I love Dogwood Lane, Adriana Locke has a gift for humor, small-town feels and characters can't let go. Haley and Trevor were on fire. I loved the dynamic of these two. Trevor isn't looking for love but Haley always thinks she is. What can go-awry with a no-strings fling?
4 Strong Contractual Stars
I have to say, Adriana Locke has a handle on writing terrific books. She took two people who have the opposite concept of Love. He is believing from past experience it is a sham. She wants the real deal; the loving relationship, sharing, and marriage.
Attraction between them is there but be3cause they believe the way they do...a contract is drawn up to protect them both. Good Luck with that.
Very enjoyable.
Tangle by Adriana Locke is the second book in her Dogwood Lane series and was such a charming read. Haley is a romantic and believes in love wholeheartedly and Trevor does not. At all. They shared such great banter and chemistry. Haley was such a great characters She was fun and feisty. Trevor was sexy and charming but did not believe in the one and only true love. But their attraction to each other was combustible! Where do they go from here? Definitely worth the read! Such a great story.
Happy reading!
I am still swooning over Trevor !! Adriana has once again made me fall in love with her characters and their journey! Haley and Trevor have instant attraction , amazing chemstry and soon find themselves in a great friendship ! A deal is made don't fall in love but soon the friendship lines become blurred and the overwelming need for more becomes too much to stand. When the line is crossed someone is bound to be hurt even tough ...they had a deal.
I loved every moment of their world . They are real, funny and you as the reader want to be friends with this couple!!!

I received an ARC of the first book in this series and then received one for this book! Unfortunately I wasn't able to read this book before it released, but I did make it a priority when I did have some free time! After reading this book, I can say that I enjoyed it! The plot developed at a nice pace and it was intriguing and made me want to read on and find out what was going to happen next! I found myself enjoying it more as it developed too! The plot didn't have any action or suspense in it, which I was expecting after I read the first book, but there was plenty of romance! I loved the pace that the romance developed at and that it wasn't instant love! The romance allowed for a few seriously hot scenes between the two main characters too! The plot also had a few twist and turns in it too! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Haley was the main female character, and in this book she was a bit nuts, but that's something I loved about her lol! I loved the way she enjoyed food as well and she was very serious about it, especially her doughnuts lol! Haley was also very down to earth and easy for me to connect with! I didn't lose that connection with her all the way through this book as well! Haley also went through quite a lot of changes in this book, but she tried to stay strong and keep her head up! Trevor was the main male character and love interest of Haley! I liked Trevor a lot in this book! I also liked that he came from money, but he wasn't big-headed and he didn't act like a complete ass! It was also easy to see that he felt something for Haley, but it did take Trevor the vast majority of this book to realise how deep his feelings for Haley were! I understood this because he had watched his father go through a lot of relationships and this meant that he was sceptical when it came to love! He definitely redeemed himself with Haley lol! I loved that this book was written from both Haley and Trevor's point of views! I was expecting this book to be written from dual point of view because the first book was written this way and the synopsis gives the impression that it's going to be! I'm really happy that it was because it helped me connect and understand Haley and Trevor more and it allowed for a few more things to happen in the plot, especially as the characters were going through their own things! I now can't wait to read the next book in this series! I wasn't sure if this book was going to be the final book, but I'm really happy that there's going to be another book! A synopsis hasn't be revealed yet, so I'm not sure who the main characters are going to be or what the plot is going to focus on, but I'll definitely be reading it once it releases next year, even though it's a bit of a wait lol! I still have all of this author's other books to read though, so those should keep me busy lol! The cover for this book is also absolutely perfect for it and really suits the book! I love it a lot and I love that it suits the cover for the first book! The cover image/models are the perfect Haley and Trevor too!
Tangle by Adriana Locke is book two in her brand new Dogwood Lane series. Every book is about another couple and could be read as a standalone. For best reading experience I recommend to read the books in order. The previous book is Tumble and tells Neely and Dane's story.
Tangle is Trevor and Haley's whirlwind love story.
