This is an easy, and somewhat predictable read. That being said, it’s well written, pacy and draws you in quickly. I enjoyed it and read it on a day.
Georgia can't believe her luck when she meets Luke. He's good looking, well-mannered and best of all he's really into her. There is a hitch though - isn't there always - he's broken up with his ex, Cadence but he's still living with her. Soon Georgia starts to get threatening messages from Cadence. It's clear she doesn't think that her relationship is over and Georgia worries about what she's going to do.
This is an easy read, a bit of a page turner even if it is obvious what's going on from quite early on. It might be just me but I seem to have read a lot of books like this recently and I feel that it's time for a new trend. But it will satisfy those who like the psychological thriller genre. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
3.5/5.
The Ex-Girlfriend is enjoyable and terrifying although it does have serious faults. Can be a little slow at parts and I found it predictable but if love this kind of creepy thriller that makes you question yourself then I can recommend!
