Fantastic book! Melissa continues to surprise her readers every time.

This book was just so cute and fluffy but there were also problems - real problems which were life changers and the characters had to deal with them as best as possible and the characters evolved as they attempted to adjust to the changes that were rapidly happening and tried to control their fates as much as they could.

Ben and Aurelia have been best friends since forever, they do literally everything together and share everything with each other, except one thing - that they are both in love with each other.
There is so much mutual pining and repressed emotions and it kills me because it was all expressed so wonderfully and I was just waiting for it to finally come out and when it does, it does so at a moment we did not expect and it is all so sudden but also, perfect!

When Aurelia finds a baby on Ben's doorstep just as she is leaving, whom they dub to be Baby B, since it is presumably Ben's, they do not know what to do. hey are scared and surprised and just, in shock but Aurelia stays by ben's side and helps him figure it all out.

Aurelia is one of the best characters ever - she is kind and compassionate and loving. She helps Ben take care of the baby even though she has just moved to a new town and had to open a bookshop. She is there for Ben when he needs her and she tries to stay as strong as she can while she gives Ben and the baby all her love.

Ben is also a great character. He has made mistakes and he accepts it and he tries to do the best he can! He tries to do his best by the baby, making a list of things he needs for her and just giving her love, care and comfort even when he does not know for sure if the baby is his.

It is a tumultuous journey and it is really scary, both for Ben and Aurelia but they find their way through it all, working together and getting closer than ever!

This book really shows how your best comes out in a stressful situation and how, sometimes, you are unable to cope with ti but if you keep trying, you are successful at the end.

There are also such fluffy, cute scenes with Ben and Aurelia, and Ben is just the sweetest guy I know! From the things he says to the way he treats Aurelia, he is perfect and I love him a lot.

I really loved and enjoyed the book, so much that I finished it in just one day.

Ben has loved his friend Aurelia for years even if he won’t admit it to himself which is why he has never proceeded beyond one night with any other woman. He has a methodical and analytical way of thinking and he has finally accepted that he and Aurelia are meant to be but before he can do that she throws a curveball that leaves him reeling.

Aurelia has loved her best friend for years but believes that is all they will ever do. She decides to put a little separation between them so that she have a new beginning but a unexpected package left for Ben has her rethinking that plan.

There is no one else that Ben would turn to or trust when a baby enters his life and although the baby melts both their hearts will this finally bring them together as they are meant to be or will his past dictate that they can never be more than friends?

Full of emotion this is a friends to lovers story between two people who have always belonged together.

Ben and Aurelia have been best friends their whole lives while both being too dumb to admit they were in love with each other. But surprise! A baby left on Ben’s doorstep changes their entire dynamic as they navigate what life looks like with baby Bea and with each other.

I thought this book was just ok. I don’t feel like we got nearly enough character development before we went from zero to mayday. The whole beginning of the book felt really abrupt to me. And, despite how much Ben and Aurelia repeatedly tell us how much they love the other, I felt like their chemistry was kind of cheesy. I never felt that connection that I crave from a couple that I’m totally routing for.

I also feel like there were sooooooo many characters in this book that I needed to create a flow chart to keep up with who is who. The supporting characters were great, but they were so much to keep up with. At times, I found myself liking the supporting cast more than the main characters, and I wanted to keep reading more of their interactions.

The story was cute. There were definitely moments that made me laugh out loud and other moments that made me cry like baby Bea. So, props to any book that can pull at the heartstrings. But for a love story 20 years in the making, it actually felt REALLY rushed. This book is an easy, light, fluffy read if that’s what you’re looking for.

The Dalton family is back and it’s time for Ben to get his act together. Call Her Mine brings together best friends Aurelia and Ben with having to deal with not only a baby that has been left but also their feelings for one another. Aurelia is a smart, funny, independent woman who is tired of waiting for Ben and wants to start living her life. While Ben has always known what he wants and has gone out and gotten it. I enjoyed their story because even though they both had been in love with the other one, they still were able to be vulnerable with one another. They also had to still work at the relationship, it didn’t just fall into place without any issues. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series!

Aurelia has been in love with Ben for a long time. He is her best friend and knows everything about her, but she can’t keep waiting on him to realize that they should be together. But no matter what she always gets pulled back by him, and this time he has a baby.

