A brilliant book. The first half sets the scene for what it is like living with someone with a drink problem, the second half is the consequences of how not being truthful with your nearest and dearest can lead to all sorts of misconceptions and life changing problems. I cannot recommend this book highly enough – I was addicted to it.

Lies lies lies
Gripping and chilling.
The story is told from two points of view, Daisy and her husband Simon.
Their marriage has been deteriorating for some time due to his drinking. However one piece of unwelcome news relayed to him by a doctor causes him to spiral out of control.
Both Daisy and Simon were besotted with their beautiful little girl Millie and when tragedy happens it understandably tears this family apart. I know that I couldn’t live with myself if this had happened to me.
Daisy has a close group of friends that she’d had since university and there were complicated relationships with some of those. I’m a grudge holder personally so I was totally with Daisy on what she thought of Lucy after she had an affair with her brother in law.
However it was interesting to see how the dynamics of the friendship group altered as the story progressed.
The story has many upsetting themes which are shocking, gritty and hard hitting.
The writing was very eloquent with each word carefully placed for maximum effect. Just when i thought i knew what had happened I had the rug pulled from under me. The story was full of twists and turns and I think that what happens in the end was absolutely deserved and satisfying.
I thoroughly recommend this book as I couldn’t put it down, even though I read it through gritted teeth.

I'd forgotten the author's clever skill that enables you to engage with the main characters from the very first chapter. You meet Daisy and Simon who are married and have their lovely daughter and life is ok however you discover that there is layers of lies. The lies we tell ourselves, the lies in our marriage, the lies we tell our friends and family. Eventually the layer of lies all fall away to reveal what is left behind.
I immenesley enjoyed this book and I was still thinking about it a day later thinking about which lie shocked me the most.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have ambivalent feelings about this book. I enjoyed the twists and turns in the story and the sensitive way in which alcoholism and rape were dealt with.. However, I couldn't seem to connect with the characters and I found the actual ending really strange and unnecessary. On the whole I would say I enjoyed it but probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
Thank you Netgalley and Adele Parks for giving me the opportunity to review this book.

After years together, the arrival of longed-for daughter Millie sealed everything in place. A happy little family of three.
And so what if Simon drinks a bit too much sometimes, Daisy’s used to it, she knows he’s letting off steam. Until one night at a party things spiral horribly out of control. And that happy little family of three will never be the same again.
In Lies Lies Lies Adele Parks explores the darkest corners of a relationship in freefall in a mesmerising tale of marriage and secrets.
With themes of alcoholism and sexual violence, this book was at times difficult to read. It was, nevertheless a compelling read, leaving you always wanting to know more and wondering what the hell might happen next.
As the title suggests much of the story involving this little family is based on lies. Not always deliberate bare faced lies, not lies intended to deceive but to save on heartache and hurt. The trouble is most of the lies backfire and end up causing far more hurt and pain than they were ever trying to hide.
I'm not going to say any more about the story, there are many twists to it, some I guessed and some I didn't.
Many thanks to NetGalley and HQ Fiction for an advance copy in return for a fair and honest review

I really enjoyed this book. Daisy and Simon are married with a young daughter, Millie. When Simon discovers that he probably isn't Millie's biological father, things start to spiral out of control. Simon's drink problem is exacerbated and Daisy struggles to cope. Things come to a head with a horrible accident. This is a story of addiction, control and the danger of keeping big secrets. I recommend this as a great read. Thanks to NetGalley for a preview copy.
Copied to Goodreads.

This is a book about alcoholism, lies, deceit and bullying ,quite a heavy read !The story was good though none of the main characters were likeable ,the story was fast paced but the ending was quite shocking and made me feel a bit queasy .Many Thanks to The Publisher the Author and NetGalley for my review copy in exchange for an honest review .

Fantastic read. I really really enjoyed this and was hooked so I couldn’t put it down! Brilliant writing and story telling, no one had dinner the day I started reading!

This book was a very interesting read - I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a story from the perspective of two parents after a car accident. Alcoholic addiction and secrets leads to a lot of twist and turns that I did not see coming. Would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of mystery.

