I was able to read the entire book, but I'm afraid it is still only worth one star. The story is quite a good one, but it is dragged down by one-dimensional, cliched characters, and poor writing. The first few pages give us a kitchen "suffused in a pale pink glow from the setting sun" followed by an "azure swimming pool...twinkling with a thousand dancing diamonds" Not my sort of book.

The star rating is for what I was able to read. This is apparently about half of the book, or less. It's a bit confusing when you're told to flip the book and start reading again as that's not possible on a Kindle... I loved the synopsis but I'm not sure that the chapters I read matched up to my expectations unfortunately.

Utterly confusing! Especially when reading on a kindle. I am actually very confused as to what I was reading and what was meant to happen at the end!

I’m glad I read others’ reviews before persevering with this book - it needs to be checked as it appears to abruptly end, with a direction to turn the book over! - a bit hard on a kindle!
Obviously something’s gone wrong here.

I hate leaving such a negative review, but honestly I'm so confused by this book! It sounds really interesting from the synopsis, but truthly nothing much happens and then it randomly ends, telling you to start reading again. Was this a weird formatting error? Was there supposed to be a second half to this book? If not, I'm afraid I really don't get it.

This is a strange book, ended in an odd place and directed us to turn over and start again. Presumably this was on purpose but I struggle to see what it was trying to say to us as readers. Unfortunately if it had a deeper message it’s gone over my head!

Well this was just plain weird! I agree with the previous reviewer, and wondered if there was an worry in the formatting? If not, this is not a good book.

Ummmm....what the hell is this? The book randomly ends at the end of a chapter with no conclusion to the story and it literally says to start reading it again. I don’t know why? I’m confused and not in the usual thriller confused way.
It took me less than an hour to read and while the synopsis sounds brilliant She has no surprises, no twists or turns. It’s just basic, the plot is basic, the characters are basic and the writing is basic.
Honestly I’m baffled. I don’t know what I’ve read and I’m not impressed. Congratulations She you’ve got my first 0 star review.
