Good Girls was a decent book. It took me awhile to get through it. It was the story of a woman and her relationships with the most prominent people in her life. I received an ARC from Netgalley and this is my honest review.

Excellent book with a clear cut depiction of characters. The storyline is fluid and constant, and my concentration never waived. Highly recommended.

This was a beautifully evocative book with characters that drew you in from the start. I’m loathe to give any spoilers so I’ll keep this brief.

Eleanor and Kat are sisters with a difficult relationship. Early on there is an email from Nick and this begins our dual timeline, dual location story, Each character is beautifully written and the relationships between them are meaningful and carefully described.

I enjoyed this book and will recommend it to others as a well written, charming and interesting story. Special shout out to the character of Trevor- I thought he was perfect.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for my copy of this book.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the eARC.
This is a wonderful book, I enjoyed it a lot. It tells the story of the Keating family who has moved to the country from London in the 1980's The father, Vincent, is a priest and his wife Connie is unhappy with the move. Their two daughters, Kat and Eleanor are close; Kat the spitting image of her beautiful mother, whereas Eleanor takes after her father. She's a big, ungainly girl who looks after her little sister and adores her.
Sadly, the two girls are no longer close as grownups. In the present, Eleanor finds out Kat has had a tumor removed and visits Kat and her family, an uncomfortable meeting. Kat is contacted by an old friend of theirs, a doctor who's now living in Cape Town with his wife and two daughters. This contact is the start of an uncomfortable remembrance of Eleanor's college years, with subsequent painful memories and much soul searching.
It's hard for me to continue without spoilers, but I can say I adored this book; it's sad, it's thought provoking and ultimately very uplifting. A lovely read that I recommend highly.