This kept me up late as I had to know how it ended-I read it in a day! It's a realistic portrait of a marriage with all its ups and downs, and although it's devastatingly sad it's ultimately uplifting, and says a lot about the power of love to overcome even the most awful experiences.
Daisy and Simon have a reasonably happy marriage and love their little, daughter Millie dearly. However,Simon's drinking gets out of hand when he suspects Daisy of having an affair and this leads to events which threaten to destroy their marriage.
The characters are beautifully drawn ,and I really cared what happened to them, and genuinely wanted things to work out for them.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC in return for an honest review which reflects my own opinion.

Lies Lies Lies is another good thriller from Adele Parks which touches on some disturbing subjects.Daisy and Simon seem to have a perfect marriage with a lovely daughter Millie and also a close knit circle of friends, the story is told from the perspective of Daisy and Simon.Simon would like another child but what he discovers at the fertility clinic rocks his world and his and Daisy's life won't ever be the same again as Simon's life spirals out of control as he becomes an alcoholic and the lies that are brought to the fore continue to wreak havoc for them both.It is a well written thriller as all of Adele Parks' books are but i just thought this book seemed to drag a little in the middle before all the lies are opened towards the end,but still a great 4 star read i would certainly recommend to fans of this genre.

Fabulous book, so much going on but not too complicated that I couldnt follow it, Really enjoyed the story and the characters. I felt the ending was a bit weird though, what she did in the bathroom, I really cant see anyone doing that and I felt that this let the book down a bit which was a shame.

I'm slightly torn with this one. I adore Adele Parks so was excited to recieve an early copy but I'll admit it's not my favourite one by Adele.
Even though at times I was completely engrossed at other times I felt it was plodding along and a bit drawn out.
The storyline was brilliant with a totally unexpected ending BUT I felt it ended rather abruptly.
A great novel full if lies and deceit, twists and turns, shocking revelations, friendships and hard truths. Tackling the subjects of IVF, alcoholism, rape & abuse.
It would have been a 5* if it was not for the rather disappointing ending.
Big thanks to netgalley and HQ for the ARC.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book by Adele Parks. She writes with incredible insight about life with an alcoholic, it seems so real and so devastatiingly heartbreaking. There are several sub themes running in this story of the life of Daisy and Simon and alternating chapters are written from each of their perspectives. They are the parents of a beautiful daughter and their lives are changed forever when she is hit by a car.
There are views of life in a prison, of trying to keep going for the sake of their daughter, of an abusive and manipulative lover. The sadness and despair caused to a couple desparate and failing to have a child. Several times the book turned my assumptions on their heads and there were several surprising revelations as the book progressed. I loved it.

Wow the ending was totally unexpected!
This book tells the tale of daisy and Simon a couple who are desperate to have children, the stress and turmoil in their lives as they undergo tests and fertility treatment over many years! Finally they end up with a beautiful daughter Millie but the process has taken its toll on themselves and there relationship, Simon has taken to drinking and they feel themselves drifting apart! A startling revelation at the infertility clinic changes their lives forever in ways that you couldn’t imagine, a story line that keeps you guessing with unexpected twists and turns, a great read thought provoking and intriguing from start to finish! Would highly recommend!
Thank you net galley for this advance copy

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was well written and a thrilling roller coaster of a story. I highly recommend you read it!

An enjoyable read but I have to admit it's not my favourite by this author. I found it difficult to connect with the characters and the story seemed to plod on a bit.

I love the way Adele Parks writes and always look forward to her books. Lies, lies, lies does not disappoint.
We follow Daisy and her husband Simon, their daughter, Millie and their friends. Simon has a major addiction to alcohol which leads to trouble. Daisy has a secret which also leads to trouble.
The twists and turns in the plot left me breathless and with a lot to think of. It’s that rare kind of book where I miss the characters now I’ve finished reading.

I enjoyed the first part of the book then it was a bit drawn out, it didn’t hold my attention had to force myself to read it, it could have been better.

Wow this book is breathtakingly beautiful and horrific at the same time. I loved the story and the characters and love the way this author brings us into a story thinking one way and then completely changing our view in the next breath. Loved it and the ending was great.
