I loved tumble the first book but wow this book was even better!
I think for me this is now one of my favourite Adrianna books. I have a couple but this is up with my favourite swink and Crank!
Hayley is so funny and Trevor wow I love him! There relationship was so natural and funny. I loved how they all came around and I want more stories for Penn, Matt and Claire. I love for them all to get stories as I think without them it will make the series incomplete!
I loved that it didn’t take long for Trevor to figure things out and I loved that Hayley was strong and knew her worth! Both strong characters and sweet. They deserved each other and I loved the ending.
I thought the first book, Tumble, was a decent small town second chance novel, but I feel like Tangle is a GREAT small town love story. Although I honestly found Haley to be annoying at times (seriously stop throwing straight up temper tantrums over donuts, you are an adult) I still appreciated her feistiness and hopefulness for the future. I quite enjoyed Trevor even when I was wondering why he was attracted to an adult woman who was throwing a temper tantrum in public over a donut. He was honest and reliable, even as he was warning her away. It was sweet, sexy, and enjoyable. I can’t wait for Penn’s story!
I liked this book it was funny and sexy. I liked that one was a romantic while the other was not. These two were on opposite sides of love. I had so much fun watching them fall in love. What a great read, I really enjoy when I can laugh and swoon during a book.
Omg could this book be any better? I thought Tumble was amazing? Well it was but I’m so in love with Trevor and Haley.
How adorably sweet this book was. The flirty banter was too cute, the contract cracked me up. They had their hilarious moments for sure. these two had some serious sparks flying and it was such a slow beautiful burn. I loved everything about this book. I’m loving this series and these characters. So much heart. Loving this small town, I wish I could just go for a walk on Dogwood lane and meet up with Clair and Haley.
This book doesn’t lack anything, the writing, the storytelling, the characters, it’s all there and it couldn’t be any better. I’m just gushing over these books. I can’t wait for Penn’s book.
Sweet romance following Haley Raynor, an idealistic romantic, who is in love with love, as she tries desperately not to fall in love with Trevor Kelly, a self confessed commitment phobe who thinks there is no such thing as true love. They meet, they feel the mutual attraction, and they leave well alone. Not for long though. A contract on a napkin sees to that. Wonderful words, beautifully written, a story that’s funny and sexy, two people made for each other, and a super cute, successful, sexy book boyfriend who can’t see the wood for the trees. I loved it, it was entertaining, addictive, a light easy read, perfect for the beach. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
This is my first time reading a book by this author! But it will not be my last I loved this book so much can I give it 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I loved Haley and Trevor so much!! I can’t believe this romance began over a doughnut and a contract to not fall in love but end up in love so good
I loved this book. I loved watching Haley grow into herself and figure out what she wants from life. Haley had one of the best character developments I have seen in a book in a long time. I also loved seeing Trevor deal with the two sides of himself on the stance of falling in love, it was written so truthfully. I loved the angst and humor in Trevor and Haley's relationship, but watching their relationship grow was amazing. Overall I loved this book and I'm so excited for the next book in the series.
Oh how do I put into words my love for this book? I was expecting to really enjoy this book because hello Adriana Locke, she's one of all time favorite authors! Instead I am blown away!!! It started with a doughnut, the one Haley wanted but Trevor had. That's when we see how feisty and sassy Haley is. She is awesome! Trevor, never gonna settle down, doesn't believe in love, Trevor. He doesn't know what hit him. It was an absolute joy to watch their story unfold. Get ready to laugh, maybe get a little teary, and you will definitely swoon.
Trevor Kelly is the ultimate anti love specimen, watching him unfold and grow and fall in love was so amazing!!!! This book is worth so many more than 5 stars! Adriana Locke brings her A game, as usual, with this Amazing second installment of the Dogwood Lane series!!!!
In my opinion, you should absolutely hurry to your preferable book retailer and indulge in this beauty. Reading the back and forth between Trevor and Haley, is witty, fun and will keep you up wanting more!!! Hurry, go get it, you can thank me later 😉
Gahhhh I love Haley and Trevor! I'm a huge fan of Ms Locke. Love how she took is back to Dogwood Lane.
Can't wait for more. Thanks Netgalley for the Arc
Omg if I thought I loved tumble .... tangle takes the cake! Adriana Locke has outdone herself again!
It’s easy to get sucked in to all that is Haley and Trevor. Their chemistry is instantaneous. You can feel the heat through the pages. Haley has been burned before and tells Her cousin Dane she is on s dating hiatus . Little did she know she would meet the tempting Trevor. Trevor has been burned before especially by his mom.
Sparks fly but the put rules into place to keep from crossing the line... but how long can that last?
I am a huge Locke lover, this book is all you expect and more.... it’s a must read,!!!!!!
ARC Kindle Copy for Review from Net Galley and Montlake Romance.
I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Haley Raynor bad day was only going to get worse since the cream donuts she was eyeing was already sold out. The owner of said donut Trevor Kelly hears her pathetic story and gives her his donut.
She is a romantic and he just in town for a week. The chemistry heats up as they end up having a fling. What will happen at the end of the week when he goes? Can a girl have her donut and love at the same time?
Once again Adriana Locke brings us small town love to life and cream filled donuts.
