Ben and Aurelia have been best friends forever but they have no idea that they both want more. Afraid to mess up their friendship they keep their romantic feelings to themselves. Everything changes when a baby is left on Ben's doorstep. Cute friends to lovers -- and parents romance.
I like Ms. Foster's stories, but everything seems to just happen. Other than the push-pull at the beginning of the book, there was very little conflict.
However, I enjoyed the story.
I've read a few of this author's books and I've enjoyed the books that I've read from her, so I was looking forward to reading more from her! I know that she has lots of other books released, but I received an email from the publisher about this book and the synopsis sounded intriguing, so I decided to give it a read! After reading this book, I can say that it took me a few chapters to get into, but I found myself enjoying it more as it developed! The plot did develop at a nice pace and there was a lot of romance in it, which allowed for quite a few seriously hot scenes! I also loved the addition of the characters learning how to be parents because there were some funny scenes and some sad scenes! I also wasn't expecting to cry at the plot, but I did near the end because there were some very emotional scenes! The ending of this book also wasn't fully wrapped up, but I hope the characters story will continue in the next book! The characters were great and made this book better! Aurelia was the main female character, and in this book she had a new business and was looking forward to seeing how it would go! I liked Aurelia a lot in this book! She was there to support her love interest and help him with his new baby, even though she didn't necessarily have to! I loved the way that Aurelia was with her love interest too! She had always had feelings for him, but had never acted on them! Ben was the main male character and love interest of Aurelia! Ben got quite a shock in this book when a baby was left at his front door lol! Ben didn't have any experience with kids, so it was funny watching him learn how to be a father and balance a child with his demanding job! I felt like Ben took on the role of a father very well and he would do anything to protect his daughter! It was also easy to see how he felt about Aurelia and they worked well together! I loved that this book was written from both Aurelia and Ben's point of views! I wasn't sure if it was going to be before I started reading, but I'm really happy that it was! It allowed for more things to happen in the plot, especially as both characters didn't spend every second of the plot together and were dealing with their own situations! It helped me connect more with Aurelia and Ben too and see how they really felt for each other! This book was also written in third person, which I normally don't like, but I liked this book being written this way! I now can't wait to read the next book in this series! I'm excited about who the main characters are going to be and the synopsis has me very intrigued to read it, so I can't wait for it to release I know that the next book releases at the beginning of December, which isn't that long of a wait! I'll definitely be grabbing a copy of it once it releases and I look forward to giving it a read! The cover for this book is also absolutely perfect for it and would draw me to the book! ! I love it a lot and it definitely suits the feel of the book! The cover model is also the perfect Ben too!
Welcome back to the Dalton family. I enjoyed yet another sweet tale from the family witj a heart of gold. I laugh, I cried, I could have died...of laughter and joy at the closing scene. Foster fans will cheer!
I probably can't adequately put into words how much I loved this book. I loved Ben and Aurelia - friends for years and the way the romance evolved was so well done. What I love most about this book is the way they figure out how to care for Baby B together and work together to take care of the baby and take care of themselves and their newfound romance. No silly misunderstandings, just real talk. Loved how their families interact and added warmth and humor as well.
The ending is poignant and I cried. I fully admit the book made me cry. I can't imagine any parent reading this and not getting a little emotional at the end.
I highly recommend this book - Foster does such a tremendous job of making her readers vested in her characters. I can't wait for more from this series.
Many thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley.

Grab the tissues!!! This book was amazing!!! I loved Ben and Aurelia's friendship and how it blossomed into a relationship. You will not be disappointed!
Call Her Mine was such a fast and easy read! Loved the relationship between Aurelia and Ben. This story was such a breath of fresh air. It was so sweet and romantic! I also liked all of Ben's sisters. This was my first Melissa Foster book. I will definitely be starting on her backlist and will continue to read her new releases. I will post a full review on my blog and also Instagram.
Melissa Foster has another hit with Call Her Mine. I am usually not a fan of the surprise baby trope, but this was written skillfully and with a lot more heat than I expected from a book revolving around a baby found in the doorstep.
Ben and Aurelia, and their extended families, have been friends for years. They had always been attracted to each other but each of them felt that they were in the permanent "friend zone" so they never acted on it. Until a baby arrives on Ben's doorstep.
This is a story of friends who become so much more and grow from the experience. I loved Aurelia's grandmother who seemed like such a three-point but who is also wise and wonderful.
I recommend this book to readers who are already Melissa Foster fans and to those who are just reading her for the first time.
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
A friend to lovers book that I absolutely adored and read in a day. I loved that the story didn’t take long to jump the characters into romance. The story rolled smoothly and allowed me to really feel connected to both characters. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that I felt the drama and ending was a little rushed. I would of loved to see the story with a little more drama towards the end, but overall it was charming. A great way to start the new series.
I really enjoyed Call Her Mine. I will say that from the synopsis, I was worried that it was going to be like so many other books in this genre/troupe. But it was surprisingly completely different!
I liked how the story and relationship played out. This story had realistic characters, a sweet love story, an adorable baby and hot sex. Not to mention that the main character is a book store owner... hello dream job!!
I can't wait to read more in this series and from this author.
I read this in one sitting, I loved it, i’m not new to Melissa’s stories, one thing you can guarantee from her is the swoon effect...
and Ben & Aurelia definitely made me swoon, I loved how clueless they were of one another’s feelings towards one another. I loved everything, it made me laugh, it made me swoon, it made me awww, and it made me cry.
