This was a beautiful, touching story about friendship, finding your voice, nature, and greed. Pinholster did an excellent job bringing the characters to life, and letting the reader get to know Arden and Parker intimately, as if they were your own old friends. I loved how vivid the imagery is, it was like stepping right into the pages of the book. The plot moves along smoothly, and will evoke some strong emotions along the way. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys literary or women's fiction.

This was a breathtakingly enjoyable read with stellar writing. The author's ability to make even the most minute detail come to life is truly a gift. I cannot wait to read more from this brilliant author in the future!

City in a Forest is a really well written book. I loved it, especially Arden. I want to go and see her sculptures and masks. It is a very moving read and I can't wait to read more from Ginger Pinholster.
