Loved this taster! More please! always wondered what happened next and this is the book to tell us. It broke my heart the first time round.

Care: I have only the insight of reading as brief sample. A mere teaser which ended before it really began.
We are quickly immersed into Holly’s reality 7 years on from the passing of Gerry. She has reached a new place without the means to continue in her new found strength.
To explain she takes us back to just 3 months before. On the surface things seem great; momentous decisions can be made propelling her forward into the rest of her life.
Then her sister asks her to speak about her experiences about grief and how Gerry helped her overcome his untimely death at 30.
I would love to tell you more but the money ran out; just as I was going to spy what the butler saw darkness descended. Just as I got my telescope on the horizon with a ship coming into focus a click introduced a black impenetrable lens.
Frustration holds no bounds. I was sucked in and believed this next offering of P.S. I love you. My male sensibilities were set aside I was ready to read on and ran out of pages.
The writing is good; comic asides and misdirection but a measured emotion that will speak to all.

I just finished the sampler and it was perfect. Now I can’t wait to get my hands on the full book when it’s released. P.s I love you has always been one of my favourites. Ow I can’t wait to see where life took Holly.

I have just devoured the sampler for postscript and wow! You have my attention. I cannot wait to read the full version and see what happens next. It is written just as beautifully as ps. I love you was.

I’m so excited to read the full version of this sequel to PS. I Love You. This sampler has whet my appetite for more and looks as though it’s going to be every bit as good as its predecessor. Roll on publication date!

I was so excited to get the chance to read a sample of Postscript. PS I Love You is one of my all time favourite and I was not disappointed after reading this excerpt. I am extremely excited to read the full book later this year! I am sure that Cecelia Ahern will deliver a brilliant sequel to this class book.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC

The only thing wrong with a sampler is its too short! I am hooked already and really want to know what happens next. Cecilia talks about death so sensitively. Her choice of words and her descriptions are very well done. I really want to know how this works out. I've read a number of Cecilia's books and have enjoyed every one of them. Even if I don't get the chance to read this through netgalley I will buy it.

I can't wait for the release of the book . Loved meeting Holly again and the references to PS I Love You .Can't wait to find out where this book will take us ♥️

I love PS I Love You. I have read it several times which is rare for me as I normally only ever read a book once. Holly is a brilliant character and I really like the idea of this book. I really enjoy Cecelia Aherns books and the sampler of this book is written in her wonderful style and has me totally hooked. I am really looking forward to hiding away from the world to get peace to read the rest of the book.
Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

Reading through the reviews already I think I must be unique in that I have never read the book PS I Love You and neither have I seen the film. I don't think I've read any Cecelia Ahern books at all, I have no idea why as they are my kind of books.
Having read this excerpt sample from Postscript I'm thinking I would not be able to fully appreciate the story without reading the first one as I have none of the back story other than the blurb that I read last week.
What a place to finish the sample on though? Holly must have felt absolutely awful after hearing the news about Angela, especially when she'd been so angry with her, so for it to just finish leaving the reader hanging in the air, well..........
So first I need to read PS I Love You sometime between now and September because I definitely want to read this book too. It's a bit difficult to give a star rating on 3 chapters but I like what I've read so far.

PS I Love you was one of the best books from Cecelia Ahern and this sample of the sequel, Postscript is already set to make a fantastic read. Holly is back and after 7 years have passed since Gerry died she is drawn back into the struggles of grief. I can not wait for the full book to be released.

