I love this series but don’t worry if you have not read any of the previous novels as this can be read as a standalone.

A must read. It just gets you hooked from the start and you will not want to put it down until the end.

I received this ARC for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

J. Kenner continues her Stark Security series with Broken With You which is the story about Denise and Mason. As a fan of Kenner’s already, I was excited for this book and it didn’t disappoint at all! I do recommend reading the prequel to this book which you can find on iBooks or amazon or JKenners webpage usually for free, it sets the story for this book, other than that it could be read separately from the series. Denise and Mason are a married couple who are madly in love with one another but they both service in secret ops. They understand they must spend time apart for their jobs but they always come back to each other and they are getting to the point in their lives where they have their home now and they want to start settling down. Mason is sent on a job for what should be just a few months but it turns out to be a longer lasting job that he is now sent deeper undercover and Denise is now kept in the dark. Denise hasn’t seen her husband in two years and is worried and she has left the SOC and they won’t tell her anything. She is sad and lonely and her friends set her up with a sexy massage with a massage with a man who seems awfully familiar and sexy. Could it be her husband? It couldn’t be? Time passes by and she gets a call they found her husband but he has amnesia and she has to help him but not tell him who she is. It is all to be kept top secret. This book is full of twists and turns and hot sexy scenes. It’s everything that J. Kenner is known for and is great at! I read it in one day because it was so good. I give it five stars!!

Can't remember who you are? Have information that could impact National Security? Not a problem for the team at Stark. Love the dark underside we see in these stories. With the light coming in to bring a little balance. And if you aren't team Mason, there must be something wrong with you. Really you want to read this one so you can figure out who the enemy truly is.

This is not just a story of amnesia. This is the story of two people in love with a bond stronger than most and are ripped apart by Mason’s undercover work only to find her again but doesn’t know her. Years ago a family friend got up one morning and went to work and then simply forgot who he was, his wife, children. I remember the devastation and certainly could put myself in Denise’s shoes. Praying for even a glimmer of our old friend, learning who he and his family were.
When the past comes to visit and threatens them both, Mason and Denny’s story has suspense and a definite surprise around the corner. A five star read by one of my favorite authors.

This book kept my attention the entire time I was reading it. A love story with a touch of mystery and some romance thrown in. Mason wakes up in a dingy motel and can't remember who he is or anything about his life. Denny, his wife is heartbroken, her husband doesn't remember her or their life and she can't tell him anything. In the search to find all the secrets Mason is also trying to figure out his intense attraction to Denny. Fabulous characters and an entertaining story line.

4.25 Stars

This was the first book in the series that I have read by this author and I am mighty impressed. The blurb of this book drew me in from the beginning and I knew from other reviews that I didn't need to read the previous books before reading this one. I was not lost. If anything, it intrigued me enough that I need to go back and read the others as well as get familiar with other books by this author.

I enjoyed the Jason Bourne feel to this story. I also liked that the author drew in a couple of my favorite TV Shows. A very plausible storyline, great characters, and lots of suspense. My biggest gripe was that certain "things" didn't come back to Mason. I really wanted them too. Maybe that was just my wishful thinking and that not everything is like the movies.

ARC received for review

Hi! It's me again. I haven't read the first book in this series, but no worries. It's written as a stand alone and I wasn't lost for having missed the first one.

My heart broke for Denise when her husband, Mason/Jack, came back from his undercover mission with no memories of anything. Mean old Admiral wouldn't let her tell him anything. Of course, true love conquers all. The bad guys, and what they planned is the stuff nightmares are made of

Another great J. Kenner book.
Mason is an undercover operative that had been on a covert mission for over two years. Thats how long it has been since, Denise, former partner and wife, have heard from him or about him. Suddenly, Mason appears with no memory of his past, where he has been, or what happened to him. But time is running out for his memory to return. For within the reaches of his memory there lies a key to an antiserum that Denise desperately needs, or she will die. And, if the serum is not found, and the criminals apprehended, the world could face chemical destruction.
Easy read, great plot. Recommend this book to any action fans and especially to any J. Kenner fans.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Denny has been missing her husband Mason for years when she finds out he has returned. But the Mason she knew is not there. He has amnesia and no memory of who he is and that he has a wife. He now calls himself Jack and learns that Denny was his partner. Even though he knows that Denny is his partner and is married he can't seem to stop himself from wanting her and fantasizing about her. Even though they finally give in to the passion they feel for each other, he still has not recovered his memory. While getting reacquainted with each other they are also fighting against a killer. They will both be surprised when that killer is revealed.

Stories about amnesiacs have always intrigued me. I've always wondered (not that I want to go through it, mind you) what it would be like to forget everything. To wake up to a world that was strange to you and inhabit the body of a stranger. To see these people around you that you're supposed to know, have a connection with, and feel and remember nothing at all. Broken With You did far more than intrigue me. It was sexy and intense and grabbed me by the guts, holding me in its thrall until the very end. My heart went out to these characters and I was crossing my fingers and toes that they would get a happy ending.

So what was it about?
❥ Denise's husband has been on a covert job and she hasn't seen him for two years. She's lonely and misses him. She's worried and her former employer won't give her much in the way of comfort. Until one day, her prayers are answered... or are they?
❥ After going deep on his last job, Mason wakes up not knowing who he is, where he is, or how he got to this point. However, he's still got his wits about him and is able to get in contact with the right people. A threat to national security is stuck in his mind and the memory cannot be forced. So although he is introduced to his wife, he can't be told she's his wife, that they're married, or anything else about his past.
❥ Mason can't help his attraction to Denise, but he tries very hard to fight it. Denise does everything she can to help him and fight against her instincts when it comes to the man she loves.
❥ The threat Mason is supposed to remember hits close to home and it's a race against time to save the world!

