the realisation almost too late in my opinion that she doesn't actually love him and that just made it difficult for me to like her as much personally.
One thing that I'm annoyed about with this is when Rosalie is waiting at Amanda's house, she repeatedly calls the PI to no avail while he follows her girlfriend. Why do we never find out why? Its almost like the PI is just completely forgotten about, and yes while I understand that he didn't solve the case he was still involved. Like, tie up that lose end next time please.

Overall I think this was enjoyable and at times I couldn't put it down.
