Another tense and thrilling ride into the world of Maddie and Harry. Really love how we get to see more of their characters each novel
One early Sunday morning, Diane Cummings is on her way to work when she sees a young boy covered in blood, she stops him and the case begins for Maddie Ives and Harry Blaker. He is scared, won't speak and covered in blood, the questions begin. Then man is found murdered. This is the 3rd in the Maddie Ives series that gets better as it goes on!
This story is, to be honest, a brutal and horrific one, but it just adds to the realism of todays policing and the world we live in. I love Charlie's writing and find he has a way to keep you in Maddie's world that is pretty unique! Fantastic book, highly recommended read for me! Thanks to joffe books and netgalley.
Maddie Ives and her team are faced with a difficult task, who is the boy covered in blood and whose blood is it? The team work well together and also have strong individual stories which makes the story enjoyable to read. I did have some reservations about one thread of the plot which did not quite ring true for me hence the 4 stars.
This is one intense, twisted, dark and addictive novel! Not only is this a very well-written book with wonderfully-interesting characters, but the suspense builds at just the right pace as the story unfolds. Compulsive, gripping and horrifying! Will keep you on the edge of your seat!
This is the 3rd installment in the DS Maddie Ives and DI Harry Blaker series. I had no idea that there were two previous books and I did not feel like I was missing out. This book can definitely be read as a stand alone.
The storyline was fairly original and I enjoyed all the twists and turns that brought the whole package to its surprising finale.
I really liked the relationship between Maddie & Harry and how their histories impact their growing relationship. I really like the vulnerability of Harry and the tragedy he has endured. Even though he is a by-the-book kind of guy he is still ultimately human and to experience his struggle with this is emotional to read. I look forward to more from this author.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
He will find you by Charlie Gallagher.
This is book 3 of the Detective Maddie Ives series.
Another brilliant read in this series. Maddie is great. I love Harry too. They work well together. Great story. I'm looking forward to the next book. 5*.
Who and where? This book hooks you in and leaves you wanting more with every chapter.
The first book I have read by the author but will not be the last
Thank you to Netgalley and Joffe Books for this e-copy in return for my honest review. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but after reading this one I definitely will. The book draws you in from the very first page and doesn't let go.
This book starts with a bang, where did the boy come from? Who's blood is he covered in?
This is the third book in the series with Maddie and Harry, but the first book that i have read in the series, and a great introduction - albeit I should have started with the first one!
I haven't read any of the other series, but after reading this one I definitely want to. This was a good thriller that kept your interest and made you want to keep reading.
So this is the third in the Maddie Ives series but works perfectly well as a standalone without feeling you’ve missed too much.
A boy is found bloodied and wandering the streets. He refuses to speak. Maddie Ives is the officer on duty and happens to land the case. A man is found dragged to death but it’s only the beginning. Can Maddie, along with her boss Harry Blaker piece things together before anyone else gets hurt?
My goodness what a book! He Will Find You is a complex but compelling story that blends several storylines together seamlessly.
I love Maddie as a character. She’s strong and a little stubborn, a former undercover officer who is still struggling to work as part of a team and not go off on her own but she still a very likeable character who you’d want in your corner if you ever needed it.
I also enjoyed seeing a more personal side to Harry Blaker who may have a gruff exterior but underneath he’s still struggling with the death of his wife and to connect with his daughters.
My only issue was I felt the first half of the book was a little slow paced but boy that ending, had me biting my nails!
He Will Find You is a tense and gripping police procedural that did not disappoint!
3rd in the Detective Maddie Ives series and as enjoyable as the first 2.
Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review.
A solid police procedural. From the start I was hooked wanting to know the boys story and felt myself racing to see if Rhiannon survived. Overall a great read. Was tickled by the inclusion of a glossary at the end of the book...loved that you didn't change the vocab for the American audience!
Having read and loved the second book of this series - He Will Kill You - featuring DS Maddie Ives of the Canterbury police, I was really looking forward to reading this third book - He Will Find You - and I was certainly not disappointed!
I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced and very tense thriller. It grabbed my attention from the get-go and never let up. The narrative was immensely gripping and really piqued my curiosity and I loved the descriptions of the setting in Kent and the surrounding area.
The book was shocking and brutal to read in parts but full credit to Charlie Gallagher’s writing that I found myself so deeply involved with these very memorable characters. I loved the author's portrayal of both Maddie, who was a professional and caring detective with plenty of attitude, as well as haunted Detective Harry Blaker and their camaraderie.
He Will Find You was such an exciting read and I have no hesitation in recommending it. I am looking forward to Charlie Gallagher's next offering.
I received a complimentary digital copy of this novel, at my own request, from Joffe Books via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.
This is the third book in the Maddie Ives series. It can be read as a stand alone but I think you will enjoy both the first books too.
We find Maddie and Harry are on the case of a young feral boy who won’t speak but is covered in blood. Maddie works out a way to speak to him and this leads them down the path to a shocking investigation involving the occult.
Overall this book held my interest and it built up to a fast paced ending.
I didn't realise that 'He Will Find you' by Charlie Gallagher is the third book in a series, not that it mattered. This book is perfectly fine to read as a standalone. This was an excellent thriller and had me turning the pages from start to finish. I am not going to write what the story is about as i prefer one to read the book for themselves, but i do recommend.
My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for my copy.
(Waiting Amazon to publish my review)
3 for neutral. I tried abc tried to read this book, but just could not get into it and finish it. I thought it was just written in a manner that did not capture my attention. I will update if able to enjoy at a later date.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review this book.
I enjoyed this book as I feel most fans of detective series will. Good characters and a interesting plot make this a good choice for a quick read.
Well written and interesting I really enjoyed the book.
I chose to read this book and all opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased. Thanks to NetGalley and Joffe Books!

Then a man is found brutally murdered, dragged to death. And Maddie and Detective Harry Blaker are determined to find out who is pulling the strings.

HE WILL FIND YOU: The new heart-pounding thriller from Charlie Gallagher. Maddie Ives faces her most dangerous adversary.
Perfect for fans of Kimberley Chambers, Damien Boyd, Rachel Abbott, Patricia Gibney or Mark Billingham, Angela Marsons, Mel Sherratt.
CHARLIE GALLAGHER a real policewoman, so knows how to tell a story and bring realism in the book.
Great characters, although a little slow for the first half of the book, heading to a three star book, but the second half really helps this book to a four star review.
The pace and excitement of the twists make this book a great read, especially for the last half of the book.
I did enjoy the rough, but soft deep down of Harry Blaker as well as Maddie Ives, two great stars of the show.
Gripping and tense last few chapters. Four stars
