This is a brand new author to me but what a cracking book this was. It kept me gripped from start to finish although some bits were hard to read. Loved this book and would definitely recommend it!

This is definitely going in my top 5 of best reads this year!
What an absolute rollercoaster ride, jam packed with twists and turns which take you in sp many directions.
The premise of this book had me hooked and wowzers, I did not leave me disappointed.
The characters are relatable, likeable (apart from Bella) and easy to picture.
Written from the POVs of Ben and Bella you get to read the inner mechanics of a controlling and somewhat volatile relationship. Ben is cut off from his family in the saddest of ways, leaving him alone, depressed, abused and not quite understanding how he got there.
The family dynamics, & relationships between the friends are extremely well written as well as the covering of such an important matter. Its rare to read a novel covering Male domestic abuse and this was coveted amazingly well.
The fact that this book brought such string emotions to the forefront just shows what a brilliant author HC Warner is!
Now I so badly wanted to give a 5* rating BUT a couple of things stopped me giving that extra half a star.
Firstly when the POV changes from Ben to Bella it basically recovers everything you have read in Part One so you do feel like your rereading but just with a slight difference.
Secondly, I felt the ending was pushed through really quickly, I would have liked for it to have had the tense build up as the rest of the story had.
Lastly, I was left with a couple of unanswered questions.. like Bella's father, what was it he was accused of?
All in all a FANTASTIC psychological thriller that will be a brainworm for days to come.
The biggest thanks to netgalley and HQ for the ARC.
4.5*

Well, well, well. What a read this was. To be honest, I really don't know what I was expecting from this book. Something about it just shouted READ ME!
So as I always do at the voices in my head tell me. A fantastic plot and a twist I didn't see coming. This book left me thinking about it long after I'd finished it.
This is a phycological thriller that will have you hooked. There was many times I was shouting at or about characters as I was reading, (in my head) But they were at times winding me up and I had to tell them. lol
When Ben splits with his girlfriend, the wonderful, beautiful Bella steps right into his life. Just the right time? A coincidence? or something more.
Can life with just the two of them be as perfect as Bella is making out.
As I said, this book stayed in my mind long after i'd finished it. It was brilliantly written. I would certainly want to read more books by this author.
This book covers not just physical domestic abuce but the mental abuse also and it's done brilliantly. This book is filled with secrets and shows how dangerous secrets can be.

This is one of the best thriller books that I've read this year.
Didn't know what to expect and it's just perfect for a quick suspenseful read with a killer twist at the end because i couldn't see it coming no matter what i thought i knew or predicted about it.
It's well written and fast-paced, it's very reliable in a way that many will find it interesting and quite surprising.
Loved it and will definitely recommend it.

Lately I was looking for this kind of book :with good plot! Interesting characters and a lot of twists! So I would say this book it's a perfect read for those that love thrillers and stories that have unpredictable end! Enjoyed and absolutely recommend it!

An interesting storyline with a twist. Well writen. I found it difficult to put the book down and enjoyed it throughout. I would be very interested in reading another book by this author.

This book had me hooked, I guessed the twist but it was still very well written & the detailing of the characters were great. I liked that it showed it from both characters sides & that it highlighted another side to domestic violence.

If you love a psychological thriller with a twist then SHE is a perfect read for you.
Ben is heartbroken after splitting up with his long term girlfriend and when the beautiful Bella walks into his life it seems like all his dreams might come true but instead what begins for him is a nightmare.
I loved the two perspectives of this book. In the first half we learn about Ben, his family and close friends and how he meets Bella and the progression of that relationship. Nearer the end of the book it switches to Bella’s point of view which gives us a great insight to her character. She is deliciously sexy but extremely devious.
This book tackles the important issue of the physical and mental abuse that men can suffer at their hands of their partners something that is often not discussed and it really highlights the toll it can take on someone’s mental and physical health.
I would of liked more of Bella’s background to of been explored but the hints that were mentioned were more than enough to make you begin to understand where her issues and personality traits have come from.
This book is packed full of secrets, sexiness and surprises!

What a fabulous book. Loved it. Having read a couple of the reviews, it was so much more than I had expected. I couldn’t put it down.
Broken-hearted by his ex-girlfriend Charlotte, Ben is completely bowled over by Bella and falls in love with her. Within weeks, she tells him that she’s pregnant and wishes to get married before the baby is born.
Ben is blissfully happy until Bella begins to change. She stops him from seeing his family and friends and slowly controls him until he’s a shadow of his former self. His life isn’t his own and everyone is worried about him.
This book is written from Ben’s perspective, then Bella’s and then from an overall perspective.
If you like a psychological thriller with a bit of a twist, you’ll absolutely love this. I did.
I rate this book 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thanks
Thank you to the author HC Warner and publishers HQ for an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for an independent review.

