Informative encyclopedia with beautiful photographs. Nothing particularly new here if you already have a library of Classics books but worth buying all the same. I've invested in a copy for my classroom library.

A well researched well written book complete with all the information you are likely to want. A book that deserves a place in anybody’s library.

I am a keen Historian, with an emphasis on Ancient Greece and Rome. Well worth a read, even just to look at the pictures.

I really enjoyed brushing up on my history and it was not the dry read I expected.

Amazing photos and interesting and well researched text makes this book an engaging and entertaining read.
I'd like to see the hard cover because it must be amazing.

I loved all the different color photos it has to offer and the way it was written bright Ancient Greece to life before my very eyes, while I knew a little bit about Ancient Greece I didn't know a hole lot about it ,and this book didn't let me down, it brought to life the the political history ,society ,wars , art ,architecture , culture as well as their philosophy and mythology which made the book so easy to get lost in and enjoy , not once did I want to stop reading it or put it down . With that said I want to thank Netgalley for.letting me read and review it exchange for my honest opinion.