Both are burned from previous relationships. The one more than the other, who's a bit a whiny clueless male. They couldn't be more dífferent from each other.
Tangle is a sweet beautiful story. I was captivated from the first meet cute to the beautiful hea. I loved it.
After their meet-cute over the last remaining donut in Dogwood Lane, Trevor and Haley sign a contract on their first not-date. She promises not to fall for her and he promises not to break her heart. They really should have gotten that notarized.
You can guess what happens next, but the ride to get there is one worth taking.

This can be read as a stand-alone, but if you read [book:Tumble|40864349] then you will already know Haley Raynor. She is Dane's cousin and used to be his nanny. She is sassy, feisty, sweet, kind, and a total romantic. She believes in love and happy-ever-after, but she has not had good luck with men and tends to fall for the wrong ones and get hurt. So she has made a bet with her cousin to go on a six months dating hiatus.
Trevor Kelly is just in town for a short job. He is witty, handsome, smart and has completely opposite views than she does. He does not really believe in love, and is afraid to be in a real relationship or commit. But women still seem to cling to him and hope to change him.
These two develop a fun rapport and forge a friendship, and promise not to fall in into the same trap with each other. She is not going to fall in love or cling, and he will not break her heart. Everything is out in the open and they both know the rules. But with sexual tension and chemistry and guards starting to come down, lines can get blurred and attachment can sneak in. Hope can lead to expectations, fear, and hurt feelings. They also lead different lives in completely different locations adding more complications.
Will they fall back into their old habits and end up hurt in the end, or find something neither expected?
This is funny, sweet, sexy, and has just the right amount of angst. The characters have good opportunities to show growth, and it is also about finding out what they really need and want out of life. I enjoyed seeing them develop trust, be more vulnerable, and push their own boundaries.
It brings back Dane, Neely, Mia, Matt, Claire, and Penn from the first book. I love this close-knit community of fun and friendly characters. It also introduces Trevor's family. This town is described so vividly that it seems real. I am looking forward to town playboy Penn's story and I think he might be next after the tease at the end of this one.
Tangle is the second in the Dogwood lane series by Adriana Locke and tells Trevor and Haley’s story. It sweet and sexy and full of the usual fun feelings you get from the light-hearted side of Adriana’s stories.
She’s a whizz at writing these small hometown stories filled with dirty talking gorgeous guys and sassy, snarky, take-no-prisoners girls.
Haley believes in love and Trevor doesn’t but fate, and a doughnut has put them in the same place. The attraction is instant, the chemistry out of control and their sexy banter. It’ll make you smile so darned hard. Neither planned on this happening, so they make a pact but can it last?
They have to decide if they will allow the universe to have its way or ignore the stars aligning and pushing them together, and if so, will it be forever?.
I loved being back in Dogwood Lane and reconnecting with previous characters from Tumble and meeting new ones. Looking forward to the next in the series.
5 I'm Still Swooning Stars!!
Oh Trevor...you've grabbed my heart and held on tight...totally wasn't expecting to feel this way about Trevor given how he doesn't believe in love. But the beautiful Haley changed everything he thought about love without even trying!
Ms. Locke has written a sweet, sexy and witty small town romance bringing together these two in the best way, friends to lovers, which is one of my favorite tropes. I loved how these two went about their "time together" in a very businesslike manner drawing up contract so it's in black and white what's going to be happening while he's in Dogwood for that one week....but sometimes contracts are meant to be broken and in this case, it's the best thing to ever happen for both of them.
I loved how Trevor got flummoxed over his relationship with Haley and how she niggled her way into his heart. He's never had anyone love him the way she can and does and it changes him in some of the most profound ways.
This book has the best of everything that Ms. Locke is about. Her characters have depth and are sometimes flawed making them real. She's written a story that is a beautiful love story but also a story that is redemptive in how our H/h find love and even though they're scared to get hurt, they take the leap with their hearts and win in every way possible!
