One Night of Scandal is Viola’s romance. We fell in love with Viola, while her brother, the Duke of Eastleigh, fell in love with Isabella in One Night of Surrender, second in the Wicked Duke’s series. Viola masquerades as a male journalist, Tavistock, in order to gather information for her articles in a women’s magazine, which only hires men!

This book can be read as a stand alone, but I am enjoying reading the series in order. In ‘Surrender,’ Viola dressed Isabella and herself as men so they could visit Eastleigh’s club secretly. Viola is continuing that masquerade even though her love interest, Jack Barrett, has figured her out. He seems to believe he can protect her by helping her in her quest to investigate the London riots and the attempt on the Prince’s life. In the middle of their investigation, Jack finds himself as the accused who is causing the trouble.

Jack is quite the gentleman making sure Viola is protected and keeping her secret from her brother. Although Eastleigh knows she dresses as a man and comes to his club, he does not know she goes to other clubs and places dressed as a man. With the accusation against Jack the mystery deepens and these two fall in love along with the investigation.

Jack is such a gentleman that he did not listen to the gossip about Viola's previous scandal. He did not even know about it, but yet, he still strives to protect her. He seems more worried about her reputation the she.

I am thoroughly enjoying this series. It is interesting, witty, and different as it is written by two amazing writers with the same characters. Plus they are releasing these books quickly.

I have been amused by this series. Viola has been one of my favorite characters throughout. Even though I knew she was getting her own story I was surprised still by it. I liked it that much.

ARC Kindle Copy for Review from NetGalley and Darcy Burke Publishing

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

A Lady is caught sneaking into a private men’s club in disguise by a member of parliament in order to write an article for a woman’s magazine. He finds himself charmed by her as he protects her honour despite she holds information that can destroy his career.

Wanting to prove her journalist credentials, she finds herself thrown into his company. Both soon will be enamored with each other company as they may be forced to wed to save her reputation. Will it be for love or a forced marriage?

Nothing quite a headstrong female taming a wicked duke.