Ben loves Aurelia but it feels like every time he tries to tell her something comes up and now that she has moved to a new town, he knows he needs to do something. But what he isn’t expecting is to find a baby at his doorstep. He knows that Aurelia will help him no matter what so he will impose on her one more time to help, and hopefully he can show her how he feels about her at the same time.

As Aurelia and Ben take care of baby B, they finally come clean about how they feel about one another, but with a baby and a town between them, will they be able to make it work? Aurelia has finally started the life she has always wanted but she also wants Ben, will they have their happily ever after?

Call Her Mine by Melissa Foster is a story about best friends too afraid to share their feelings with each other. They are afraid of rejection and losing their friendship if the other doesn’t share the same romantic feelings.

Bea brings Ben and Aurelia together. She is a baby that was abandoned on the doorstep. After some bumps in the road they discover their way to each other and to love and parent Bea.

Ben’s parents and Aurelia’s grandmother bring so much richness to the story.

Ben and Aurelia are flawed humans who want to do the right thing and are better together than alone.

Melissa Foster is one of my top ten favorite authors. She never fails to deliver a great story and Call Her Mine is another success to add to her list of excellent books. A delightful series with surprises, friendship, romance and fun. In my opinion this is another "must read" from Melissa Foster. I received this ARC from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I just finished Call Her Mine by Melissa Foster. It was a happy read with an emotional ending. It had a different pacing than most contemporary romances, which was refreshing. The leads definitely had chemistry and if you read a romance for the sexy scenes you’ll get plenty of those.

I also liked the way the struggle of parenting was portrayed and the discussion of being a parent not making you superhuman. That was definitely a timely topic.

The only drawback in this book for me was that it was a bit too saccharine or cheesy at times. Ben was maybe too perfect for the majority of the book. The sap could have been turned down a few notches. But, all in all, it was worth the read! Definitely check it out if you’re into the “instafamily” trope.

This was cute, but having not read any other books in the related series, I felt as if I was swimming in a sea of characters that I didn't really know or care about. Parts of it also seemed unnecessarily long and drawn-out -- again, mostly revolving around time spent with characters that I didn't know. This was pitched as being able to be read as a standalone, and while technically true, it didn't FEEL like a standalone. It felt like a book that was written for fans of the related series -- and having not read those other books, I felt a little "left out."

I also wish that there had been a little bit more tension drawn out between the two main characters; it felt like they fell into a romantic relationship SO quickly, and I missed the drama of the build-up.

I'm certain fans of the related series will enjoy this one, but coming at it as a new reader, it just wasn't for me.

Call Her Mine is definitely a friends to lovers type romance. I enjoyed the story; however, I wish the path to becoming a couple had been a bit more substantial. Ben and Aurelia fall into coupledom rather quickly once the baby appears. They've been friends forever with deeper feeling that neither have confessed. Aurelia wants a fresh start in a new town, so she is leaving. Then, a baby appears on Ben's doorstep, and viola! Everything falls into place, and a good portion of the book becomes lessons in parenting a baby. It's humorous at times, changing tables should be in every men's restroom! Ben and Aurelia are a sweet loving couple, and they are adorable and relatable parents. Despite the early ease of their relationship coming together, they do face trials and heartache later on in the story. I'm glad because it made their situation more compelling and believable. Overall, I think romance readers who don't mind a few cliches will enjoy this book. I wanted more complications, but that's just a matter of personal preference It's a charming story that has heart, humour, sweetness and warmth. Call Her Mine is a nice light and easy read.⁣⁣

ahh let me start off by saying that no I did not hate this book, however it was not what I was expecting, and there where some reasons for that. One of the reasons was that I read the reviews previously to reading and so I was expecting more, second was that I haven't read a book from Melissa for years and when I did I wasn't reviewing books (which totally is not important) I know I am rambling now, but my point was that it was a loooong long time ago and I think that my reading has matured some or maybe just changed because I remember enjoying the books of hers that I have read and this one I found it to be cheesy. Let me explain just a little, Aurelia has been in love with Ben for years and so she claims (claims because does not stick with this plan) that in order for her to be able to move on to a love interest and not compare them to her male bestie Ben she is starting a new chapter of her life, so she moves to a new town, buys a book store and has a plan yet when Ben calls her she crumbles. Ben supposedly is in love with Aurelia for a long time too but has never found the right time, yet he is shockingly-yes sarcasm a manwhore. Claims he sleeps with others in order to forget Aurelia-yeah that makes sense and shows how much he truly loves her, yup that is certainly the way. Now he has a baby and finally gets the guts to tell her and get this she jumps at chance because he truly loves her and she missed the signs. Yeah, that makes so much sense in two seconds flat they are so so so in love and disgustingly sweet and become the family they always wanted..Yeah I do not think I can read another book like this, So not worth a 2 in my book but definitely not a 4, and sorry Ms. Foster but this is the end for us.

