this one was actually more interesting the others. I enjoyed the H, he was a romantic at heart. the h was fun with the bantering between the two. I enjoyed her as well. I finally feel like this series is looking up.
Thaddeus Middleton is hunting for a wife and is drawn to Miss Priscilla Weatherby ; however she is determined to stay single for her fortune. The fates changes both of their directions in life to create a page turning tale of love and romance.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
This whole series was great. Despite switching back and forth between authors it manages to keep a consistent tone and characterization level.
I enjoyed this quite a bit! We follow Thad and Priscilla. He just wants to find the love of his life, she just wants adventure.
I thought that it was so refreshing to have such a romantic hero. I found him to be so adorable and charming, and I loved the contrast with him and the heroine. She was so determined and had such a lust for adventure I really admired. I enjoyed the way their relationship came together and the direct of the plot. I also really loved the inclusion of the animals, it was such a cute addition to the story!
Overall, a very quick and cute and fun read!
I liked this one a lot. The grandmother was spunky or should I say feisty. Poor Priscilla's Dad and Granddad are terribly neglectful and selfish. She grew up abandoned and lonely. Both her and her grandmother were abandoned. Thaddeus needed someone to love and Priscilla needed to be loved. They both needed attention and companionship. Priscilla wanted adventure without restriction. In months she'd have her inheritance and freedom as long as she stayed single, but will she? I highly recommend this book. I think, this is my third read by Ms. Ridley and it definitely won't be my last. Her books are angsty and entertaining. I enjoy her plots and characters.

Thank you to WebMotion for the eARC of this book.
I was a little let down with this book, I found it too wordy, I know you might think that that just does not make sense since it is a book, however once you start reading it you will know what I am talking about, we have Priscilla who longs to go on an adventure so she does her utmost to prove herself a wallflower, she stays on the outskirts at parties, dances with only the ones she knows have no interest in her since she is trying to get to her 25 birthday and getting her allowance and joining her father and grandfather. Thad is supposedly charming, super nice guy, not titled and seems to be a stepping stone for others to meet those who are titled however he does notice Priscilla and he wants to meet her and he finds that she has the spark that he has been looking for. Seems interesting right? The problem for me was it was a little too descriptive, again to wordy so it kept losing my interest had it lost about half of the words I would have liked more.
“One Night of Passion” is the third book in the series “Wicked Dukes Club” by Erica Ridley.
This is the second book I’ve read from the author. I really enjoy her style of writing, and the easy flow of reading.
Thaddeus Middleton was introduced in book one of the series (and I’m certain possibly in book two as well). He does not have a title, nor is he rich. This does not tie him down to marriage of convenience, and instead allows him to freely seek out true love.
In walks Priscilla, who is not looking to be settled down. She wants to travel, go on adventures and be financially independent. All throughout her life she has dreamed of joining her father on his trips and adventures.
Having a man in her life will hinder her and, as promised by her father, if she is to remain unmarried by a particular age, she will inherit a large enough trust fund to allow her own independence. She is not willing to risk her inheritance.
However Thad is determined to befriend Priscilla. She soon realizes that her life long dream is not her own but a deeper connection to being left behind by her father. Her next big adventure is not across the oceans but right in front of her, with Thad by her side.
Star rating: 4

Another successful book by Erica Ridley. She never fails to please. This book was a quick, enjoyable and easy read: enough to satisfy anyone’s appetite for a tale of regency romance.
Pretty typical romance, not too bad, though it was quite slow and it wasn't where I was particularly inspired by the characters to continue reading to find out what happens.
I loved this book. Loved the characters and how they found love together. Loved the writing, did very we'll keeping to the time period. enjoyed the book.
A lovely read with two very different characters but so good together.
I enjoyed this book, with all the ups and downs coming from a family in the high society and the demands that come along with that. The fact that our heroine is always helping everyone, but also stands for what she wants is a great point from me as i got tired of the damsels in distress in need of saving all the time.
Thad is a gentleman, a romantic at the core and so much a swoon-worthy hero that everyone will love him. He's on a hunt for a wife but finds a woman that he'll fall in love head over heels with her.
Overall is a good story, great writing that will keep you wanting more and will definitely recommend this book to my friends.
