Wow an amazing book from a brilliant author. Keeps you wanting to read more and more to find out what happens. You won’t be able to put it down.
This was QUITE the engaging thriller! It kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering what would happen next. Be prepared to cancel plans and read until you are done! And the ending—-what a twist!
Do yourself a favour and read this book!
Melissa Slade is in prison serving a sentence for the murder of one of her twin daughters.
Ellie and Amber both are found dead within weeks of each other with similar circumstances. Is it a case of Sids or did she kill the babies? The jury found Melissa guilty of the second death only. Declaring the first a case of Sids but journalists Jonathon and Kelly now are given the job of covering the appeal for Melissa's freedom. They start to question everything about both babies and question if Melissa has spent years serving a sentence for a crime she didn't commit?

Innocent or guilty?
It’s a rollercoaster of a book. You’re constantly pointing fingers at everyone. I enjoyed reading from the three perspectives. A good read if youre looking for something to keep you on the edge of your seat
Very good book lots of twists and turns and definitely a page turner! The cover is perfect! Highly recommend!
The Guilty Mother was one of the best books I have read this year! I was immediately pulled into the story and struggled to put the book down. Well written, fast paced, and unpredictable. I gasped several times towards the end of the novel.
Another fantastic, twisted and scarily plausible read. Highly recommended for psychological thriller fans.

Really interesting and good read. Shows how some families can have many secrets and lies. Was surprised by the ending.
This is a thrilling edge of your seat read. You may think you have read books similar to this but this is not your typical children being murdered or missing type of book. Melissa gives birth to twins. One dies and then the other and then...she is put into prison for their deaths. Readers will ask yourselves did she kill one baby? Both babies? Or neither one of them? This story is one that will have you questioning it all as well as the characters. Don't miss out on this great read.
I actually thought I had this sussed from about halfway through the book, but I was totally wrong.... in more ways than one!!
I love books where the chapters are dedicated to a character and tells their part of the story... I find it so much easier to follow and this book just flowed so well as it told the main characters stories.
It’s so well written that one minute I was thinking Melissa was guilty, then I thought she wasn’t.... then I’d think she was! It made me even more indecisive than I normally am! Great book... loved it.... especially the Epilogue!! What a way to finish a book!
This book was entertaining At times and Dragonette times. You’re gonna have to read it to figure out if she did it or not.
I received a free e-copy of The Guilty Mother: Who Would you Believe by Diane Jeffrey from NetGalley for my honest review.
A twisted, thrilling read that kept me guessing until the very end!
Melissa, is sent to prison for the murder of her twin baby girls in 2013. But the question is, did she really do it?
Fast forward to 2018 and Journalist Jonathan Hunt. Jonathan covered Melissa’s case back in 2013. Now he is back on the same story because Melissa is granted an appeal. Maybe this time he can find out the truth behind the story.

So I started this book in August but I ran into a problem with my kindle and couldn't finish it until I got it fixed. The Guilty Mother is a Noir Fiction, Legal Thriller.
Jon & Kelly are journalists investigating a case that was back in the public's eye. Melissa was convicted of killing her twin babies and is serving life in prison. Melissa's first husband has gotten the right people to look at the case again to prove that there's a Miscarriage Of Justice in her case.
The story follows Jon & Kelly's investigation and entries from Melissa diary.
This was a gripping page-turner and I loved the characters. And the shocking twist at the end was jaw-dropping.

Thank you to NetGalley ,the publisher and the author for the chance to read and review this amazing 5 star read for an honest review !
The story is told by different POV's and time jumps. Rich in detail, the reader learns about it by peeling of layer after layer. It's cleverly handled and an enjoyable read.
Melissa is in.prison for murdering one of her twin daughters. The other one had died from cot death. Everyone that knows and loves Melissa know she's innocent. She wouldn't have ever hurt her baby.
At her conviction everyone was certain she was guilty. She had also been a police officer, so life in prison was a constant looking over her shoulder. Bad cops and baby killers are the lowest of the low and fellow prisoners were always trying to make you pay.
Due to the writings of journalists Jon and Kelly, and some new found evidence, Melissa is headed for a retrial or perhaps freedom. During the course of gathering information Jon and Kelly discover things about this case that leVe them wondering, who really killed this child?
Well written, great characters!
I was hooked from the start and loved twists! I was shocked and never would have figured it out on my own. Very smart and creative!!!
Thank you Netgalley for sending me this arc. I will be reviewing this book in the near future with an honest rating and review.
A good look at an some what over done genre. Not as gripping as I had hoped but still an quick and intriguing read.
Do you believe her or not? This sets the tone for this has she?/hasn’t she?, could she?, couldn’t she? book as your emotions, thoughts and ‘reckoning’ go left, right, back, forth and up and down
An extremely clever ‘keeps you on your toes’ psychological thriller where nothing is ‘cut and dried’ and even less is as you think you believe!
Melissa is either the biggest psychopathic child killer ever or the victim of something much more sinister
And now its her appeal, will the people who count believe her?, or will they be as baffled as we, the readers, are
The phrase ‘on the edge of your seat’ was made for this book, once started you wont want to finish until you know the outcome!
Tense and unpredictable, it is a story
full to the brim of drama, great characters, clever plot and sub and sub sub plots as this author does so well....I will leave her fate in your hands....but remember her life and future depends on her appeal......