This is the second book I’ve read by Melissa Foster. I was not overly fond of that previous book, so I hesitated before accepting the request from the publisher, via Net-Galley, to read and review for my blog. Wow, I’m so glad I accepted! My opinions are my own and are not influence in any way.

Call Her Mine is a delightfully humorous romance with engaging characters. It had plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, along with deeply emotional scenes as well, especially toward the end. While the angst is practically nil, that didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of this story. For me, so often there is way too much angst in many contemporary romances.

Some reviewers didn’t enjoy the part of the plot that centered around learning to care for a newborn, but I thoroughly enjoyed those scenes. Many of those had me chuckling at their antics, I easily identified with the first experiences of caring for a baby. Now I do agree that things work out perhaps a bit too easily between Ben and Aurelia, and at times, their relationship is a tad too sweet, which is why this didn’t earn my top rating.

Aurelia’s character runs true to her chosen profession. She owns a bookstore and, is of course, a bookworm as you would expect, but there’s more to her character than that. She’s clearly a born entrepreneur, finding a niche is a dying market. She shows great originality with her story times, which draws in her customers. Her immediately desire to help Ben with Bea, felt very real to me. I would have fallen instantly in love with the adorable baby as well, and I could understand her fast acceptance when she learns, her unrequited feelings for Ben are returned.

Ben is a drool-worthy hero with his dark good looks. His immediate acceptance that the baby could be his was a tad unrealistic, since he’s apparently always used protection. His reasoning behind finding Bea’s mom is solely based on assuring his full custody of the infant, not because he doesn’t want the sweet baby. While all that is admirable, it would have been more realistic if he’d at least second guessed his feelings a bit.

The romance between Ben and Aurelia moves incredibly fast. However, they have been best friends for quite some time. It’s not like they have to get to know each other. It’s more a matter of each character not wanting to do anything that could potentially destroy their close relationship. Let’s face it, when sex enters it completely changes the dynamics of any relationship. I would have enjoyed a bit more internal conflict regarding those changes.

While I did struggle with a few aspects of the book, it didn’t take away from the other delightful aspects of this enchanting romance. I’m so glad I didn’t pass up the opportunity to read this sweet love story. Happy reading!

Call Her Mine is a wonderful story full of emotionally changed and heartwarming moments. My emotions were taken from warm and fuzzy feelings to heart wrenching moments that had the tears brimming in my eyes and back again. Ben, Aurelia & Baby B and all of the rest of the wonderful characters that made up this story.

This incredible romance is about Ben Dalton and Aurelia Stark and prepare to completely swoon! If you have read some of Melissa Foster’s other novels, you are probably familiar with Ben’s sisters, Remi and so on, but this can be read as a stand-alone. Anyway, Ben and Aurelia have been best friends forever even though they have been secretly pining for one another. Aurelia has just moved away to a nearby small town to open a bookstore but still hangs out with Ben, spends the night, etc. Ben has been trying to find the right time to tell Aurelia how he really feels about her when everything changes upon finding a baby in a basket on his doorstep.

So, I must admit that I tend to read other reviews of novels if available as I am writing my own. Mainly, I don’t want to be repetitive, but I also am insanely curious about what other readers think. I’ve seen fabulous reviews and some that weren’t the greatest. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, of course, but I couldn’t help but feel defensive when I saw some negative reviews. Why you ask?

I couldn’t even venture to guess how many novels I have read by Melissa Foster, but this is without a doubt my favorite. Yes, I’ve said this before about some of her books, but hands-down this one gets it. Yes, Ben and Aurelia resolved things between them quickly in this one, but it wasn’t just about them. Coming from Melissa Foster, this novel is a romance blended with a lot of family and friends. However, the focus of this novel, in my opinion, was two young adults (neither having any clue what to do with a baby) learning what is truly important in life. I am accustomed to laughing (hysterically at times) at some of the comments and actions of Foster’s characters, but this one also brought me to tears several times. Some were sad tears but for the most part, they were happy tears.

