This was strong and original dystopian fiction -- the perfect read for an example of a storyline that balances the needs of this kind of narrative. NJ Crosskey, who I am just now encountering in writing, described this setting well, set up the societal issues early on, and remarks on current issues through the plot. The book delivers an interesting protagonist who serves as our guide and I genuinely enjoyed reading this.
