More than just an adventure, not quite a mystery. The plot in this book is simple enough for a young reader to follow but not so obvious or saccharine as to become obnoxious for an adult reading along. A touch of toilet humor but nothing over the top. I like that while there is a clear "bad guy" it's never an irredeemable character. the villain can be made to see the error of his ways and redirect his efforts to a positive endeavor. ANd the heroes never play dirty. They hold to their moral and business standards even if it means they could lose.