I had book one (Tumble) on my kindle for a while, and I said: "what are you waiting for, Louisa?"...so I jumped in, and I never want to leave Dogwood Lane again. Adriana Locke has created the small town romance series that I was looking for. Immediately after reading book one - I jumped into Trevor and Haley's book. From the moment we met Trevor, I was hooked. Maybe he has a bit of an ego, but he's sexy AF and had me giggling like a little girl.
This slow burn romance is one of the slowest, burning hot, angsty reads I have read in a while. I loved the banter between these two, and honestly, all the characters. They are like a big family that picks on each other, is in each others business and genuinely care for the well being of each other and that's a significant part of this story (series). The love, the fun, the silliness, the sexy...that's what made this book for me.

Tangle by Adriana Locke is the second book in the Dogwood Lane series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading the first book as well because it was so good! I thought there was no way that Tangle could top Tumble, but boy was I wrong. It was everything I’d come to expect from an Adriana Locke novel-sweet, charming, and unforgettable characters.
I seriously have the biggest girl crush on Haley! She is sassy, loyal, witty, and has a fierce personality. But what I loved the most, was how much she grew throughout the entire book. Being on a dating hiatus, Hayley was not looking for anything and was just trying to work on herself. She was known to fall in love with the wrong guys. But when she lays eyes on the delectable Trevor Kelly, she has no idea how much this one man was going to change everything.
Trevor was absolutely amazing! He too, had so much growth throughout the story. Being somewhat of a love ‘em and leave ‘em type of guy, he doesn’t believe in love. Or marriage. He had so many layers to him and watching Haley peel them back one at a time, was incredible!
Together, Haley and Trevor were EVERYTHING! Their chemistry was hot as hell, and the banter between them was hysterical. Exceptional writing, a fantastic storyline, and most importantly, a love story you do not want to miss!
OH Trevor Kelly Has met his Match with Haley. She has sworn off those guys.. Those like Trevor that is. You know the type . The ones we all want but shouldn't . What starts over an almost brutal murder over a cupcake( oh yes .becomes something so much more. I don't know what I loved more the banter between these two or the wicked sexual CHEMISTRY. They're just too blind to see if for themselves well that isn't really true but you'll have to read it for yourself to fully understand. I Really enjoyed this if you haven't read Tumble you're okay you can still read this without missing anything however I always suggest reading the series. You see some repeat characters, Which is always a great bonus. ARC provided by NetGalley for an honest reveiw.

M/F Romance
I mulled over this review a few days before writing it, because I wanted to make sure that I was being fair. I did read the previous book, but never thought you'd need to in order to understand what is happening in this one.
Haley is a woman who is living her life as best she can. Her good friend supplies her coffee and donuts and where we meet Haley and Trevor for the first time – well, that scene is hilarious. It got me in the mood for a light-hearted romantic story. However, once you really delve into the book, it became almost muddled by the issues that each character brought. Haley is on a dating hiatus because she seems to choose men who are not good for her. Her favorite people are her friends and family and even they can agree that she needs some guidance or growing up in that department. So, when she meets Trevor, despite his looks, she knows that he'll be trouble for her.
Trevor, for all that he is gorgeous and smart, is still somewhat of a teenager in his emotional state. He has grown up with a poor example of love and therefore, has sworn it off. He is a serial dater. His brother loves him and tries to help him along the way, but knows that if Trevor is going to change, he'll have to see what he's doing on his own.
Their courtship is fun, light, and almost a friendship start. I liked that a lot. It wasn't an insta-love connection, but rather two people who acknowledged their attraction, but tried to stay friends first.
I think my biggest point of contention was that so much of the book was taken up by Trevor's belief that love didn't exist. It became almost all he was. I think the story would have been more powerful for me if it had contained more of their relationship and not so much about their issues and how they were to work around them.
Haley has to decide whether or not she can love someone who doesn't believe in love and Trevor has to decide whether he can break his own vicious cycle.
It was a quick read that made me laugh and roll my eyes. I hope more books are to come.

This is the second book in the series, and I would recommend that you start with Tumble, where we get Dane and Neely's story. In this book we get to see more of them, as Dane's cousin and nanny, Haley, features in this story.
