overall not a massive fan. but this is because im not a fan of chick lit honestly next time should stay away from genres im not a fan of!
I recently read and reviewed the prequel to this book, and I can safely say that this one is far better! I didn't struggle reading this as much as I did the first. overall not terrible, but to be honest it wasn't particularly interesting
Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.
After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.
I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.
Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.
I thought this book was a great sequel, as good if not slightly better than the first. It is an easy book to read and the writing flows easily and can just be dipped in to. Definitely has the feel good factor and characters that everyone can relate to
I will admit, I’ve never watched sprinkle of glitter, although I am aware of her YouTube channel. Pleasantly surprised by this book and enjoyed it more than I expected
I so enjoyed catching up with Robin Wilde again that I pre-ordered the third book in the series before I'd even finished this one. I really have grown to love the characters, especially Robin herself and find myself cheering her on at every turn. Love it!
Overall I liked this book and enjoyed Robin’s latest tale. It was definitely a story with a lot of emotion and touched on some difficult subjects. Louise Pentland writes with an easiness that truly engages the audience. Although at times some chapters felt a little long due to too much detail or over explaining. However I do look forward to the third instalment!
Super entertaining with a great storyline. It's so relatable, and realistic. You feel like you're a part of Robin's journey
I liked this book more than the first Robin Wilde story - I found the book much easier to follow and the writing much less clunky, although I still really liked Wilde Like Me a lot.
This was easy to get through and had much better pacing, although the major conflict happened way sooner than I was expecting.
Robin Wilde is a fun character and I can't wait to follow her on more adventures through life.
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I was so excited when I heard that there was another book coming out in this series.
This book was as good as the first one. The authors writing style was very good
Hoping that there is another book in the series
Really enjoyed this book & have just purchased the next one. Easy reading, likeable characters & all round nice easy read. I’d recommend to anyone!
Following on from the first books antics, we join Robin as she faces a challenging time as she finds herself in an unexpected situation with her lover from New York, Edward.
Meanwhile her friend Lacey is struggling to get pregnant still but her aunt Kath has found a new man, out of the blue! Whilst Robin and Lyla navigate many embarrassing mother moments and some also fun antics from play time to horse riding, crafting or just a good old party the pair are a cute duo to be championed!
The book was hilarious and had many moments in that were 'Miranda ' comedy alike. I found the storyline better in this second book as we see more of their personalities shine through from the characters in how they manage their relationships and deal with the delicate situations mentioned in the book from miscarriage to pregnancy. It was a lot of fun but very serious at times and was much like real life.
I read the first one and thought it was ok, this one wasn’t as good for me? The authors tendency to gloss over serious events or issues just didn’t sit too well with me. I understand the point of chick lit is escapism and this book offers that, but when dealing with life’s big issues they deserve, and the readers deserve, a better thought out dialogue
I enjoyed the first book but loved this one! Such a heartwarming and raw read I felt like I was reading about an old friend. Cant wait to read the next in the series.
I read the first Louise Pentland book 'Wilde Like Me' a couple of years ago and quite enjoyed it. I picked this one up when I was looking for something lighthearted. Robyn Wilde is picking up from the last book and is in a more stable position as a single mother. She has a high flying job as a makeup artist but naturally, she has some complications in her life throughout this novel. I thought it tackled sensitive events very well and it was a bit of an emotional read. I enjoyed it a lot more than expected and would definitely recommend as a beach read!
I love watching Louise Pentland on YouTube and enjoyed her first book in the Wilde series. This follow-up did not disappoint and was full of the same warmth, humour and relatable writing I have come to expect.
Wilde About the Girl is a 'feel-good' read whilst, at the same time, tackling some difficult issues with care and sensitivity. It was particularly interesting to get a child's perspective on this and I thought this was well-done.
I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next instalment in the Wilde adventures!
This book was fabulous. I loved every single chapter.
The writing style was amusing, fun and relevant. Louise has done a fantastic job at getting that spot on!
It touched on some subjects; death, infertility and miscarriages but, I believe in the right way. It was touched on sensitively and the way Robin communicates about these issues with her little girl is dealt with so well.
The book made me laugh out loud and cry in public. It's not often you get a book that can do both!
I would 100% recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
A wonderful sequel to the first book, so nice to be back with adorable characters and such a funny, engaging and emotional read. Such a strong loveable MC in Robyn. I loved it eve n more than the first.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
This is a fantastic follow up novel. Robyn is a bright and sparkly lead character, her life is a single mum is really relatable and enjoyable. A really brilliant summer read.
Wilde About the Girl is the second book in the Wilde series (with Wilde Like Me being the first) - and I must be honest, I actually enjoyed this second book quite a lot more than the first.
The writing is really good and offers a lot more depth. We continue to follow single mum Robyn Wilde, who is now in a much better place than she was previously. However, before long she has a number of new problems to contend with - a new opportunity at work (positive but also scary/time consuming), some bad habits her daughter is picking up at school, and a best friend who is desperately in need of support.
All in all, a really good read with some emotional parts, but some good laughs too.