Once again Melissa has created another epic read, one that I highly recommend being read!!
This was a great quick read that was another good start to a new series. Ben and Aurelia's story was a quick friends to lovers story that had been in the making for a while. The pair had chemistry especially when an unexpected baby got thrown into the mix. I did feel that the arrival of the baby was a bit cliche but in the end, it worked for their story. Their story moved along quickly and I enjoyed the return of the characters from the Sugar Lake series as it was a good way to catch up with those characters. I Ben and Rel's story from the start and would recommend this quick read and start to this new series to others.
Melissa Foster is the queen of family and interconnected romances. She builds worlds that are incredibly connected and woven together seamlessly. This book is no exception. This book is a secret baby and friends to lovers romance - but flips both tropes on their heads. I was shocked that the central couple in question resolved their relationship within the first 1/3 of the book - and left the rest of the book to focus on baby and adjusting to their new relationship (with baby).
Also - who can resist a hero like Ben? Sweet, rich, not toxically masculine, and fully into his new fatherhood. Aurelia is a smart business woman and free spirit. Their relationship has been building for a long time and it shows in the way they fit together without a lot of drama or angst.
I picked this book up mid-series and although it is billed as stand-alone (and it is) - I think it would help to read some of the other books first so you would have a full picture of the family and parties involved. I had only read one other story, and I felt a bit lost on relationships and personalities at times.
Cute
What I liked:
The writing style
The characters
Friends to lovers
Part of a series: Harmony Pointe
Standalone
HEA
Epilogue
I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
Ben and Aurelia has been dancing around avoiding their attraction for years. It takes a baby to finally make them see the light. When a baby is left on Ben’s doorstep, the two have no idea what to do. While funny, Melissa shows the serious side of what instant parenthood really is, dirty diapers and decisions that change your world. But will it be enough to bring them together or tear them apart. They both learn it takes a village.
Call Her Mine is the first in Melissa Foster’s new series, Harmony Pointe and one of the best books I have read of hers in a while. If you enjoy a sweet romance with edgy scenes and always a HEA, this book promises a delightful reading.
From the first page to the last, this book will keep you turning pages. It has so much! Ben and Aurelia are so confident, yes so unsure. They’ve been friends forever, they both want more, but their timing is horrible. And life has a way of throwing you curve balls just to liven things up. Author Melissa Foster has expanded her scope with this one. It’s hot, it’s humorous, and some scenes are just too good. I laughed so hard reading chapter 3, cried during chapters 21 and 22, and ended with a happy sigh. This one is a keeper.
Aurelia & Ben are friends that won’t admit their feelings for each other because either wants to lose the friendship if the other doesn’t feel the same. They are so blind! All of their friends & family have tried to tell them but they don’t want to step out of their comfort zone. Then the unexpected happens. They discover an abandoned baby on the doorstep, Aurelia steps up to helping out, & the close proximity leads to the chemistry taking over!
I enjoyed this story. At the beginning, Ben acted like a typical male struggling with becoming a father but once he accepted it, he was all in. I loved that Bea actually brought Ben & Aurelia together. The families were completely supportive. Ben’s parents & Aurelia’s grandmother added so much to the story. They were the voices of reason. I laughed at Piper always wanting to go yell at or let someone have it. She’s so feisty & sure she’s right! If you want don’t mind a hero with faults, some cursing & lots of hot sexy action, you don’t want to miss this book!
A feisty book store owner, a sexy billionaire bachelor and a baby left on the front stoop are the focus of this best-friends to lovers story entitled Call Her Mine by Melissa Foster. . I liked Aurelia, so she was such a sweet girl who really stepped up to help her best friend Ben. Plus she owned a bookstore, she is my type of girl. Ben stepped up to care for a baby he wasn’t sure was his BUT I was annoyed to no end that he didn’t even know who the mom might be, why men can’t ask for a girls last name is beyond me. Just saying. But because of how he stepped right up to be a dad I can forgive him. The question that kept rearing its ugly head was did Aurelian and Ben get together because of the baby or was that just the catalyst to them finally acknowledging their true feelings?
I liked how the story and relationship played out. This story had realistic characters, a sweet love story, an adorable baby and hot sex. And there was one twist that broke my heart.
All in all, I enjoyed this story. No angst, a man trying to change a diaper blow out for the first time (hilarious!!) and a heroine who was beyond amazing (if you own a bookstore I want to be your friend). Call Her Mine releases on August 13, 2019.
I received an ARC from #netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion.
At first I thought this was a rom com because it was so funny. I soon realized that although there are a lot of funny moments in this book, it is so much more. There are plenty of poignant moments and a few very sad and emotional moments. I loved Aurelia and Ben. They are so funny I burst out laughing a lot. The chemistry between them are off the charts. What I loved best is that they love with their whole hearts. I can’t wait to read more in this series! I received an advance review copy from NetGalley for an honest review.
A great best friends to lovers story with plenty of humour.
These two had been friends for years both with feelings for the other but neither of them brave enough to voice it. Then a baby gets left on the H’s doorstep and then what follows is a story of two people learning how to look after a baby, whilst admitting their own feelings to each other. They were great as a little family and so supportive of each other it made you think what took them so long! The secondary characters were all really good and the humour amongst this group of family and friends was highly entertaining.
