I’m so sad to see the books for the Mercury Pack to come to an end. Dom and Mila were the best couple to end with.
I love this author and series! She has done a fantastic job and I’m sure her heart aches just like ours does. I’m somewhere in other series the Mercury Pack will pop up...fingers crossed at least!
I'm so sad The Phoenix Pack series is ending. I've loved each book in its own way, and yes, I've loved some more than others...but they've all had something special.
I have really been looking forward to Dominic's book. The way he chatted up all the other's mates, tossing out cheesy lines, and just causing general mischief I just knew it was gonna be epic. I felt a vague dissatisfaction with this book for some reason. I mean, I liked Dom and Mila together (plus Mila's a pallas cat, which is awesome). I loved how Mila held her ground and didn't let Dom talk her into doing anything she didn't want to do. I enjoyed the other characters, the danger and suspense, and Wright's trademark sexy-times. I just wasn't "feeling" the book. So I put it aside to think about it before posting reviews. I decided to read it again...and I loved it so much more the second time. I have no idea why but I seemed to connect better with the story and the characters. And the epilogue was so good. I ended up giving this story 4 stars.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher, Montlake, via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or remuneration.
I have been waiting for Dominic's book for ages.
Dominic meets Mila, a cat shifter who has lose her true mate who has imprinted on her cousin. She and Dominic begin a sexual relationship but it quickly turns into something more serious.
I missed the old Dominic, the one who was always cracking jokes to the other shifters mates, he lost that sense of himself in this book and i missed it. Mila was nice but i didnt feel the connection with these 2 as much as i did with the others. It wasnt as powerful, at least it didnt seem so to me.
There is an 8 year time jump at the end of the book that i felt was rather rushed and there was just too much going in in such very short written pages. It was all a bit baffling. Would have been nice to have made it a bit longer.
I look forward to Suzannes next series The Olympus Pride series which is coming in 2020.
I’m a huge fan of this series, and Suzanne Wright, but I have had a special spot in my heart for Dominic from the very first book so it was bittersweet to get his book as although I was looking forward to it, it also meant that the Phoenix pack series was at an end. Luckily Ms Wright did such a wonderful job, that I was too busy enjoying Dominic and Mila’s story to think about it being the last in the series. I loved everything about it, it felt very fresh, and I loved the angle of them not being true mates but a true mate being in the picture, I also enjoyed the other threads of story that ran alongside with contract killers and crazy ‘latent’ humans as well as the vile extremists, these all added to the pace and excitement of the story. I loved Untamed Delights and would definitely recommend it!
It’s now the turn of Dominic, the Phoenix pack enforcer famous for his innuendoes and flirting, to meet his mate. Mila Devereux is a pallas cat, one of the most unassuming yet vicious breeds of shifter there is. When they meet Dominic feels an instant attraction but, knowing his reputation, Mila is a little more discerning and really makes him work for it.
I am a huge fan of Suzanne Wright, so much so that I don’t need to read the blurb before I pre-order – just seeing her name is enough to have me one click. She has the knack of creating characters that leave you wanting more from them. There are so many things I loved about this book such finding out there was so much more to Dominic than his cheesy one-liners. He had hidden depths but wasn’t afraid to face his fears. I also loved the fact that, unlike most of the other couples in the series, Dominic and Mila weren’t true mates and despite Mila knowing who her true mate was, she chose to be with Dominic and fate be damned.
It’s sad that this is the end of the Phoenix pack series but at least they’re going out on with a bang and there’s also the anticipation of cameo appearances from Trey, Taryn and the rest of the gang in Suzanne’s upcoming Olympus Pride series.
Mila is a pallas cat shifter, which are badass little cats who will tear you to shreds if you piss them off. Most other shifters think of pallas cats as crazy animals who should not be messed with. They might be small but they are fierce.
Dominic is always having a fling with one woman or another and he's always making perverted remarks to those close to him. His sense of humor is weird but most people just shake their head at him and move on. Everyone knows that this wolf shifter is not looking for a relationship, just a one night stand so when he sets his sights on Mila she scoffs at him and turns him down, something he's not used to happening.
When Mila finds herself in danger because of something her brother did, Dominic finds that he feels more possessive of Mila and her cat than he thought he would. Mila has plans to move to Russia and engage in an arranged mating with a shifter there because of a certain person she wants to be away from but she isn't expecting to feel things for Dominic.