I loved how Mason was still drawn to Denise without remembering who she was to him. The author did an incredible job of describing the confusion associated with amnesia and how it effects the people who love the person who doesn't remember them. I felt Denise's pain and disappointment and I loved that although she was suffering, her love for Mason was so strong that she was there for him regardless. I loved getting insight into Mason's feelings and his struggles. Nothing beats dual perspectives. Getting to meet the people who make up Stark Security only makes me want to know more about them and I'll definitely be staying tuned for their stories!

Broken With You is part of a series, but I'd say this could be read alone as well.
J Kenner is an amazingly talented author, that's for sure. AS usual, the characters were well-developed, easy to relate to and like, and the book was a page-turner. check it out!

I am in the happy place to say that I liked book two more than I liked book 1! In my previous review, I mentioned that I hoping for a better continuation in the series and I got it which is great. The book can be read as stand-alone, but I think you should read the series in order. The prequel of the series (Shadows of you, which is/was free) features Mason and Denise and the night he got her pregnant. Many people from the Stark universe appear in this story but their time was short and they were your average secondary character. I liked catching up with them.

I didn't read the blurb of the book since this is J.Kenner and I just read her books without question and I was surprised by what we got from the first few chapters. I wasn't aware that Mason was tortured or that the result would be him losing his memory. What I would have liked to see in this book is Denny and Mason making steps in their relationship without the knowledge that they were married. I mean more than they already are. I wanted him not to remember almost as much as I wanted him to become the person he was before.

I felt like the tone of the book was different from what we are used to and that is not either a good or a bad thing. I liked the main character and I liked the journey of how they found their way back to each other. A big part of the book might seem a little slow and like nothing is happening, but the rest of it makes up for that. As I mentioned I liked the book a lot more than I liked book 1 and I would recommend it.

4.5 stars--BROKEN WITH YOU is the second instalment in J. Kenner’s contemporary, adult STARK SECURITY erotic, romantic suspense series-a spin off from the author’s numerous Stark Series. This is Special Forces soldier Mason, and his wife, Stark Security specialist Denise ‘Denny’ Walker’s story line. BROKEN WITH YOU can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and history. Denny and Mason’s story begins in the prequel, short story SHADOWS OF YOU (Stark Security .5)

Told from first person point of view (Denny), and third person Mason aka Jack, BROKEN WITH YOU follows the rekindling relationship between spouses Mason and Denise ‘Denny’ Walker. Mason Walker has been on assignment for close to two years but for a few hours in February would have to last Denny a lifetime when her husband disappeared, once again. Fast forward to present day wherein Denny’s husband would return a different man, a man who can no longer remember who he is, or the wife that he once loved. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Denny and Mason, and the potential fall-out as the ramifications of Mason’s last assignment threaten the woman he loves, and the possibility of thousands of other lives.

Denny Walker struggles with the absence of her husband, a man with whom she is deeply in love, but a man whose assignment has placed him in the direct line of fire. Mason Walker returned home to the unfamiliar: from the loss of information and knowledge, to the unknown including the missing years he spent with his wife, Mason battles between head and heart knowing that if and when the memories return, it may trigger a fall-out unlike anyone could have imagined.

The relationship between Denny and Mason is a rekindling romance, friendship, and relationship between a man whose memories have been wiped by an unknown source, and a woman who remembers everything but has been cautioned to reveal nothing to the man that she loves. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to Denny’s Stark Security co-workers and team: Quincy Radcliffe and Eliza Tucker, as well as Eliza’s sister Emma; Liam Foster, Ryan Hunter, Cass, Sylvia, Colonel Anderson Seagrave, Peter and Cerise, Nikki and Damien Stark.

BROKEN WITH YOU is an emotional and heart breaking story line of betrayal and second chances; an intriguing and twisted look at power and control; vengeance, wrath and treason. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is spicy and hot; the characters are broken, energetic and strong.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion. At first this book seemed to have a slow start but overall it was a great read.

Mason fights his way back to his wife although he has amnesia and doesn’t remember Denny. He knows they definitely have a strong attraction but she is married only he doesn’t realize it is to him.

Hold on, this action packed steamy romance will take you on a ride.

J Kenner is a newer to me author. She is not one that I have found myself gravitating toward in the past, but I enjoyed many of her Man of the Month books. So I was curious to read more by her, and picked up Broken with You. I very much enjoyed the suspense aspect of this book, and I really liked the characters. The plot was a little different than the typical romance books that I've read, which is definitely a plus for me. And while it wasn't necessary, I do wish I had read the first book in the Stark Security series first. I will go back and read Shattered with You, and look forward to the third book in this series!

I loved the stark series and this definitely lived up to my expectations! Another fabulous read from J Kenner! Thank you to NetGalley for the arc!

Broken With You is another great book by author J Kenner. This is the first book in this series with a female lead character. I think that was an interesting twist to the series. However, I did miss the alpha male lead characters from the past books in the series.

The two main characters, Denise and Mason, had great chemistry throughout the book! I can't wait to read more in this series.

I went into this book blind and even though I didn’t read any of the Stark books, I understood who was who.
Denise (Denny) works for a private security company. Her husband Mason has been undercover for the past 2 years for the government and she misses him.
When she gets the call that he’s been retrieved, but has lost his memory of her, she has to play by the rules and not tell him who she is.

I thought this was a good storyline. Started slow and then the last 30% it all came together. I will look out for Liam’s story!

I received this ebook copy from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.
