YESSSS! After 3 chapters in, I already added book 2 to my tbr! Thankfully we don't have to wait that long! Its been a few since I've read K's books and this might be her best yet! I will say that while this story is predictable, the story moved at an intense pace that I really enjoyed the story. Superstar narrators Erin and Jason were perfect! I highly recommend this on audio.

Vaughn is a Madam when this book opens but as it starts to flow you find out that she is so much more. When Ryker uses her service for his needs and Vaughn has to step in for one of the women she manages they both start to break down walls. Vaughn has memories from her past that have been haunting her. Ryker has commitment and power issues that are challenged by Vaughn. I was a little hesitant at the beginning of the story but as it went along I was dragged further and further into the complex coupling of Vaughn and Ryker. There are content warnings for sexual abuse, drugs, and suicide discussed within the story. I can't wait to get the conclusion because that ending left me reeling!

I love K. Bromberg’s books and really enjoyed this one. I normally wouldn’t have picked this one up based off the description alone. I wasn’t sure it would be very romantic but I just trusted the author would deliver a good love story and she did. Vaughn and Ryker were explosive together and their story gave me all the feels! There is a cliffhanger ending, so be warned. I’ll be devouring the next book as soon as it releases in September to finish Vaughn and Ryker’s story. I recommend RESIST for romance lovers looking for a hot and steamy love story with some angst.

Yes! So much yesss!! Resist was so good. Addicting! Sexy! Unputdownable! I loved this book!! K. Bromberg definitely brought the drama along with the heat.

Vaughn and Ryker have an insanely hot, emotionally deep and at times utterly frustrating connection. There were moments where I couldn't decide if I liked them together or not. Their push and pull was so maddeningly delicious. As individuals, you saw some real character growth. I especially enjoyed seeing Ryker fall from then domineering, cold alpha to a swoony, downright sexy hero.

When everything is going perfectly, K. Bromberg manages to pull the rug out from under us. Leaving us with a crazy cliffhanger and a whole lot of questions.

If you're fan of this author's previous work, then I have no doubts that you'll love Resist. This story gave me those same feelings I had while reading the Driven series. That page flipping, desperate to know what happens feeling. And I love that feeling. I cant wait to get my hands on book 2.

4.5 Stars for Resist, book 1 in the Wicked Ways Duet. This book was everything I have come to expect from this very talented author but I do have to warn you this is a Duet so be prepared for the ending.
This book captivated me from the first page to the very last line and I loved Ryker Lockhart and Vaughn Sanders and I’m sure you will too. I really don’t want to give to much of this story away because I think you need to read Resist with no preconceived ideas you need to read it first hand to get the most out of this emotional intense read. This author always gives us strong characters and this book is no exception, it’s a book that will leave you wanting more it will leave wanting answers now !! I can’t wait for a Reveal I need to know if Ryker can redeem himself.....

This is the first book I have read by this author, and I was definitely not disappointed. I will certainly look into reading more books by this author, this book is very well written, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and look forward to reading the second in this series. 4.5 Stars

This is the first book in the the Wicked Ways duet, and the story of Ryker, and Vaughn. Ryker is a divorce attorney, choosing only to represent men. Vaughn has many secrets, and a past she would like to keep hidden. Unable to resist each other, or their feelings, they have a tormented relationship, with each not totally being honest. This book was an amazing read, the characters are well written, and have great chemistry, this book is intense, suspenseful, emotional, passionate, and steamy, a must read.

I need more! NOOOOO! The ending killed me!!! Yeah those were my words when I reached the end of Resist. LIKE WTF JUST HAPPENED? I was on cloud nine and then pop! The bubble burst.

Resist had me wanting these characters find their person. I was hoping and willing for the hero to take the leap. I was elated towards the middle through almost the end. I thought that these two characters were a force to be reckon. And they so were!

This story ripped me apart. I am asking for another chance to understand what we are faced with. One moment it was paradise and the next a tsunami hit. I can't wrap my head around it and I LOVE THAT! I need a book to consume you and keep you on your toes. Resist is perfect! You will be left with a cliffy, but it will keep you on the edge on your seat. I need book two like yesterday. A MUST READ!

Vaughn is the successful owner of a business that caters to the needs of wealthy men. She has worked hard to get to where she is, and she needs to remain focused and not let anything distract her from her goals. When she agrees to fill in for one of her employees so she doesn’t have a disappointed client her life will never be the same.

Ryder is a successful divorce attorney who has no problem using whatever means are necessary to achieve his goals. He has decided that he wants Vaughn and isn’t afraid to expose her secrets to get what he wants.

A battle ensues between the two as Vaughn is determined to leave her past and secrets where they are while Ryder is intrigued by her and wants to know everything about her. They are complete opposites as Vaughn comes across as confident but that couldn’t be farther from the truth while Ryder is determined to keep his emotions under lock and key which makes him appear cold.

The rollercoaster of their relationship escalates into a cliffhanger that leaves us wondering what the future has in store for this couple. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

It's a duet so have that in mind for the end. This story between Ryker and Vaughn is amazing. It got me reading page after page and didn't let me go. I am a fan of K Bromberg writing, there is sass in her characters as well as great chemistry. Ryker is a guy with some issues but this time Vaughn is the one trying to overcome hers. I can't wait for the next book, K Bromberg has done it again, she has kept me on the edge and left me wanting more. Next book can't come quick enough!

K Bromberg brings us yet another fantastic book. But, to be honest, it's beyond fantastic - it's INCREDIBLE!! I didn't think I could love anything more than her Driven series – but Resist proved me wrong – you just HAVE to read it!