There's quite a bit of action because of the danger that both Mila and Dominic are in but that only added to the excitement of this story and it really showed both Dominic and Mila just how much they cared for each other when they other was put in danger or got hurt. It was fun to watch the relationship grow between them. I really liked the twists this story took because it kept me guessing as to who was behind all of the drama until the end of the book.
I've enjoyed this series so much and thought that this story closed the series out nicely even though I am sad to see the series end.
Ahhhhhhh this was just such a wonderful book and I just thoroughly enjoyed myself. I didn’t want to put this book down. I just fell in love with this wonderful story and it’s wonderful characters. I will most definitely be reading more stories from this wonderful author.
This is one of the best books of the series! Dom and Mila are perfect together. I liked how the previous couples were in the story a lot. The plot was great and the ending was even better. That epilogue was everything the previous couples we got see where they were and Dom/Mila also. Over all amazing book.
I'm slightly devastated that UNTAMED DELIGHTS is the last book of the The Phoenix Pack series.
Each of the Phoenix pack books has had plenty of danger and action and UNTAMED DELIGHTS is no different. There are actually a few different mysteries and dangerous situations coming from different directions in the story which made it that much better.
The romance between Dominic and Mila was one of those slow build situations and I enjoyed their give and take with each other. I really enjoyed the way that Wright built their relationship around them not being each others fated mate after so many fated mate pairs. I also enjoyed that Mila didn't pine after her fated mate after he unknowingly rejected her. She really stood up for herself and it made me like her and her strength even more.
I really enjoyed witnessing Dominic's HEA. Both him and Mila really deserved each other and the life that they ended up in. Again, I hate that this is the end. I love all the characters and I love seeing them and how their life is going along in every book. I did really enjoy the end jump ahead though and appreciated seeing how everyone turned out. This was a great series that I thoroughly enjoyed following.
* This book was provided free of charge from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I love this series and believe it’s the last so I’m sad. But it’s a wonderful read just like all the others, great alpha males, gutsy strong women, action, passion and a fast paced plot. Look forward to new books and series from Suzanne as each gets better all the time
Omg I can't believe that this is the end of
The Phoenix Pack series! <3
And it ends so so good!
The story is really good and I wished it would never end.
Untamed Delight is the latest, and final, book in Suzanne Wright’s steamy, supernatural Phoenix Pack series. Filled with the steamy romance, suspense, humor, and action Wright has led readers to expect from her novels, this one is a satisfying conclusion to the Phoenix Pack series. It’s a thoroughly entertaining novel about learning to open your heart, soul, and life to the right person and letting yourself be vulnerable enough to trust another person to take a chance on being loved and accepted as you are, imperfections, insecurities, and all.
This time the novel focuses on dominant Phoenix pack beta Dominic, the flirtatious, charmer always ready with a corny, sexual come on line, and Cat Shifter Mila Deveraux from a pride, who is an ally to the pack. Mila is heartbroken from her true mate’s unwitting rejection of her and imprinting on another instead. At the same time, he continues to seek out her company and friendship, making her and her cat, in particular, desperately miserable. To give herself and her cat the time and space to heal free from his presence, she decides to move to Russia and enter an arranged marriage.
In Untamed Delight we finally get to discover whether those brief glimpses hinting that there might be a little more to Dominic than his goofy teasing of his pack member’s mates suggests. Although we do learn that there is more to Dominic than we have been shown in the previous novels, Untamed Delights is not as angsty or intense as the previous novels in the series, and the tone also is lighter and not as dark as the earlier books. Nevertheless, it definitely keeps you guessing who the bad guys are with red herrings all over the place. As usual, Wright’s banter and development of the sexual tension and relationship between the characters is first rate.
Mila and Dominic are a balanced match for each other. In many ways they are just as connected and strongly bonded together as true mates. Possibly the fact the fact that mates who bond through imprinting have to work a bit more at the bond and relationship since they are not created for each other. Unlike previous books in the series this one explores a relationship where one of the couple’s true mates is not only around the hero and heroine on a regular basis but is a close part of the heroine’s life. It was a different dynamic which impacted Mila’s and Dominic’s relationship in all sorts of significant ways. However, I found that the imprinting process was not explored with as much detail in this novel as the imprinting and true mate bond formation in the previous books. That’s unfortunate because the dynamic and relationships in this novel were so complex and a bit different from the previous novels.