The arc sample for Postscript draws you back into Holly's world as if you never left. It is now seven years after Gerry's death and Holly is feeling more confident that life can go on as Holly, and maybe even Holly and Gerald. It is in this mindset that she agrees to her sister's request, to take part in a podcast sharing her grief experience, and particularly Gerry's letters, and what they meant for her.
Facing her grief again, even seven years on is difficult and you feel her pain and the real fear that she may slip back into the dark abyss if she examines her grief journey too closely. Nevertheless, she delivers and the response is positive, but someone seems too involved and Holly's reaction is avoidance, and this has consequences, but I need the rest of the book to find out what they are.
I received an arc sample from Harper Collins UK - Harper Fiction via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This was a complimentary sample of the first 2 chapters - courtesy of netgalley - thank you
This is the sequel to PS I love you which I absolutely loved - its one of my favourite books so to be able to sample this has been a real treat
It continues the story 7 years on and the dealing with grief is still very prevalent - it would make a great book club book - dealing with the thread of relationships, grief and dealing with it
I loved it - the characters are well written and rounded
Can't wait to get hold of the book - September seems a long time coming !!

What a fabulous first few chapters. Was worried after reading ps I love u a very long time ago that I would struggle to pick up Holly’s character again but I didn’t. It’s wonderful. Hurry up full book please!

So delighted to get the chance to catch up with Holly again, 15 years after PS I Love you was first published. Set seven years after the death of her husband Gerry, we meet Holly as she is still learning to be just 'Holly' after being part of 'Holly and Gerry' for so long. Just as life seems to be moving on for her, she takes part in an interview 'Let's Talk About Death' where she talks to a group about just how important Gerry's letters were to her as part of her moving on. There is an unintended consequence to this which hits her for six.
And that's where the extract ends!
I was totally caught up in Holly's world again and found this a compelling read. Cecelia Ahern has all the emotions spot on as usual and knows grief can come at any time. I can't wait to read the rest of the book later this year.

Well that was a proper teaser. I went straight to but the book and it’s not out until September . Loved the first three chapters got straight back into Holly and her character. Looking forward to reading the rest

Wow! What a strong start to what will be a fabulous book.. It is now seven years since .Holly.'s beloved husband Gerry died, aged just 30. Her long winter is gradually turning into spring. with boyfriend Gabriel's help, Holly plucks up courage to speak about her experience of bereavement on her sister Ciara's podcast, in front of a live audience, including her friend Sharon with her two children. A designer label-clad lady, Angela Carberry seems particularly affected by the talk.and presses Holly to tell her story to more people. When she phones Angela to refuse her request, she is given devastating news
I love the humour of Sharon's noisy babies creating chaos. amid the pathos and sad honesty of the bereavement event.. Would love to read the rest of the book to find out if Holly takes the big step of moving in with Gabriel and whether she decides to speak again on the difficult subject of bereavement, for which she clearly has such a gift.

PS I Love You, was an emotional, deep yet humorous at times book that touched the hearts of everyone who read it.
7 years later here we are with a sample of
the Postscript.
Holly is in a relationship with Gabriel making plans to move in together. Her sister Ciara, with help from Holly is running her own shop with podcasts with audiences that give money to charity.
Holly agrees to help her sister by doing a podcast herself on ‘How to talk about death’.
Friends attend the podcast as well as people intrigued by what can come from Ciara’s shop assistant.
There is interest in what Gerry’s (late husband) letters, received by Holly for ten months following his death could possibly say. Holly shares the last letter with everyone, causing a bit of a stir among listeners of the podcast as well as the immediate audience.
A regular donator to the shop try’s without success to speak with Holly, who is hiding from her, unwilling to discuss Gerry’s letters any further.
One phone call following another contact to delve further into Holly’s ‘story’ and she is left dissolved.
I cannot wait for the rest of this book! I want to know how Holly’s life has changed and what lies ahead for her, her friends and her family now!

Oh wow this is a book I have been waiting for since 2005. I loved PS I Love You - it was one of the first women’s fiction books I read and I remember being a 16 year old girl crying my heart out over Gerry and Holly and their last year together through Gerry’s letters.
I’m excited to see where this new book goes and it was lovely to see zoology giving an interview to Ciara’s Podcast as well as sharing her experiences despite the clear lack of desire to do so.
I really cannot wait for the full book, I’m pretty certain this will be a 5 Star read for me!!!!

I loved PS I love you and i cannot wait to read this book in full.
I am looking forward to reading the story of Holly and wish that this had been a full book!
Roll on September!