Adriana Locke takes us back to Dogwood Lane! Haley is super smart, funny and has a big heart, but is still trying to figure out her life. Trevor is , handsome and smart and a bit of a ladies man. His only downfall is he doesn’t believe in love or living HEA. Haley is a romantic and wants to have a relationship that could lead to marriage and kids but Trevor is not that person. Can they make it work? Or will they stay just friends?

It was okay. Really couldn’t get into the story line. Almost felt like it wasn’t fleshed out enough. Like we got the bases of everything but not the good stuff.
Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a decent romance. Both characters meet at a coffee job and the attraction is instant but both guard their hearts due to past heartache. Although they both agree to no touching, no compliments and talks of a future together they fall prey to their desire and emotions.
I wasn't crazy about the hero, he seemed to indecisive and immature. On one hand he wants no complications but he's constantly seeking her out and touching her with affection. Seems too inconsistent with his character.
"I want her to want me the same way I'm wanting her, even though I know it's fucking stupid. And unfair. And illogical. But she doesn't. And I shouldn't."
I have to say, I have a girl crush on Hayley. She had me cracking up in the first chapter and I never stopped. Especially when she's with her bestie Claire. Please tell me she'll get her own book, pretty please? I can't wait to meet the man that can handle her...and Hayley since they are a package deal. I'm smiling just thinking about it.
Hayley is a ray of sunshine and it takes a lot to get her down. Well, at least that's the case if you don't wake her up early. She's not a morning person, but she's full of love and laughter the rest of the time. Unless her heart's broken. That's happened quite a lot actually. She's a romantic and believes in love, if only she could find a man that did as well.
As she's bent over the counter begging for the cream-filled, caramel-topped doughnut, ass in the air, her bestie "didn't bother to blurt out a 'hot guy' or 'sexy stranger' warning. Nope, said sexy stranger gets a birds-eye view of said ass. She might have been too flustered in embarrassment if it didn't become quickly obvious that he was going for her doughnut. After the morning she'd had she wasn't giving up without a fight and proceeded to turn her charms on the gorgeous stranger. Calling him a thief might not be the best plan for most, but he couldn't resist her sass or her ass... which looked sweeter than the doughnut.
The only problem with that memorable first meeting was that he didn't do relationships and she didn't do one-night-stands. They were attracted to each other, but there was no future for them, especially with him only being in town for a week. It might have been easier for them to resist the temptation if they didn't keep running into each other. "My resolve weakens as he uses that damn dimple as a weapon. Finding the part of my brain responsible for logic under all the sexual frustration is nearly impossible."
They weren't the only ones frustrated. I wanted to light a match next to them because I'm sure that's all it would take to turn the spark into an explosion. But, at the same time, the witty banter and negotiations between them were pretty damn entertaining. Just wait until you read the terms of their 'no falling in love' contract, you're gonna be joining me in my giggle-fest.
There are so many colorful characters in Dogwood Lane that this amazing series could go on and on, and I hope it does. I got a glimpse of where I think it's headed next and I'm so excited to find out if I'm right. The line forms here...
Another great read in this series! Full of laughs and sexy banter. Trevor and Haley’s chemistry was hot! Hooked from the beginning! Definitely worth the read!
I was given this book from Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.
This was a fun, quick, easy read. Boy comes to town, meets girl, lots of witty banner ensues. Girl likes boy. Boy likes girl. But neither wants to risk their friendship. This is a fun trope to read, even if it does get predictable.
Would I recommend this book? Yes, if it falls into your preferred genres. This isn’t a book to convert people who don’t already like romances. Would I read it again? Maybe.
5 Stars!!! I received an ARC of this book and couldn’t wait to read it. I am a big fan of this author and have been looking forward to this since Tumble was released. In Tangle, Adriana Locke takes us back to Dogwood Lane. Haley is a small town girl going through the motions of life, not sure about what she really wants and if love really exists. Trevor Kelly rolls into town, and when they meet over a doughnut and sparks fly. The two characters connect on so many levels. Haley is on a dating hiatus doesn’t want a relationship or to fall in love. Trevor has been in various relationships, doesn’t believe in love and is afraid of commitment. As the story goes, their friendship develops into more, and it is an emotional journey for them to get their happy ending. I really enjoyed the connection between all of the characters in this book. Dogwood Lane is a place where you are friends with everyone, and they have your back and support you through thick and thin. The supporting characters in this book played a big part in the storyline. This book left me with a few laughs and a few tears but in the end it was a wonderful journey.
Once again Adriana Locke has given us small town romance with a lot of heart. This is sort of a reluctant, yet inevitable romance. These two promise they won’t fall in love, but you know how that goes.
Haley loves love, she just hasn’t had much luck with it. Trevor doesn’t think that OTL exists, and he’s also had terrible experiences with the supposed big L. These two have an immediate attraction and pull toward each other. Their banter and connection is so fun, and once they’ve known each other a bit the tension ramps up. But will they keep things in the heartbreak-less friend zone, or will they jump in with both feet to the attraction they both feel. I will say that both of these characters struggle with their feelings and understanding them fully. They will make some choices that frustrate the reader, but when the romance is too easy is it as good? What I appreciate is both characters grow, and there’s nothing wrong with making mistakes if you learn/change from them.
Add in the fun and lovable people living in Dogwood Lane, some new characters, and some theft worthy doughnuts and you have a sweet romance that will make you laugh a bit, make you cry a bit, but will leave you smiling!
