Not sure why I’m surprised that this book was good. Adriana Locke is becoming one of my favorite authors because she always delivers.
These characters were the perfect match! And I always love a great banter which this book delivers fully.
I loved the way Haley was written. It was the most accurate description of how women are and I loved that she owned up to it all.
Man oh man... Trevor Kelly is something else. He did everything to make a woman swoon.
I gave this book four stars because I did skim a little at times and I still can’t believe the author used Penn as a character when she has Peck as one as well.
THE BEST LOCKE BOOK YET! Sorry for the shouty caps, but that is a HUGE feat to beat! I love Adriana's book, but this one just grabbed my heart and spoke to my soul in the happiest of ways. From the opening scene that had me grinning ear to ear to the final page where I was secretly praying there were more, I loved this book. The character development is excellent, the banter is perfect, and the storyline kept me flipping pages and then dreading that it was ending.
If you only pick up book this July, Tangle is the MUST READ, MUST BUY book! I'm calling it now: Tangle is the best book of the summer!
Tangle by Adriana Locke a five-star read that will leave you in a tangle. This is number two in the Dogwood Lane books, and I am assuming you can read them as stand-alone as I started with number two and plan to go back to number one. This was so spark worthy that if you left it open near a box of matches then your house would burn down, it was just that good. Its sweet and romantic despite a contract not to fall in love. Hailey and Trevor will both make you swoon, they are just well written and adorable in odd ways, they both have great complex lives that will make this story for you.
Trevor Kelly is everything!!! I honestly have never read something by Adriana that I didn't love so I wasn't that surprised that I fell hard and fast for Trevor, what surprised me was the fact that I think I love him the most out of all of the guys Adriana has written.
Tangled is a sweet fun romance between a girl who has had her heart broken one too many times and a guy who doesn't mean to break hearts. Everything about these two shouts that they shouldn't even want to be friends, but how can you sent a friendship built over astolen donut. I simply couldn't put this book down, I smiled through nearly the whole book, of course I wasn't smiling when I wanted to smack Trevor for being blind to what was in front of him.
There really isn't much that needs to be said about Tangled, other than the fact that you HAVE to read it!
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series, and is Haley and Trevor’s story. Haley is a hopeless romantic while Trevor is a cynic who does not believe in love or HEA. I loved the witty banter between these two, and the sizzling chemistry. Will they be able to deny the chemistry between them? No spoilers; this is one of those stories which is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a beautifully written story which is emotional, fun, humorous, witty, sweet, and an all round entertaining read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and cannot wait to read more in this intriguing series, and I highly recommend for all readers.
4.5 stars
It's official. I've called the movers. I am packing and sometime next month I will be moving to Dogwood Lane. I just need Adriana Locke to give me the exact location.
Tangle is sassy, sweet, and full of all the tension. It's the anticipation that gets to the reader. You watch this unfold and the list brewing inside you overflows. The need to stake a claim on one of these Dogwood Lane men, both native and transplants, becomes a living breathing thing.
Trevor isn't here for good. He's a temporary townie. Haley is a fixture in this picturesque Mayberry like home. Dogwood Lane is everything you want in a quaint town, everything perfect for a storybook future. It's residents are people you want to know. People you want to spend time with and people you want around you. They grow on you!
Tangle shows just how much they grow on you...
P.S. I need me a Love Nest. I will be taking resumes for future suitors based on their best designs. Hubs may apply. I'm not limiting the pool. 😉

Tangle is Book 2 of the Dogwood Lane series by Adriana Locke. I liked the first book but LOVED this one! The connection between Haley and Trevor was definitely a slow burn and when things finally started to heat up, I thought my Kindle was going to combust.
This story pulled out all the emotional stops. I laughed. I cried. I wanted to dislike Meredith just on principle alone but really couldn't. It was great reconnecting with old favorites and the teaser at the end with Penn and Grace! Oh, I can't wait!
Adriana Locke’s Dogwood Lane series is so much fun. I adored Tumble and meeting Dane and Neely. Tangle, though, introduces me to Trevor Kelly, and TREVOR KELLY is delicious.
You know from the beginning that Trevor and Haley are destined to be together. Teensy problem, though: she believes in lasting love, and he thinks it’s an urban myth. (His reason for this is devastating, and I loved how unexpected it is.)
They decide to get around their percolating sexual tension with a contract written on a cocktail napkin. Cute, right? Even cute? They think these scribbles will act as a barrier between them.
Adriana Locke builds and builds and builds with Trevor and Haley. She builds their trust and feelings and their attraction. She builds this sense that (at least) one of them will get their heart broken, but she also builds the trust that even if they do, they will heal.
I loved this book. It’s sexy and funny, and Trevor and Haley are one of those couples you just adore.
Not to drop too strong of a hint, but I can’t wait for Penn’s story. And I’m kind of hoping Penn’s story intersects with Claire.
I'm not going to lie - I enjoyed this one more than Tumble. And I REALLY enjoyed Tumble.
There's something about this couple that's just so very easy to read. Their back and forth is genuinely funny and their chemistry is a smoulder thoughout. But more than that, they are just so grounded and realistic in their interactions. I genuinely couldn't put this down.
For my money, Ms Locke has set the bar exceptionally high for book 3!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Small town romance, donuts and Adriana Locke!! Nothing better!! I loved Hayley and Trevor’s story! She wants love and he doesn’t believe in it but when truth and honesty are discovered- it’s an amazing ride!!