Untamed Delights is about the hilarious and sexy Dominic. I have been waiting for his book for what seems like forever, and I have to say I am not disappointed. Suzanne is one of my favorite PNR writers, and this is definitely hands down one of my favorite series. Mila, the cat shifter, was sassy and fierce. I loved her character and the chemistry between these two shifters. I am sad to see this series end, but I am happy we will see glimpses of these shifters in her new spin off series.
Mila Devereaux is a cat shifter whose one true mate has imprinted on another female. Struggling to be at peace, she entertaining the suggestion of an arranged mating until an irresistible playboy and delicious bad ass wolf makes Mila’s fantasies come alive again. He is an expert at making women shed their inhibitions, but for the first time Dominic is feeling more than a fling by a female who makes him think of forever and he won’t be satisfied until he has it.
‘The Phoenix Pack’ series is ending with a bang as this splendidly suspenseful, explosive, exciting, wickedly sexy, and charmingly funny romance keeps readers glued to the pages. The hero and heroine are strong, bold characters that stand out, have lots of juicy, electrical chemistry but also have some emotional vulnerabilities that makes it easy for readers to connect with. The passion and emotional angst flows from the pages and readers can feel the depth and heat of both as this couple comes to life.
The romance of this story provides lots of entertainment in the form of splendid suspense, charm, steamy passion snarky wit and quite a few chuckles due to the quirky personalities and delightful abundance of wonderful characters. But the plot is also further enhanced by some deadly, nail biting excitement and suspense of a group of shifter hating humans manipulated by a ‘rank’ human and let’s not forget the seeming unending assassins popping up everywhere. Readers can’t help but love this couple as they are held hostage by their story in which shadows and secrets from their pasts threatened to destroy everything Dominic and Mila are fighting for.
This book is so bittersweet for me. I’ve been with this series since the very first book was released. I’ve waited on Dominic’s story the entire series because he’s always been one of my favorites. Let’s be real though, I love the whole Phoenix pack and I am heartbroken the series is over. Dominic did not let me down though. We finally got to see behind the cheesy pickup lines to see the real man behind them. Don’t get me wrong, like Jamie, I found the lines hilarious, but it was nice getting to see the real side of him. Mila was everything in a mate I had hoped for Dominic. Yes I have real hope for fictional people. That’s how close to my heart this series is. And now I want to be a Pallas cat. If you don’t know what they are, I highly suggest reading this book and googling them.
In true Suzanne fashion, as soon as I think I have the book figured out, TWIST! She always keeps me guessing, always lets you think you know exactly how it’s going to go but then throws a curveball. It’s one of the reasons she’s a favorite of mine.
If you couldn’t tell, I HIGHLY recommend this book! This whole series!! And that epilogue had me sobbing! They were happy sobs but sobs nonetheless. If you feel like you’re missing something in your life, I know what it is. It’s this series. 5 huge sobbing stars!!
What to say about this book? I can't even begin to explain what this series means to me, it was the first paranormal romance series I actually loved enough to read all the books and really get into the story and the characters, so this was a bittersweet read for me... I've been waiting for Dominic's story since the first book, he was that character that you can't help but fall in love with and I was dying to get to know the female that would finally accept him and make him stop chase every woman he encountered.
This book did not dissapoint. I loved Mila and her family, I loved the story and the suspense and the twist that I did not see coming and loved how the two of them were together. I loved everything about this book and I think the fans of the series will love it as much as I did. It was the best ending to this series, but I will miss this characters greatly.
If you haven't read this series, go and read from the beginning because this is one you won't want to miss.
Thank you Suzanne Wright for giving us this incredible characters to fall in love with.
5 ‘ PERFECT HEA’ Stars
Awww… This was the most PERFECT way to wrap up the PNR awesomeness that is The Phoenix Pack! No wonder Suzanne Wright is my Queen of PNr, this ending truly was PERFECTION!
I slowly (ok, not really, lol) UNTAMED DELIGHTS, savored so that I could enjoy every word to its fullest, because I don’t want to say goodbye to this Phoenix Pack gang.
