I won’t be writing this review on a public forum (Amazon etc) but I will be honest on here. I feel awful doing this, but I just really couldn’t get into the book. I had to force myself to read 20% of it, and I found myself feeling like it was a chore, I was actively avoiding reading- which no book should make you do.
The start of the book was gripping, I enjoyed reading about the young boy, the relationship with the police man and lady, I enjoyed that. It was when the second part of the storyline was introduced about the young man meeting the other man in the cafe etc. This lost my attention as it felt very unbelievable and the style of writing changed, I think a different storyline might have been better.
I know writing isn’t easy, and I couldn’t write if I tried, but I am here to give an honest review, and I’m sorry but this is mine, I really do feel awful.
Do you want an exciting, scary and sleepless night? Then I highly suggest you read this while you hold your breath until the end!
That was a great read with lots of unexpected twists and turns. A child is discovered covered in blood, but won’t talk to anybody. Then bodies are found and killed in unusual ways, now to piece together the kills and work out who is the next target. The final capture of the killer seemed too rushed rushed, it would have been good to full that scene a bit more but overall It was an excellent book. Can’t wait to read more from the same author.

Where do I begin?! This book was based upon a female detective who feels like she has something to prove. This mindset ends up causing her to be careless with her work. she has a male superior who has a hard time giving up control and constantly putting down her ideas and thoughts. I like the relationship
Between these two characters. It was a little slow paced in the beginning but towards he end it felt like I was in a high speed chase. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot. I realized I was reading book three in the series and I have not read the first two. Either way, I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys British police thrillers.
I was given an ARC from Netgalley in return for my
Honest review
The story about a great police detective combo that get immersed in an investigation way bigger than they expected.
A kid is found barefoot walking between cars in the middle of the night. Nobody knows his name, he would not talk and he is covered in blood.
Maddie and Harry work together in the police department and even though they have different characters, they make for a great investigation team.
While investigating the kid's case other grusome murders happen. Are they all connected? Who is this kid that appeared out of the blue covered in somebody else's blood?
A fantastic thriller that will keep you hooked and entertained throughout the whole book.
I love this series of books. They are well written and have gripping storylines.
The story is brutal and horrific but it’s also a page turner that you won’t be able to put down.
A great book
I usually enjoy Charlie Gallagher's books but I found that this one really dragged to the point that I had to force myself to finish it. Sorry I wouldn't recommend this one.
As always Charlie Gallagher delivers a fab book. Tense and thrilling you can’t put it down. I recommend highly and also check out his other books, you won’t be disappointed! #NetGalley#HeWillFindYou
I had a bit of a struggle getting into this book. It took me a while to get it read. Part of my struggle was due to the differences between American English and British English. Sometimes I’d get pulled out of the flow of the story because I had to figure out a reference. Also I found it irritating that when outside the ground was referred to as the floor. The floor is inside in my world. I know these are nitpicking concerns but when appealing to a global audience, too much usage of terms that are not common without explanation is distracting.
The storyline itself was good for the most part. Police are called to the scene where a young boy is found wandering on the street. He’s barefoot, covered in blood and doesn’t speak. Before the police can get too far into this investigation, they get another case where it appears that a man has been dragged to his death behind a vehicle. The two cases begin to overlap and the investigators need to figure out the connections and who’s behind these crimes. I wanted to see a little more investigation into the cult-like online community that comes up as part of the investigation.
This book didn’t engage me as much as I would like and that could certainly be due to my personal preferences. Other reviewers have had vastly differing opinions from mine. Check it out for yourself.
This book was very well written. Nice and easy to read and flowed well. Had me on the edge of my seat. Wondering which way it was going to go. Great mystery can’t beat it.
This really was a race against time thriller, god it was a lot of fun to read and dive deep into the story. The characters were great and I really enjoyed read it.
I will be honest. I have some difficulty getting interested in this book. I had to force myself through the first few chapters, but I am so glad I did. The storyline eventually increased in drama and action, it just was slow coming. But good things come to those how wait. This series is now on my must read list , with every book there has been a marked improvement of the depth of storytelling, and the development of suspense and characters.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