I love Dogwood Lane. I love how Adriana Locke develops a story! I love all her books and Tangle does not disappoint! The strong convictions of Hayley, the incredible relationships within the book and watching Trevor grow- just incredible!!
I fell in love with Dogwood Lane in the first book of the series, and this one is even better! In fact, it has one of my favorite lines EVER in a book. Trevor is sheer perfection and so is Haley! I love their characters individually as well as together! Just an awesome addition to the series, and I can't wait for more!
4 1/2 Stars!
Haley's a romantic. She believes in love and happily-ever-after. Trevor does not! He believes that a person can have several loves in the their life span because nothing lasts forever. Haley warns Trevor to stay away from her because she will fall in love with him, but he just can't help himself. He flirts and flirts until Haley gives in.
This is a cute romantic comedy that had me laughing out loud. The characters are just so believable and the banter between them is so realistic. Haley is just a sweetie and I couldn't help but root for her to have her happily-ever-after. And even though Trevor thought he had a heart of stone, he really was too kind and thoughtful to be a a$$hole. This is a great 2nd book in the series and I highly recommend both books.
Tangle was a fun and sassy story to get into. Our poor Haley is having "A DAY" and needs her sugar rush to make everything right again. Until a gorgeous stranger has bought the last donut that was calling Haley's name. Since that incident, I could not stop loving on Haley and Trevor. Stories where love finds the way always get me. I love when a book character does not believe in Love and then gets bit by the bug.
The passion that heats up between the characters will have your Kindle go into overload. I recommend this MUST READ as it will give you the thrills and the chills!!
After not liking the plot line of the first book in this series, I wasn’t sure what to expect with book 2. But OH MY GOD I LOVED IT! This was wonderful! It reminded me of what AL does best... great side characters, delicious slow burns, witty banter and dialogue with characters that feel real. Book 2 in the Dogwood Lane series follows Haley and Trevor. The banter and playfulness between these two was my favorite part of the book. I loved how sarcastic and fun together they were. I also loved how honest with each other they were from the very beginning. Each was true to themselves and I genuinely liked that. Haley was a really relatable character to me. I loved her love of love. And not apologizing for that but understanding how to be strong. This series has definitely hit its stride and it seems like Penn and Grace (?) may be up next!! Tbh I’m intrigued by Trevor’s brother Jake.... Hmmm time will tell! Definitely check out this book!

First of all, I'm wondering how this is my first Adrianna Locke book I've ever read! Second- now I need to go back and read the first book of this series. I literally laughed out loud by page 2, so I knew I was in for a great read. It definitely was! I laughed, got misty eyed, and even an out loud awww for a swoon worthy scene. I just loved this book so much, I'm kicking myself for not discovering this author sooner!
I loveeeeedddd Trevor Kelly!!! I loved Hailey and her wit. This was such a good book. I savored it rather than devour cause i didn't want it to end too quickly. I loved seeing Dogwood Lane and all the characters i grew to love in Tumble. Penn better get a book or im gonna be pissed haha. I need to see him get smacked in the face with LOVE.
The Dogwood Lane series makes you feel like moving to a small town! Comfy & Swoony! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Haley and Trevor are going to make you fall completely in love with their “we won’t fall in love” banter! They make you want to move to a cute small town and join them. I am crushing on this series!
5 Small Town Stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Trevor Fn’ Kelly!
That is all!
Ha!
Adriana has written another gem with Trevor and Haley. From the first chapter she draws you in with the banter and ease the pair share. Nonstop laughs at their interactions with everyone they cross. I love that all the prior characters play such a pivotal role in this installment of the series.
Everyone and all the issues they experience make this one of the most relatable stories to read. The way Haley views relationships and love are such a common thing as well as Trevor’s dislike of the L-word. Their honesty and passion made for a great read.
Dane took a piece of my heart in Tumble, now Trevor is claiming a bigger chunk. By the time we get to Penn, the Dogwood crew will own it. Such a well written book that makes you realize appreciating boundaries and sometimes how bypassing all of them and the rules, will lead you down a path of ultimate happiness.
Tangle is book 2 in the Dogwood Lane series. This is Haley, who you may remember as Dane’s cousin if you read Tumble and Trevor.
Haley has had horrible luck when it comes to dating, so she is done with it, she is taking a break. Trevor doesn’t believe in love. Everyone around him has been in a relationship that hasn’t worked out. So what happens when promises are written on napkins and a new friendship forms?
Haley, she was one sassy little firecracker and I LOVED that about her. She wasn’t afraid to give what she got, even if it was to a complete stranger. The banter between her and Trevor was fantastic and I loved the chemistry between the two of them. Trevor, the doughnut thief, was a man all about one-night stands. He didn’t do relationships, especially with his past and the relationships he has seen around him.
This book had me laughing, it was sweet, and it will leave you smiling. I love the little bits and pieces of Dane and Neely and glimpses into more of the Dogwood Lane characters. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Penn. I think that man may finally meet his match.
Tangle a perfect small town romance and a MUST READ for the summer!
Trevor goes to Dogwood Lane to oversee construction on a house for his dad and dad's new wife. One of the first people he meets is Haley. Immediate chemistry and just the right amount of teasing each other, plus a pact to not get involved, add up to a very fun read. Another great book in this series. More fun characters in this sweet little town, and lots of appearances from ones introduced in Tumble. I'd recommend reading that first, but wouldn't say it's necessary.