Dominic, the impish, sexual lines addict wolf shifter, was indeed the perfect character to be left for last – and whose story we all have all been dying for since book one – and Mila, the kickass and overall awesome pallas cat shifter was the perfect counter part for Dom’s complex character. Only she could see right through his too playful facade. Ahhh, how I adored them as couple! With my deep love for fated mates, I never expected one of my fav from the story would be a imprinted couple, that about says it of how fantastic this book is. And so much more complex and rich character, background and plot wise! I indeed loved every second of interaction of these two and all the cameos from past couples and wished it never to end!
Untamed Delights was pure PNR magic that just cemented Suzanne Wright as my PNR Queen given the conclusion of not of Dominic and Mila but the pack as whole was PERFECTION, that epilogue had me 😍😍😍! Now I just need it to be Wednesday to get the final Mercury Pack, Shards of Frost in my grabby hands!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
So this was my first book by this author and I feel that Suzanne Wright hit it out of the park with this book. With a big hearted Wolf shifter named Dominic with his hilarious corny pickup lines and skittish but strong Pallas shifter Mila who can fight her own fight and won't let people walk all over her. I LOVED these characters and how they played off each other. I enjoyed watching them become stronger and their love grow. Add in crazy families, lots of action with a who done it mystery and plenty of heat this book had everything I look for in a book. Well done.
I’ve jumped in and out of this series and the author’s works, but have always enjoyed what I’ve read. I’m sad that this is the “saying goodbye” book for the Phoenix Pack, and hope for many crossover/spinoff opportunities moving forward.
Remember Dominic? Well, if you don’t know him and you’re joining us here (WHAT?!), then all you really need to know is that he has subjected all the women who have come into their pack to some truly horrific and hilarious pickup lines. We knew eventually the time would come when his mate walked into his life and they would all finally be able to get him back. His mate, it turns out, is in the form of Mila. Don’t worry about her, though, because she is tough as nails.
Mila comes from a family of organized crime, Russian murdering wolverines, and other pallas cats, like herself. Unfortunately, her true mate has chosen someone else and she’s still licking her wounds, hiding her horrible secret from him. In a last attempt to get well, she tentatively agrees to an arranged mating all the way in Russia. No one is happy with this, least of all the adorable flirt she meets after performing at a shifter bar. Dominic, unfortunately, has more than just impressing Mila on his plate. What he thought was a simple one night stand turns into a boatload of drama for him when her father teams up with the extremists.
These two are 100% great for one another (of course), and were a nice, solid way to end the series. We get to see Dominic settle and yet learn way more about his inner workings. We watch the score get settled with the rest of the pack for all the flirtation. We also get to see the shifters pull together in a big fight. Oh, and we get to see more pallas cat action, which is always scarring in the best way. This ties up a lot of things, but I’d still take 8 more of these books!
The last book in one of my favorite series, I was a bit down before I even started reading. Thank goodness Dominic is still ridiculous and had me cracking up almost immediately. I expected Dom’s pack mates to give him a lot more crap than they did once he’d found his woman, but I’m thrilled they didn’t kill him because of all those cheesy pickup lines aimed at their wives. Why? Because Dominic was amazing. And alpha-intense. And did I mention he was freaking hot?
Dominic may not have gotten his fated mate, but he got the perfect one for him. I loved Mila and her pragmatic outlook on life. She was laid back and level-headed which is exactly what Dominic needed. Plus, she was a Pallas cat and they fascinate me. If there were such things as shifters in this world, I know that’s what I’d want to be.
Dominic and Mila had danger nipping at them from every corner and with so many possible perpetrators, it was next to impossible to guess who targeted them and why. Well, one was obvious, that being Dominic’s past slightly man-whorish ways coming back to bite him in the ass. But the other issue was a guessing game that I had a lot of fun trying to figure out. I do have to say, when the shit hit the fan at the end, the suspense and danger had me at the edge of my seat and my heart in my throat.
As the book wound down and I knew my time being fully immersed in the Phoenix Pack was coming to an end, I found myself reading slower and slower. I turned that last page fully satisfied after reading a great book but heartbroken that it was over. The only thing soothing the sting is that I know I’ll see them in Shards of Frost, the (insert huge sob here) last Mercury Pack book, but also in the future Olympus Pride Series which means a whole series with Pallas Cats. I can’t freaking wait!!!!