My first reading of a Maddie Ives story, I found this a gripping and thrilling story line with crimes involving the dark side of the internet. Will certainly look forward to more from this author and his character Maddie Ives. Well recommended, a great read
This is the third in the Detective Maddie Ives series set in Canterbury, Kent by Charlie Gallagher, a former police officer. On a rainy Sunday morning, a confused, shaken and confused 10 year old boy covered in blood steps out into the traffic and Maddie arrives on the scene. The tense boy is either unable or cannot talk and on the verge of making a run for it, Maddie has her hands full trying to work out who he is and what happened. Then a man is found viciously murdered after being dragged along. Who is behind this? Maddie and the haunted Detective Harry Blaker, who have now begun to work together well as their personalities mesh well together investigate. On the web is a dark and wicked place that draws in the vulnerable, those who are alone, with mental health issues or violent tendencies. The multiple threads eventually begin to connect in what is a complex, twisted and dark case. Many thanks to Joffe Books for an ARC..
I loved this book! The blurb is overrated; that is a shame; because from the moment they picked up a blood-soaked little boy, who was not speaking; I was hooked. I was so afraid that whoever did that; would come back and finish what they started! I kept thinking to myself, are the doors locked, why isn't there a Policewoman with a gun there to protect him? Yes, I know, UK police do not carry weapons, only individual units! I must say there are many times in this book when I wanted to scream, get a gun!
This a story of an evil place on the web, and sucks in people who feel isolated, or mentally and physically dangerous!
I love that a real police officer wrote this book, I don't understand some of the terminology used by the DI, or the DS; and given how many British Books, and TV shows I watch, that is saying something!
I do know that I will be buying more books by this Author! Please, please tell me you will be doing a follow up with this group of detectives! This would make a great TV series! I have Roku; please stream BBC Shows on our US channel! We love 99 percent of the shows we pay for! No one writes or makes Mystery Thrillers like the Brits!
I highly recommend! Thank you Netgalley!
Must Read!

Great book will be reading other books by this author.
Will also recommend this book to others.
Great read! 5*****
He Will Find You by Charlie Gallagher is the third book in the DS Maddie Ives and DI Harry Blaker series and it was another brilliant book.
This book starts with a young boy walks out into the traffic. He is dazed, barefooted, and covered in blood.
Detective Maddie Ives is called to the scene, the young boy either cannot or will not speak.
Why is he covered in Blood? Its not his!!! Who's blood is it?
Why is he not speaking?? Can he speak?
A man is found brutally murdered, dragged to his death behind a truck. Are they connected?
If DS Maddie Ives and DI Harry Blaker don't stop the killer, he will strike again...........But, who will be next?
I highly recommended this series of book........Juts brilliant!
This book can easily be read as a stand-alone. However, I do recommend starting with Book 1 ...
Books in this wonderful Maddie Ives series in order:
🌟HE IS WATCHING YOU
🌟HE WILL KILL YOU
🌟HE WILL FIND YOU
I would like to thank NetGalley, Joffe Books and the author Charlie Gallagher for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.
What links a 10 year boy covered in blood and absolutely terrified and a man brutally and violently murdered ?, Detectives Maddie Ives and Harry Baker must find the link
Number 3 in the Maddie Ives series and just as good as the others
This is my second Maddie Ives book and for some reason I didn’t read the first in the series. That hasn’t taken away my enjoyment of this book. Another storyline that gripped me from the first page so I didn’t want to put it down. Plenty of twists and turns and intrigue to keep the reader hooked. There were two storylines running side by side until they merge later in the book and that makes for interesting reading. I would definitely recommend this book and author.
This is book 3 in the Maddie Ives series.
The adrenaline starts pumping at the beginning when a child covered in blood walks in front of a car. Quite where this fits into the story isn't clear until much later on.
Harry is dealing with some personal issues that give the reader a lot more insight into the character. The fatal accident that cost his wife her life comes back to haunt him and sees Harry struggling between right and wrong especially when his daughter's mental health is thrown into the mix.
Then there is the story which is complicated and it is this complexity that causes so many problems for the investigation. No clues and something dark and evil is going on. Can Maddie and Harry get a handle on what is actually going on before more people die?
This is an intriguing book that keeps the reader turning pages as we join Maddie and Harry in trying to work out what is going on, who is behind it and why.
Another great story.