Vaughn Sanders was never supposed to meet Ryker Lockhart - they only ever spoke over the telephone - but certain circumstances brought them together, and everything was going well until memories from Vaughn's past reared their ugly head.

Who doesn't love a new series of characters and these characters certainly have some undeniable chemistry. They are sexy, fun and angsty while trying to fight the feelings they are having.

Vaughn is the owner of Wicked Ways an escort service. She is running this business secretly on the side, she hopes to make enough money to pay off her debts so she can raise her niece who is in Foster care. She is tough and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. When Ryker Lockhart a very successful divorce attorney contacts the service looking for a particular girl who is unavailable Vaughn must come up with another girl so she does not loose the business.

Ryker being a strong attorney knows what he wants and how he wants it. When he meets Saxony she draws him in right away. Ryker is all business, ruthless and demanding but there is also something about him that is captivating. Ryker is only looking for a night of fun and companionship he does not need the complications beyond that, but he finds himself constantly thinking of Saxony after that night.

Will Ryker continue the chase? What will happen when Vaughn's secrets are revealed?

What???? That is a pretty big cliffhanger and I need the next installment very damn quickly. I am so excited to see what happens next. Author stalking |I go so I don't miss it.

GAH!! This book had ALL THE FEELS! I was quickly lost in Vaughn and Ryker's worlds. Vaughn is the most independent woman and is working on helping her family. She does what needs to be done in order to make things happen. While her path isn't conventional, it helps her get to her goal. Ryker is not a man to mess with. He takes no crap from anyone. He knows what he wants and he goes after it. Vaughn throws him for a loop! I LOVED the banter between these two. The chemistry is SMOKING HOT! And Vaughn knows better than to trust a man like him. But Ryker wants to be the man for Vaughn. He's never felt this way towards another woman and he has to figure out how to make her trust him. THIS BOOK IS SO GREAT! The twists and turns keep coming and I will say, if you don't like cliffhangers, wait until the next book is available. Cliffy and all, I LOVED this book and can't stop thinking about it. I need to know what's next!!

Bromberg knows how to bring the drama! Ryker and Vaughn really do resist each other, making the story full of tension and angst. The cliffhanger is an unusual one. It’ll be interesting to see how the conflict is resolved.

OMG. I need recovery from this book. How the heck does K Bromberg do it?! I swear every novel pulls me in completely and grips my heart with such a force I can barely breathe. I am so excited for this series. Talk about chemistry! These two characters, Ryker & Vaughn, are what romance readers are craving in a great read. This book pulls you in, keep you there, makes you experience every word and then when the end of the book comes you are craving more. And with this book you will be needing more. In true Bromberg fashion she leaves us itching for the next book. I can't wait. You need to experience this book now. And yes I know I am not giving many details from the story. That's on purpose. I don't want to spoil any of it. I will say get ready for a story with drama, raw emotion, secrets, romance and so much more. After you read it contact me, let's obsess together!

Oh wow wow! This had me clearing my throat and hot around the collar in a good way. I loved Vaughn’s strength and vulnerability and Ryker’s dirtiness and complexity. It kept me reading and wondering what will happen next. I need book 3 but will bask in the glory that is book 1.

I’m going to come back and give this another try someday. I did not love it or hate it. I just wasn’t vibing with it. The heroine as a madam set an aggressive start that I wasn’t prepared for. I think I could possibly enjoy it more if I was in the right mood. I feel like these days I’m more of a mood reading. I just can’t read and enjoy anything anytime.

At first I thought this book was going at a super slow pace and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to really get into it. But my gosh was I wrong. This book will bring you up with the sexual chemistry between the main characters and then bring you down with their troubles, but then bring you back up before you go down again. RESIST is filled with the longing of getting to you goal while starting out at such a low spot in life, and not letting anything come in between you and that goal. For our main heroine Vaughn, her goal is to gain full custody of her late sisters daughter who has special needs, not just because the girls father is a drunk druggie, and not just because that was what her sister wanted, but because she genuinely loves that little girl with all her heart and would do absolutely anything to keep her. Even working two jobs: a waitress at a gentleman's club, and as a Madam for an escort service. 
But when she has to fill in for one of her girls (which she never does), is when she meets the handsomely, bossy, man named Ryker Lockhart.
Ryker is known for getting his way in & outside of the courtroom as a Divorce Lawyer, where he only represents the husband in the divorce, never the wife. 
So when the girl he picked out for his escort isn't able to make the appointment and he gets someone else entirely, he expects to get the same treatment as the first girl would have. He just did not expect to figure out later that the same girl who was his fill in just happened to be the Madam of the escort service- and a waitress at gentleman's club. 
He also doesn't expect to start falling for her. 
Towards the end of the book when they both come to realization that they have fallen for each other, all of a sudden something happens and Vaughn's view and feelings for Ryker are shattered, and you want nothing more than to just punch him in the face repeatedly. 
CLIFFHANGER. 
This book has a major cliffhanger but it totally works and I'm not even mad about it because this book was just that good and I can't wait for book 2!

Vaughn is well known in her world and very powerful. However, only a few people knows her true identity. She has reasons for every step she takes in her life, and her end goal is precious.

Ryker is a broody, divorce attorney who doesn’t have time for relationships or outside distractions. He is cut throat and is willing to do whatever it takes to help his clients win their case.

These two together had such a fun relationship. Their banter and battle of power had me smiling the whole time. They both were trying to prove that they didn’t need each other, and they were trying to convince themselves that they didn’t need a real relationship complicating their lives.

And my oh my... that ending. It does end on a cliffhanger that will leave you speechless. I’m pretty sure my jaw hit the floor. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2 because generic “I’m sorry” isn’t going to cut it.