This novel is full of so much emotion and as someone that has read a zillion of Melissa Foster’s books, I feel that Call Her Mine shows growth and progress regarding her writing, despite her already being such a talented and successful author. It’s messy, funny, sad, romantic, sexy, and will make your heart so full that you’ll feel like it could burst. How she ever even thought up anyone as fabulous as Ben is beyond me, and Aurelia’s character is about as wonderful, patient, and loving as a person could be. Call Her Mine comes with my highest recommendations regarding what to add to your TBR, and it was my honor and pleasure to read and review this one!

Ben and Aruelia made such an amazing couple and Bea was absolutely adorable. This story was one that I had trouble putting down to do simple things like sleep and work. This story just flowed and the reason behind everything was heartbreaking. I laughed out loud and had to prevent myself from crying while reading this story. Melissa Foster wrote a fantastic book and I eagerly await her next story.

First time reading a Foster novel and it was awesome! Overall I enjoyed the book. I love a good friends to lovers novel, and right off the bat you can tell these two had a ton of chemistry.

I didn’t know before going in that some of the characters were from past novels, so I was a little lost at first on who was who, but the author did a great job of weaving the missing pieces in.

A baby makes the book 100x better, especially when it’s a surprise!! Bam, now the Hero is changing diapers and became this big softy.

It was a fun read. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Having read previous books involving the Dalton family, I have to admit I was looking forward to Ben's story. Although, the first few pages had me wondering just why I wanted to read Ben's story when he was being such an unbelievable jerk. Fortunately, the likeable Ben of the Sugar Lake series made a reappearance and he redeemed himself with this reader. This is the first book in a new series but at least half of the characters are familiar from previous books. However, it is not necessary to have read those books in order to enjoy this one but I would recommend it just to get the full experience of the Dalton family dynamics and the long term friendship between Ben and Aurelia for this friends to lovers romance. So after a bumpy start, this was an enjoyable romance and series starter.

Friends to lovers is always a great story line.
Ben has been pining for his best friend and waiting for the right time to tell Aurelia that he has been in love with her . Aurelia has the hottest best friend named Ben and it’s been hard to be around him while he goes out and has his one night stands.
Aurelia is strong and independent character but has such a soft spot for Ben. Ben is sweet and sexy and in this story the teddy bear comes out. She has moved to a new town and is about to open a bookstore and try to move past her feelings. Ben never has great timing when a present is left on his doorstep and now as he comes clean with how he feels will Aurelia be able to return his feelings? As they try to navigate their friendship and life they hope that the odds are in their favor.

Love this story they have a special bond and it’s frustrating and heartwarming at the same time. The cover is so hot and that alone should make you read this story! Great read and a definite one click.

CALL HER MINE by Melissa Foster. Having read many, many books by this author, I was a bit disappointed by this one. This is the story of Ben and Aurelia and a baby on the doorstep. There were many smiles as our lovely couple navigated parenthood together, however, not always as they navigated their relationship. For me, things went just too smoothly for new parents who are also a new couple At times, I adored Ben, the Hero, and other times, I truly just wanted to smack him upside the head. And Aurelia, again, often I loved her, yet too often, I just shook my head at her. I often felt that emotions were glossed over - for Aurelia especially. I found her just a too bit understanding of the situation. Overall, the story was easy to read and flows, as Ms. Foster certainly has a wonderful writing style. This story just didn't do it for me as much as some of her previous works did. I look forward to reading future works by this author because, as with many books, sometimes you mesh and sometimes you don't and this one just didn't blow me away. Ben and Aurelia story had the style of yesterday’s romance books which I love. It definitely had more heat to it though haha. The friends to lovers trope makes me happy too. The fact that story is filled with family and friends makes it a full read. Ugh the icing on the cake is when you add a sweet little surprise baby to it all. Eek ovary twinge.

I have to admit that I wasn’t always in love with Ben and Aurelia. They seemed a bit shallow and ridiculous at times especially when the baby first appeared. It wasn’t always believable to me. I know, I know, it is a romance which is a genre that embraces the far fetched. Hee hee. The story also seem to get tedious and I started racing through it. I definitely had a hard time at the end. The heartbreak really overshadowed the HEA. Yes I am probably too sensitive. I won’t say more. You have to read it to see if you agree.