Haley is a romantic who has had her heart broken many times, as she always goes all in. She is currently trying to stop the trend and be super sensible – but then she meets Trevor when she fights him over a donut... and the challenge to be sensible is on. She sets down rules and all, which Trevor readily agrees to, as he has no interest in love at all. The reason why is rather sad, and sweet, but one feels he needs to get over it sometime soon!
Everyone else can see the obvious, but as Trevor is only in town temporarily and Haley is on a no-relationships break, they continue to torture themselves and each other by carrying on with their friendship. However at some point something has to give, and we are left wondering just how this can become what we want it to be.
With a community full of lovely characters, some of whom definitely deserve their own story to be told, I think Locke is developing a series which should be on your look-out-for list – it is certainly on mine.
I loved the story, the characters, the secondary characters and the banter.
I started the book on a red eye flight from the US to Italy and didn’t sleep a wink because every time I put my Kindle in the seat pocket and closed my eyes, I sat there thinking that I’d read just one more chapter.
One more chapter turned into 78% of the book. ❤️
I fell in love with Trevor right along with Haley.
Their meet cute was adorable and their conversations just became funnier and more interesting as the story unfolded.
It was a slow burning love at first sight, if that’s even a thing and the pacing was perfect.
Adriana nailed this story. I wouldn’t change a thing.
LAWD how I loved the romance and understanding of this book. Trevor was my baby. So lost but found at the same time. Haley gave it to him straight and 100%, what I found funny is that with her his role was always in reverse. He played the role he was used to women playing for him. Ironic and satisfying at the same time.
Gah! Adriana Locke proves once again that she is the QUEEN of small town romance! I was so excited to get this book in my hands after reading book one. Then, Trevor Kelly showed up and I almost swooned to death. Trevor and Haley were just perfection and hit me right in the feels. This is definitely moving to the top of my favorite AL books list. LOVED and highly recommend!

4 Give Your Girl a Donut CROWNS
ADRIANA LOCKE is the queen of the small town romance. Dogwood Lane is becoming one of my favorite places to visit, and I absolutely love the feeling of coming home that these books provide.
Trevor and Haley are so cute together. I loved their banter, their openness with each other. It allowed them to establish a real connection that extended beyond the bedroom. I also enjoyed that Haley stuck to her guns where he was concerned. She is a heroine who learned her worth and made Trevor grovel a bit. I wanted to audibly cheer her on while reading.
The plot is light and easy. The cast of characters make the story entertaining, and the H and h make the romance entertaining, fun and endearing. There weren’t surprise moments; however, I felt like the characters’ hang ups on love and relationship were relatable and authentic.
I truly enjoyed my return visit to Dogwood Lane. Adriana Locke has truly created a town that has a feel good mood, and romances that have an old school romance feel. I can’t wait to return for the next one.
Arc received in exchange for an honest review
Tangle was so fabulous, I read it in one sitting, riding as a passenger on a road trip. It was perfection and I could not put it down. Adriana Locke always creates such relatable and real characters, and Trevor and Haley were no different. I enjoyed them both so much- they were so different but came together so well, and had off the charts chemistry. What a fun ride!
I loved Haley & Trevor so much! Haley is a hopeless romantic. She believes in forever love and happily ever afters. Trevor doesn’t believe in love. He also believes it doesn’t last. So, when he meets the beautiful woman from Ohio in Dogwood Lane, a place he’s visiting for a few days, he’s ready to show her a good time. Haley is in the middle of a sabbatical from men and when she meets the thief who’s stolen her donut. Even if he’s the most handsome man she’s ever laid on, she knows his kind of game.
These two have a great story and their chemistry is undeniable. Haley is strong and determined to set boundaries. I admire Haley and the lines she draws to protect her heart. Trevor learns a lesson in love and has to figure out why his feelings are wrapped up in Haley. Tangled is wonderful and romantic. There are so many different scenes that will have you believing in love and leave you smiling for days.
