Clear and simple to use, with good guidance and clear steps. I loved the guidance in this book and the whole premise of it. I am still working my way through it, and I can see this book being one I go back to time and time again.

I love this! I absolutely believe we all have intuition and we should listen to it more. Societal pressures and obligations can dampen it... I think working on toning it is a wonderful and powerful activity.

I flipped through this ARC, then became ill and wasn’t able to review. However, having a period of illness has allowed me to use this in a way I might not have if I’d been well. The journal has four seasonal sections, with each section further divided into 13 weeks to run for a full year and I’m about six months through, I have even used this more recently with clients and writing groups. At the centre of the course, is something we counsellors have to learn when training - active listening. We don’t just use this on clients, but when reflecting on our work in supervision we are asked to turn these active listening skills on ourselves. This helps us to root out bias and prejudice, issues maybe we haven’t dealt with yet and how our practice is impacting on our lives, health and relationships.
I found the journal clear and easy to use. It asks us to explore the light and shadow parts of ourselves, think about what we like to nurture and why, to what we need to let go of. It helped my enormously through a period where I didn’t have supervision and made me think more clearly about they type of therapist I would like to be.

I stumbled on this book at a time where I was going through some really dark stuff in my life. Trouble at work, losing loved ones, bad relationship. I jumped into this half-heartedly, but it made a huge change in my outlook. As my outlook improved, so did the world around me. Highly recommended.

More Workbook Than Journal

This book starts with a nice discussion of intuition but pretty quickly turns into a solid workbook that guides you through four different phases of working with your intuition. I enjoyed the initial, though brief, look at the topic and the author's take on it. I like that she incorporated other modalities into the book as well, like crystals and chakras. I, too, believe in the unseen connections between body, mind, and spirit. If you feel like exploring your intuition, this workbook might be just what you're looking for.

For some people who are possibly predisposed to being pessimistic like myself, changing to even a slightly more positive and trusting mindset seems like an almost impossible task but through small steps and books with guidance, you can be helped towards living your best life. However, as stated, this is much more of a workbook with directed tasks than an informative guide to intuition. There is some excellent information that appears right at the beginning but then it's all tasks and suchlike after that. I knew that it wasn't going to all be dedicated to information but I really thought that there would be more than there is.

This effectively means you need to buy an information guide and this separate book when it would've been more economical and helpful for the two to be contained within one volume. It was certainly a bit of a disappointment although I can't really say that it is inaccurately described; I just expected more. If you are looking for a book that helps you become more in the moment by doing select tasks in your day to day life this is a good option but if you have come looking for knowledge this isn't the right book for you. Many thanks to Watkins Publishing for an ARC.

I was skeptical as to how this workbook would help me in my everyday life, but it has done just that! You have to commit to completing the exercises in the workbook each day or it will not be as beneficial. I received this as as ARC and am ordering it to give to friends.

From iphelia.com’s Editor’s Bookshelf review: Jo ChunYan’s book led me to a deeper dive into what intuition, and a few constellated forces, mean to me. It won’t strike everyone’s fancy as it comes with its fair share of chakra talk, references to crystals, and so on, but while other reviewers are divided about whether it is too detailed or too general—more for the developed intuitive or the person just beginning to explore their intuition—to my mind, The Intuition Journal is space.
It’s an invitation to discipline, which is something I need in my life. When I was little, my mother read Our Daily Bread devotionals in the mornings. This was comforting. It was ritual and spirituality combined. It was something I expected to grow into when I was an adult but haven’t. I intuitively know I need routines when it comes to meditation, prayer, exercise, and so on, and I’m happy to see ChunYan, a young woman who obviously cares a great deal about aesthetic (she’s a designer), is inventing and investing in her own unique ways of holding space for others as they develop the discipline they need.

For anyone needing accountability on how to tune in to their intuition, this book is great; with the year broken in to segments and each having a weekly guide. Really thought provoking read.

A nice workbook to make your way through the year. divided into four thirteen week sections so you could start at time during the year (not date specific). Nice places to keep track of progress and things to do to help with your intuition and yourself as a whole.

Loved the premises of this book that we are all born with intuition, but we all need to refine it. I totally believe it in that. I really enjoyed the information from this book and see myself returning to it frequently. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I really like this workbook! I flipped through it as an eARC and enjoyed the ideas it presents enough that I may order myself a print copy to actually fill out the sections and follow through the 13-week program. I do think it's important to note that this is a workbook with tasks and goals, not just a book about intuition, so be sure you're aware of what to expect going into it.

Thank you so much to the publisher for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This book has some good concepts, but it could use a little more practical structure to really help the reader. There might need to be more a program, less of a "do what feels right approach." Instead of asking, "How much time do you think you can spend on it?" it would be better to recommend a minimum amount, or give some examples--"Person A manages to complete the activities in 10 minutes, Person B devotes 30 minutes to it," etc. For journalling, the author says "write as much--or as little--as you want." It could use more specifics to be memorable.

Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for a digital ARC.

A beautiful workbook with some helpful suggestions which would be useful for a beginner, but as a book for a beginner I think it needs far more detail, but if it’s for more experienced practitioners it’s not that great unfortunately

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

I believe this could be helpful for someone just beginning to work with their intuitive self, but keep in mind that it’s a workbook, not a journal. It’s a very left-brained way to go about working with intuition, which I found rather jarring. The info at the beginning was very helpful and a lot of thought went into the structure. I’ve been highly intuitive for most of my life, and I would find working with my intuition this way to be too rigid and formulaic.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I think this would be better in paper back rather than electronically. There are just some types of books that you need in front of you. I feel like I'd be easier to do the exercises and follow through on the journal with it physically in front of you. That said, I like the overall feel and content of the book.

This book has some snippets of useful information at the beginning but when the journaling starts it is too vague and generalistic. I found it a bit repetitive in places and the prompt questions did not inspire me that much. Couldn't really relate it to intuition. However someone out there might really like it and it might be just the thing for them.

This book is really beautifully and thoughtfully put together. You can tell it was written with the best of intentions for the reader and will help a lot of people. It was a bit too syrupy sweet to me at some places, but a nice book.

While I enjoyed the detailed instructions, in the beginning, I could not resonate with the flow of the "journal", which at this stage more resembles a workbook than anything else. While that is fine, it is not what I expected. Even if one would look at this book from a workbook point of view, it is simply too unclear, and all over the place to be very useful over the entire period the reader is supposed to be working on it.
I did not enjoy this journal at all.