“One Night of Passion,” book 3 of the Wicked Dukes Series by Erica Ridley and Darcy Burke finds Thaddeus Middleton, a gentleman who is just a “Mister and no title,” a mantra which will be repeated several times in the book.
Having a “Mister” as a hero is refreshing and quite frankly, I like it. It’s because Regency romances usually revolves around a titled gentleman. Yet, with thousands of books printed in this genre, one wonders how many there in the peerage are.
Moving on…
Thaddeus Middleton is a likeable fellow. He is not poor, but he is not rich either. In today’s society, he would be one of the trust fund kids but that trust would not be so large that he could live extravagantly.
Enter Priscilla Weatherby whose family is rich that her trust was a fortune. Problem is that she could not inherit if she got married because that trust was not her dowry. And she needed that money so that she could go on her adventure, a dream she had since she was a child.
Thaddeus wants to fall in love and be loved because of himself, not because of money. Priscilla did not want to fall in love because she wanted to be free of the constraints of London’s polite society.
But, fall in love they did. So, now the two were at a crossroads – consummate their love or say goodbye forever.
Another sweet and easy read from Erica Ridley, “One Night of Passion” delves not only in romantic love but also familial love. It is also about loving oneself enough to find true love or loving oneself to distraction that the person had become self-centered that they forget everyone around them.
Short of calling the story a fable, if you read between the line, “One Night of Passion” also teaches a lesson. The book is Rated T for Teens.
I absolutely loved this book. This series, written by Erica Ridley and Darcy Burke is wonderful.
Many of us have dreams or wishes. We develop these, often, in our youth. When your life leads you one way and your dreams lead you another way. Which way would you choose?
Erica Ridley uses this premise with the characters in the book.
Priscilla Weatherby has a plan, and that plan is to remain unattached.
Thaddeus Middleton wants to get married. He falls in love with Pricilla Weatherby,
Can Thaddeus overcome Pricilla's plan, or will he learn to let her go?
Book three in the Wicked Dukes Club series a well written story that I was not putting down until I had finished reading. Miss Priscilla Weatherby and Thaddeus Middleton will have so much to go through before they get their happy ending I did find myself smiling at some of the things in the book. I received an Arc copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
Erica Ridley always delivers. A fab read with lots to keep you interested.
I received this ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
Mister Thaddeus Middleton, not a peer just a mister but he did not mind it. He was a sweet, kind and friendly man who just wanted love for himself. Now he had to find the other half, someone he could love.
Miss Priscilla Weatherby, was not looking for love or any of the other things young girls so enjoy. She wanted the inheritance that her father had set up for her. She could take that money and go find her father and grandfather. They were off adventuring and had been for years.
A delightful and kind of sad tale, Priscilla was lonely and felt unloved. She lived with her grandmother, who was bitter and old because her husband had gone adventuring and the last time she had seen him was fourteen years ago. I thought this was very well written and I enjoy it. There were a few twists but it kept the story interesting and maintained your attention. It has a few questionable spots in the book so you don't want young people to read it. But for everyone else, it is a great read. The characters were warm and lifelike and seemed to grow throughout the novel.
This story is part of an ongoing series, but stands well alone. Our H, Thaddeus has decided to seek a wife, but he wants someone who will truly love HIM, not his wealth. He falls madly in love with Priscilla, but she wants nothing to do with marriage. She is biding her time until she comes to her majority and can gain access to the funds her father set aside for her dowry, at which time she will seek out her father and grandfather as they adventure throughout the world. It’s been her goal throughout her life to join them in their adventures, and she has no intention of falling in love and marrying anyone.
Needless to say, they do fall in love, but she wants to pursue her dreams. Then her father returns, what will she do?
I received a free arc in exchange for an honest review.
Ms Ridley has done it again.... This book is a lively romp full of lovable characters (hello Koffi & Wednesday!), an intriguing plot and a very satisfying character development and ending. Who doesn't love an Erica Ridley book??
I loved the adventure this book took me on! A surprise twist of fate that could not have been any better for the ending. My heart is soaring after reading this! The soirées doesn’t get any better. Book provided by NetGalley.
The men in the family were certainly distant and rather awful! Grandma was not endearing either. Our main character dreams of following in the footsteps of her dad and grandfather. Then she meets Thad. What if she gives up her dreams for a relationship? I thought this was a good story with a nice ending.