This is a dark gripping read. There is a lot happening throughout this story and some of it was difficult to read. It was good to see these behaviours being written about sympathetically and with empathy.
Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

I have to say I really enjoyed this book, I found it intriguing and the characters very relatable even the protagonist Bella at times. The storyline isn’t what you would expect from the how the book begins but it really works as the plot develops. And it helps you to relate to some of the main characters as you see it from their different perspectives.
I

I really enjoyed this. Fast paced and engaging, it was incredibly hard to put down and I think I read it pretty much in one go! Hearing the story from so many different angles adds to the layers of the story, and the character detail. A great read!

4 Stars from me
I blame Charlotte!
I loved the characters in SHE, even the horrid ones and there were a few, the family dynamics and relationships between friends felt really well constructed.
It was a difficult read in places as Warner pushes the reader to the edges of acceptability in terms of what constitutes 'story' and what constitutes 'shock value' and for me SHE is very firmly the right side of the line. An important subject matter seemed to me to be deal with in a very pragmatic manner.
I really thought I'd be giving SHE a 5 star rating but a couple of things just made that impossible for me - the part where the book flips to a different viewpoint, I have to be honest and say my heart sank, I really didn't want to have to read everything all over again. Plus there just seemed too many occasions where in reality people would have spoken up or stepped in.
Otherwise - and I am hesitant because I can see from other reviews that a lot of people are wild for the bit where the POV flips so please don't let my silly old opinion put you off - SHE is a great psychological thriller, I totally kept on turning the pages wanting to read more and see what would happen next.
Synopsis: She’s everything he dreamed of. Isn’t she? Ben can’t believe his luck when the beautiful Bella walks into his life, just when he needs her most.
Still bruised and vulnerable since breaking-up with long-term girlfriend, Charlotte, he falls head over heels in love.
But Bella isn’t quite the ideal partner that Ben believes her to be. She quickly decides that everything is better when it is just the two of them – making it harder for friend and family to stay in touch. And then a sudden death triggers a chain of events that throws Ben headlong into a nightmare…
Secrets, lies, vengeance, and betrayal are at the heart of this story about a family that is destroyed when their son brings home the perfect girl…

Really good book told from the point of view of both of the main characters. And then from the point of view of everyone around them. It was really well written and the characters were good too. It challenges the role of a married couple and faces some tough subjects but it's great

A great book full of twist and turns that kept me hooked from the first page. Bella appears to be the perfect woman for newly single Ben however, his parents don't approve. Family secrets are about to be uncovered as we follow Ben, Bella, Jo, Peter, Emma, Charlie, Matt and Freya as Ben and Bella's relationship builds.

Wow! I got swept up in this book and had to keep reading to find out what would happen next. The story is split into four parts and I honestly didn’t see the plot twists coming. Some of the scenes were a bit uncomfortable to read, but on the whole, I really enjoyed this book. I definitely recommend this book. Thank you #netgalley.

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy of this book. The description sounded great! however, a lot of this book was predictable to me. The baby, the dad etc. While the two perspectives were nice, it was basically a repeat and i skimmed most of part II. It maybe would have been better to switch to another perspective moving forward vs restating the same exact parts.

I loved the premise of this novel. I loved the twist and I enjoyed the easy reading style of the author's writing. However, I found it hard to understand the reasoning behind the actions of the female lead character in this and for this reason I didn't find the book as enjoyable as I perhaps might have done. The subject matter is a serious one and it is important that it was raised but the actions, to me, were inexplicable.

It starts with just the usual story of boy meets girl. Bella and Ben meet fall in love, get married, and have a child and then the story really starts...
This is a well paced psychological thriller, with perfectly timed twists. I liked the way that Part 1 is from Ben’s perspective and then it switches to Part 2 from Bella’s perspective with the 3rd part bringing us in to the present.
As the story progresses enough teasers and twists are dropped in to keep you interested and reading.
If you like psychological thrillers this is definitely worth a read.

Oh I love this book so much!
Part One of the story follows Ben who has just been dumped by his girlfriend of 12 years. He then meets Bella and everything moves very quickly. She falls pregnant, they have a shotgun wedding but her behaviour gets stranger and stranger. Bella is controlling Ben, emotionally abusing him which turns to physical abuse too. She cuts him off from his friends and family.
In Part Two of the book, we read the exact same story as Part One but this time it is from Bella's perspective and you just love to hate her. I read this through Kindle so it is linear but I have heard that in printed versions you are told to flip the book around and read it again? I need to get my hands on a physical copy when they are published!
It's such a great read and it's sad to follow Ben's story of domestic abuse. It's filled with twists which I absolutely love.
