Interesting character development and a great storyline made this a memorable read. I really enjoyed Tempt Me and can't wait to read more by this author in the future.

This book was full of steamy moments and a second chance romance that goes through a lot of suspenseful moments.
It was interesting to read about the characters jobs and how each one puts their careers first but how they are humans as well and have feelings and a heart that can break at any time. It felt like one of those situations where communication it’s the key to everything but stubbornness will win over it.

Tempt me by Maddie James.
Detective Jordan Cross has one thing on her mind—get the bastard killing kids in her small southern city; the person she thinks is also responsible for her niece’s disappearance.
Journalist Tate Walker has a similar goal—keep the people of his city informed about the serial killer, and perhaps write a Pulitzer-worthy story in the process.
When Jordan and Tate’s lives careen together around the case, they pick up the battles of their pasts and carry them forward—battles of trust and mistrust, lust and love, truths and misunderstandings. Determined to keep her focus on the case, Jordan finds it difficult to resist Tate’s sexual temptations. Tate uses every advantage to tempt her back into his bed. Then, thrust into a dangerous situation, those battles suddenly fall away—and the only battle left to fight is for their lives—and their love.
A fantastic read with some great characters. Loved Jordan and Tate. 5*.

“A moment of cat-and-mouse danced between them... Lately, all those sparks ignited were confrontational disagreements—their differing opinions of how each did their work.”

From lovers, to exes, to working on opposite sides of a case. What happens when your separate worlds collide and you have a different perspective on how to solve a case that is very personal?

“She hoped he wasn’t running away with her heart. She sure as hell didn’t need to lose her heart right now. Not to him. Not again. She might be losing her mind, but she needed to keep a good and tight grip on her heart.”

This book is filled with regret, mystery, fear, revenge, desperation, love, loss, alpha steaminess, hope and despair. I love the flashbacks and points of view the book is written in...it adds to the drama and keeping you on the edge of your seat while piecing the mystery together.

““I feel like I’m coming a little unglued.”
“Let me be the glue to put you back together.””

This was an erotic thriller.
This was a great story, although I had a hard time getting into it at first. So glad I didn't give up.
Jordan is a detective and Tate is an investigative reporter. After a month of intense sex, they find themselves drunk and married. Six weeks later, the marriage explodes and they each continue on with their lives. When Tate gets a hot tip about a girl who has been kidnapped by someone believed to be a serial kidnapper/killer, he shares it with Jordan, who happens to be leading this investigation. When their worlds collide, the sparks fly and so does the emotions.
Working together they will have to fight for their lives and each other to try to get a happy ending for everyone.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Tempt Me by Maddie James is an erotic thriller that will pull you in. Despite jumping back and forth in time this was a good story. I loved that the heroine was a cop and the hero was a journalist. The chemistry between them was hot, hot, hot! The passion between them was obvious even when they were at odds. I’m glad I didn’t give up on this story and we all get a happy ending.

I thought this was a reasonably good romantic suspense story but it could have been so much better. I'm not a prude and don't mind a bit of sex in a book but this one really would have benefitted from less sex and more story. The murdered children were hardly mentioned and there was nothing much about their families. It felt as if their story was just an addition to prop up the story of Jordan and Tate's relationship. I think the author should read a few books by the more popular romantic suspense novellists such as Allison Brennan or Karen Rose to see how they divide up their books.

In regards to read, my feelings are somewhat conflicted. One end, this wasn't as bad as I had originally anticipated based off the reviews I have read from other readers and then the other end, some reviews definitely were justified and I can completely understand why they weren't pleased with this 'romantic suspense'. The characters weren't likable, the plot was just below average and the overall novel didn't meet my expectations. Additional to that, the heroine obsession with the Lexa's case got tiring after a while and her actions were reckless at best. Nevertheless I did like other aspects of our leading heroine but not enough to win me over. Generally speaking this was an average read and I'm sure I'll forget about this tomorrow.

I don't mind sex in books, but when the first chapter starts out hot and heavy, I was a little put off. The story line was good but it seemed secondary to the sex. I feel this would have been a better book with more concentration on the mystery. Not my cup of tea. I received an e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

The story starts off with a hot and heavy sex scene and the story focus on sex. While hoping to find a story that isn't about sex is very difficult to the point the story has zero point and lacks focus.
Its all about her body and its reaction to him.
The story falls shot in every way.
Thank you Netgalley for the copy of Maddie James Tempt Me
